Update from Yesterday
Since you're reading this now, obviously I didn't admit myself to the psych hospital or anything. I'm supposed to get a phone call from the ACT team in my county to schedule an intake appointment. If you're not familiar with ACT, they're essentially a mental health treatment team that meets with clients up to 3 times a week instead of the typical once a week therapy session. The team can include psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, peer support, social worker/case management, and even a vocational counselor. I could really use the extra support and I think the stress of not hearing from them yet (I was referred on Friday afternoon), combined with the random weird stuff I stumbled across online yesterday, made me feel unstable. I'm still not feeling that great but I think I'll call the referring agency around 3 PM (almost 1 PM here now) if ACT team doesn't reach out before then. I don't want them dropping the ball on me again! I was supposed to get them several months ago after my last hospitalization and they keep forgetting about me or something. I'm extremely anxious about getting the additional help, especially with housing.
