The juxtaposition of horror and comedy is obviously a pretty essential part of Animorphs but I really wanna give a special shout-out to the sequence of books that goes
19: Cassie is lost in the woods with a Yeerk she refuses to kill and risks everything they've worked for in the naive hope of forming a peace.
20-22: The Animorphs bring in a new recruit, only to trap him in the body of a rat and leave him on an uninhabited island after realizing he's too much of a liability to keep around.
Hork-Bajir Chronicles: The tragic story of how the peaceful and innocent Hork-Bajir were lost to the Yeerks due to the Andalites' arrogant indifference.
23: Tobias is finally offered the promise of a real family but has it yanked away when they discover it's all a ruse.
24: YEEEAHH, IT'S THE FUCCKIN HELMACRONS, BABIY!!! YOU WANT MORE SOUL-WRENCHING CHARACYER DEVELOPMENT? NAH, WE DOING "HONEY, WHO SHEUNK THE ANIMORPHS" IN THIS BIYCH!
Kalamias
When I was a kid, my grandpa would always give me this very sour fruit called Kalamias or Kamias (Bilimbi in english). I like sour taste and dipping kalamias in rock salt is one of the best flavors in the world.
I remember how my grandpa would give me some from a tree near his house whenever I request for it and he would look really happy upon seeing me happy with it. I miss them almost asâŠ

Burmese Days by George Orwell Burmese Days by George Orwell My rating: 5 of 5 stars Burmese Days deals with topics most of us will not be comfortable to discuss.
a year, no two, time, it flew sixty films, ten poetries, a song, four strings, too many memories, and piled random things all blocked the door til one by one they hit the floor smash, smash, broken glasses, smash all we did was clash- all we did was smash a year, no two, fifty three sunrises, and no clue how we gained bruises, cried, lied, sighed and somehow died by the end of the summer, storms came, we couldn't weather on the 53rd sunrise at the shore, i found the key to the door sixty films, ten poetries, a song, four strings, too many memories, and piled random things- i carried them all with me, in time all will be free (at Magalawa Island) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1_rMMsn-a8/?igshid=1vtz1ljhijiqk
âIâm committed to finishing this. Â Iâm on page 83 right now. Â I havenât finished anything in a long time. Â So even if I only read ten pages a day, Iâm going to finish. Â I just need to prove to myself that I can. Â After graduation I moved back to my hometown. Â I just wanted to recharge. Â But Iâd been away for so long that I didnât know who I was anymore. Â My bedroom was exactly the same. Â My NYU acceptance letter was still hanging on the wall. Â My varsity letter jacket was in the closet. Â I had this wooden peg with like twenty academic medals on it. Â Iâd always been the smart one in our family. Â Everyone thought I was going to do so much. Â But somehow Iâd lost my way. Â Iâd gone to this big city, and gotten this big education, and Iâd wasted it all. Â I have no idea what to do with my life. Â Even my laugh has changed. Â It used to be my favorite thing about myself. Â But now it sounds hollow. Â Like Iâm faking it. Â Or just mimicking other people. Â I feel like Iâm not a whole person. Â I used to read so much as a kid. Â I finished War and Peace when I was thirteen. Â So I just need to prove to myself that I can finish this. Â Maybe if I can finish one thing, itâll open me up to that girl again. Â The one who knew everything and what she wanted to be.â
Today I walked around. A lot. Even if it was still a bit hot outside, I tried to not feel it. I just miss walking around. When I'm walking I forget to think about a lot of things. I tend to focus on the surroundings. I watch the world and feel like I'm a part of it, finally. I breathe and feel like I am alive somehow, like it's not a task, like it's easy. I remember how walking is much easier in PH. Work is too much? Walk outside, use the stairs, count the steps for the nth time cuz you never remember how many, go to Makati Med, grab some Turk's, go back ok. Condo feels empty? Walk outside, get mistaken as a prostitute, feel disgusted, have a check if your jeans is actually showing your ankle, lol it is, that's probably why, well there's Ralph's, buy your favorite Zinfandel and red, don't be mad at him if he asks for your ID, just think about the drinking, haha, go back to condo happy. Life seems a lot to take? Walk outside, go to that Vietnamese resto you love, order the usual, ask for extra vinegar, go back fulfilled, watch FRIENDS for the nth time. UAE, I'm not complaining. I am starting to get used to you and your extremes. It's just that sometimes I wish we have that perfect middle ground where you and I agree that too hot is weird and that I need to be in a place where walking around anytime is possible, where I won't be stopped by weather situations, because it is one of the things that saves me from...I don't even know what. đ Just, chill out please and let me walk without sweating. đ (at Sharjah) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1eapq0n6Af/?igshid=pj1hvfb649ph

Orwell is a genius, the proper kind. It is evident that his mind is way ahead of his time. Either that or he just understood his present better than most.
âIf coffee canât wake you up, maybe 1984 will. â
1984 might just be one of the most horrifying political book ever written that it may as well fall under a tragedy and horror at the same time.âŠ

Clouds look like incoming tsunami. From here
Earth is really mad at us
MOTHER NATURE
The reason itâs called French Toast is absolutely ridiculous and Iâm so mad rn about the story
Okay so, Basically the story is that French toast was coined in 1724, by an illiterate innkeeper in Albany New York, Who was named Joseph French
ITâS named French Toast because when Joseph FRENCH STARTED SELLING IT the sign instead of saying Frenchâs Toast- because he was illiterate- said French Toast.
And THAT IS WHY ITâS CALLED FRENCH TOAST AND NOT SOMETHING ELSE
Are you fucking kidding me
I TOLD Y'ALL IT WAS RIDICULOUS
Back up though, are we just going to swing right past the fact that Jacob French, hero of the ages, couldnât write a menu but did invent the most delicious breakfast food known to man? Did he NEED to spell it right considering the gift he bestowed on humanity?Â
Literacy weeps in the face of genius, my friends. I feel like he should be entitled to drop the apostrophe-s, HE GAVE US FRENCH TOAST.
Iâm gonna tell this story to everyone I know for the sheer joy of spreading the name of Jacob French, patron saint of delicious fucking breadstuffs.Â
Man are you gonna be upset when you hear about German chocolate cake.
Not as mad as I bet the Germans are!Â
(And to all who commented, yes I realize French Toast as a thing probably came from way before Jacob French, I just couldnât resist indulging in an anti-rant about it. :D )
Do u ever have an inside joke with urself
Thereâs a brain condition that gives you an uncontrollable urge to make puns. If youâve damaged the right frontal lobe of your brain, you can develop Witzelsucht, which is German for âjoke addictionâ.Â
The condition causes a compulsive need to constantly make up or tell jokes- even in the middle of the night or during an important interview.Â
