some thoughts abt the tadc finale, now that it's in cinemas and people around the world have watched it as well.
spoilers below. that's all i gotta say and that's the reason why I stopped tadc content.
the tadc finale severely disappointed and to some degree disgusted me.
I've never seen quite the literal character assassination than what happened to Jax. As someone who heavily related to him and the possibility that he might be so defensive and aggressive due to traumatic experiences. He was 22. That's so young when you think about it. Seeing his story end with suicide while the rest of the episode tries to hammer in what a jerk he is. So much build up for him to have a beginning of a redemption arc and yet, no payoff whatsoever. He just dies, or at the very least, "just" abstracts. His story leads nowhere and as someone who rooted for him to grow and become a better person why owning up to his wrongdoings, realizing the mistakes he's done, how badly he had treated the others... nah, he's just gone. We gave so much energy to this character for him to be killed off by the writers when initially we're given so many hints that the others, despite Jax's wrongdoings, are willing to accept him and don't want him to die or be hurt. Also, I feel like none of the characters got a proper conclusion to their arcs, issues and almost none of them grow. The people with room to grow don't use it, and one of them just dies. Idk man, I'm disappointed and shocked at the choice to show a character with so much attention drawn to his arc essentially committing suicide.
