Might have made a kemetic sideblog linked to my main art blog. Can’t say I’ll be *super* active since I’m mostly on Twitter these days, but feel free to give me a follow at @iaunehehdjehuty for those still alive, kicking, and so inclined.

Hi all!
So I’m likely about to switch to primarily using mobile tumblr for my art account (gr3if.tumblr.com) which means my already sporadic updates might indefinitely drop to just flat-out...nonexistent on this account. I’ll probably return to kemetic tumblr eventually, but in the mean time if you want to keep in touch feel free to give me a follow over there. :)
party hard, fight harder.
WENUT, THE SWIFT ONE
Good day, everyone! I wish all of you the best in this week ^^
Today’s drawing is Wenut, requested by @blogssuchasthis
ENJOY!
Also, this is my new art blog ( @med-val ),
I really appreciate it when you follow me here :)
I was looking through the kemetic fandom tag and saw a lot of people posting about how Seth would love Deadpool. Thus, I present to you: Sethpool.
Sorry if someone’s already drawn it! I didn’t see anything like this, so I decided to doodle it myself
Temple of Horus, Egypt
its horus he’s here
Guys no, it gets so much better.
A small fat bird, like the above, is the hieroglyph used in Ancient Egyptian to mean “wicked” or evil”.
The phrase above him (the inscription should be read from the top down) is “Nb s3″ or “Lord of the son of”. Genitive is usually implied in this sort of phrase without a connecting word, meaning:
This birb has literally created the sentence and declared himself “ Lord of the Son of Evil”
God dammit, I realised I made a mistake doing this from memory- the first sign is “k” for “your”, not “nb” for “lord”. So this birb has declared himself “your evil son”, not “the lord of the son of evil”. Which is not quite as dramatic, but still very menacing. You go bird.
Behold, my evil son. I am so very proud of him.
He’s done his best

Bast-Mut of Texas - Regional Gods
When I considered regional gods, I had this flash of inspiration that I HAD to draw Mom in bluebonnets.
Being an author myself, I owe so much to Thoth. The least I can give Him is a painting ♥

Thoth
An intuitive/divined piece. My client wanted a human-headed Thoth.
the bane of ra’s existance… he’s probably pestering to let him take the kingdom. just for a day! a hour? a second? ra please. ra… ra! raaaa!!
how i picture the signs
aries: tall/slender build, maybe wearing glasses, hands that you can't help but want to hold, friendly looking, someone you see and immediately want to get to know
taurus: eyes you can barely see because they're always smiling, energetic glow, probably wearing a hat, messy hair, good at dressing themselves, likes wearing jewelry
gemini: icy gazes but kind smiles, "resting bitch face," nice eyebrows, somebody you always want to compliment, beautiful facial structure
cancer: a soft face, eyes that make you melt, cheeks you want to squish, reserved and shy smiles, the perfect size to hold close, cutest noses
leo: big and dark eyes, hair you want to run your hands through, kissable lips, brightest smiles, look like they were made to shine in the sun, great to wrap your arms around
virgo: fairly short, probably freckled, always serving looks, smug smirks, polite and proper, their laughs almost always make everyone else laugh as well
libra: sensual gazes, firm jaws, great sense of style, flirty grins, pointed noses, soft floppy hair, lean arms, actual greek gods/goddesses
scorpio: typically darker vibes, dyed hair, soft but focused eyes, lush hair and lips, always have some sort of token accessory, trendy dressers
sagittarius: tired eyes, pissed off expressions, long hair, nose/lip piercings, sharp winged liner, wearing something dark, warm smiles, probably sipping coffee
capricorn: brown/orangey aura, if the autumn season was a person, cozy presences, soft dark hair, seemingly snobby posture (arms crossed, lips pursed, brows furrowed), spacey gazes
aquarius: quirky and lively, medium length hair, goth bitch looks, anxious expressions, bold and "different" makeup, weird but cute sense of style
pisces: either really tall or really short, always seem irritated, wearing a hoodie or beanie, small but nice smiles, kinda emo, messy brows, look like puppies
Hatmehyt, Foremost of Fish
Hi! How are all of you doing?
Today’s drawing is goddess Hatmehyt for @djar-em-rekh
ENJOY IT!
To Kemetics:
As an organ donor and somebody who knows the rest of my body will likely be burned after death, I’ve had a bit of trouble working out how this fits into the deceased’s needs for the Kemetic afterlife. My khat [x] will not be whole.
While I have a somewhat altered view of the afterlife, I still would like to do all I can to be able to enter Duat.
I’m new to entering into Kemeticism as a religion but ever since I was five or younger, I’ve been drawn to Ancient Egypt. I know it, like all civilisations, was far from perfect. But if I were to pick one group of Deities above all others, I would choose the multitude of Kemet*. My knowledge is limited and I’ve only just returned to serious attempts to digest all information available.
I’ve been reading about Djehuty/Thoth’s various roles in the afterlife and how, as a Magician God, He aids in the deceased’s “reconstruction”. Maybe I’ve misunderstood something along the way. Perhaps it’s more that spells would request Djehuty/Thoth’s assistance in this, as He did for Asar/Osiris? I’m reading Thoth: The History of the Ancient Egyptian God of Wisdom by Lesley Jackson, and that’s where I’m picking this up. Please correct me.
Anyway, I had an idea.
I’d like to know what you think.
Since funerary texts and spells where a Big Deal™ in Ancient Kemet, I thought it might be possible (with guidance from the appropriate Deities) to create a “pseudo body”.
This “simulcarum” of me would be treated to ceremonial magick, rituals, spells, and prayers throughout my lifetime. I would aim to imbue it with all other aspects of who I am. And, as a final request, I would have it buried or kept somewhere after my death. Which won’t be for several decades yet.
In regards to Kemetic religion and magic, do you think this is feasible?
How would you go about it if you were to do it yourself? What are your thoughts? Anything would be useful to hear.
Of course, I will consult the Gods. I know Bastet/Bast and Aset/Isis have already told me to step out of my comfort zone. I believe I can feel Djehuty/Thoth’s gaze. I will go to Them with my questions too.
But for now, Kemetics of Tumblr, I’d like your thoughts.
*I hope the Hellenistic Deities I hold dear do not see this as a slight. I see all Gods/Goddessses as various facets of Universal experience. From Atum and part of the Cosmic Mind. *frets*
I simply use a Picture of me that is uploaded on the internet. :O

Renenutet, goddess of the harvest, with some flax flowers. Flax was an extremely important crop in Ancient Egypt, so thankfully Renenutet is here to protect it! Prints available here.
