ANyways, small rant about the context of the drawing for all those who care; No, it's NOT Ra shielding his eyes from the sun, WHY would he do that

It's him and Wadjet (the giant snake )) making their way through the sandstorms of the Duat! It's said that Wadjet can serve as a type of umbrella/ shield for Ra with her hood whenever they go to the Duat together !!!!

And I also really wanted to practice drawing snakes/ specifically king cobras since those have been my favorite type of snake since I was like five

Peseshkef / Fishtail knives

Used for cutting the umbilical cord after childbirth, perhaps circumcision and later the "Opening of the Mouth Ceremony" after mummification, allowing the deceased to eat, drink, speak and breath in the afterlife.

Therefore the knives are serving as a direct link between birth and death in Ancient Egypt.

Just wanted to say I’m in love with Zaia. That is all. I know they’re upwards of 300 years old or so but every time they’re even mentioned I point and shout “that’s my baby!!!!” 😭 I love them so much I’m eating every tiny interaction or mention or tease like it’s a feast. I can’t even say I can’t wait for them to come back because even when they’re not there, they’re still there. I love them so much. Thank you for blessing us with Zaia I won’t ask for anything else 😭❤️

The Duat works in an interesting way. It’s a bit like a parallel dimension. It is there, in our world, but it’s just very different, and you can’t see into it.

But someone can. And if you asked that someone about it, he would tell you that yes, Zaia has been following you around, even if none of you are fully aware of it.

tkc was meant to be a 90s sitcom, actually. the magic god stuff is just a B-plot to things like sadie accidentally scheduling a date with walt for the same time as a date with anubis. a leaky pipe causes sadie and carter to have to move into the same room for the whole episode, getting on each other's nerves and dividing it down the middle with tape. sadie house-sits in the duat for her parents (julius/osiris+ruby) for the weekend; has a huge party, and has to scramble to clean it up in time, all while walt is trying to buy her more time by distracting them. the parents of one of the initiates come over to the brooklyn house for dinner, and everyone has to pretend that it's just a normal boarding house.
