About the person behind this blog:
Hi! I wanted to do a pinned post giving you a little information about me and this blog.
About me: I am a cis female who identifies as aroace. I did not discover asexuality until about age 27 though. I just didn’t know it was a thing until then. It was shortly after that that I decided that aromantic fit me as well. It has been almost a decade since then and I have become very comfortable with myself and my orientation.
About the blog: I started this blog literally the same week I discovered that I was asexual. I started it as a way to explore asexuality. However, I very quickly became someone that a lot of people were asking questions to, like I was some kind of authority (pro-tip, I’m definitely not!). I did my best to research and answer the questions. It quickly got out of control though and I had to shut down questions and submissions. I just couldn’t handle it anymore. Especially those who thought that they needed to yell at me and call me names when I got some bit of information wrong.
So, now this is a positivity blog about asexuality, the ace spectrum, aromanticism, and the aro spectrum. I know asexuality and aromanticism don’t always go hand in hand and people can be one without the other, but I am both, and this is my blog, so you’ll find me posting a lot about both. You won’t find any discourse on this blog. I engage in some discourse on my main blog, but I like to keep this a discourse free space. There are plenty of other blogs out there if you’re interested in that.
Depending on how busy my life is, I will turn on questions occasionally.
Currently questions are off.
