"For 99 percent of the time, Robert was lovely. Once a week, though, he’d have one of his weird days. I’d know we were getting one because on those occasions he’d always come down to the hotel reception in the same clothes, these baggy surfer pants tucked into cowboy boots. Whenever he dressed like that, he was a bit off and he’d give you the run around, becoming the taskmaster again. I don’t know what it was, whether it was hormonal or something." – Chris Blackwell

^ That was the first part of the post.
Didn't think I'd be so lucky (imitating Robert singing I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue during Tall Cool One) to find any pic of these infamous "baggy surfer pants tucked into cowboy boots".
For anyone who also got curious whether there was a strong correlation between the T-shirt and the moody pants – there wasn't as Robert wore them with other types of clothes too.
But then I wondered how often he wore the T-shirt. It's quite famous, so to speak, and several photos of it circulate in the Internet.
I don't claim to list every show, only those I've managed to somehow track. There were likely more occasions when he wore it in both 1988 and 1990. Feel free to add :)
So here we go in chronological order!
"Robert attended Jimmy's Worcester, MA concert Oct 29th and there is photographic proof he wore this shirt at his own concert held in the same venue the very next night, which further substantiates having acquired it at Jimmy's gig." – SteveAJones
"Then I saw him at Red Rocks in Denver in mid September. He didn't wear the Jimmy t-shirt until the encore. It must have been one of the first nights he wore it onstage, as I remember him walking to the microphone, chest out to show off the t-shirt, and not saying a word for what seemed like 2-3 minutes. Then, the band went right into Over the Hills and Far Away for their first encore number." – And You Know How It Is?
