In which DorianxCullen FINALLY

 Dorian still felt a strange sizzle between his own personal magical energy field and whatever the hell Templars created with their lyrium guzzling.  It was as though Cullen's aura of a Templar remained around him like a cloak.  Hungry, or pulling all around him, like a heavy staff wielded into a lightning storm.  

Laying next to a Templar was a bit like holding a soft, fuzzy, very pretty lion.  Dorian wasn't afraid, however; in part due to his rigorous training, and in part due to his own pride.  He'd taken on time magic just a few months ago--one Templar was nothing.  And yet he could feel the pull of the Veil in the room as well.  Curious spirits, and some more sinister than curious.  Watching and leering at the vessel that slept, protected by the cast of an altus.  

The lion stirred finally, and Dorian's eyes cut from the book.  He didn't want to wake Cullen unnecessarily, and stayed still when one leg flung over his own, and Cullen's aggressive clinging turned to a less aggressive, but heavy-handed, palm on Dorian's stomach and then chest.  Dorian heard a sharp inhale, and a ragged exhale.  Oh, Cullen was awake all right, some parts of him even more awake than normal.  The altus didn't have a witty comment to make, and his gloating "Good morning, sleepyhead" never left his mouth.  Cullen rose up and met his eyes before planting very scratchy, scruff-surrounded lips on Dorian's.  The mage could feel the crushingly strong heartbeat from the Warrior, resolute and quick, like a war drum.

I only had an hour to write this so it's not the best piece of work I've done, but it's passable. LOL Will expand on this for a full drabble later when I have time to refine and further explore the government custody. Little Grace

List of headcanons for Grace's Childhood.

She watched a ton of cartoons, specifically super hero cartoons spider-man, power puff girls etc. It was either these or something like Tom & Jerry or Scooby-Dobby-Doo. This was also due to her not having any friends.

Also she watched courage the cowardly dog

Since she watched a lot of these cartoons she grew up to read comics as a teenager and books in her college years.

She was always interested in mystery and thriller, so most of her reading list comprises such books but she reads some romance novels too squirming and burying her face in the pillow or her hand at the awkward and embarrassing scenes.

Also due to watching superhero material, she always wanted to be like one calm, collected and always brave. She thought of her mother in the same way, (And now she has Leon)

Coming to her mother, Alyssa was a busy woman but whatever time she had for herself she would give it to Grace, because she wanted the kid to feel home, she had no idea how Spencer treated her so she tried her best. A teen Grace made fun of her mother of not doing anything for herself, it was her way to push her to live a little ('Only on of us can be friendless and I can't have competition)

She was curious, creative and 'for science kid' trying out experiments you wouldn't even think of. As a kid she exhausted all her will power to try out things so much so that as a teenager and an adult she thinks 50000 times before doing anything. But this quality does not disappear it re-emerges in time of high anxiety allowing her to take quick actions

A few of her fears stem from events from her childhood which happened due to her 'experiments'

She played a lot of those pretend-games, usually she was a detective (because the 5 year old didn't understand what her mother did) or a superhero, maybe both. She would have well planned stories for these games, stories she will tell her mother when she came back

Grace had no favorite toys, most of her toys were left behind as they moved from one place to another, she also has nothing of her childhood up to the time her mother died, only a cloud file of her childhood photos that Alyssa created after she kept losing her pictures.

Grace always wears footwear, even on the bed because she is used to leaving abruptly and has felt place bare feet, naturally does not like it, so now she is always prepared.

She was a small child with almost white hair, so she was bullied for it in many places. The tables turned when Frozen was released now every kid wanted that hair. Also Elsa is her favorite Princess.

This one I made up just for the laughs. We know the events of re6 were very public for most of the part, news channels were covering live footages of the events, planes, trains, building everything and an 8 or 9 years old Grace asked her mother is she watching a spider-man movie her mother tells her it is the news and she became excited and asked "Does that mean Spider-man is real?!" (I might write a one-shot for this)

I just realized, Grace has never had a father-figure in her life, until Leon. So she is unable to identify the fatherly affection he shows her, she thinks that is just friendship, since she never really had any friends so that is also out of her syllabus...

She is smart in analyzing but in the social sphere is a goldfish T-T

Grace's Future

This is a rant about what I want, there are headcanons and may be theories coming along the way. I like writing so I have ideas I would like to share.

I have seen a few character studies for her and there are people who don't think they should bring her back, not because they don't like her but because they think that her story is complete and any extension may break her character, I don't agree because I think there is more for her. It is well established that she is not the one to run away no matter how scared she is, that was the essence of her character.

But I don't think she will go into it right after the Canon ending. I believe she will convince herself that she is not cut-out for this, and she CAN stay away. No one is more happy than Leon with this decision, he really doesn't want her to go through what he had suffered. But this does not last, from time to time she will see Leon or Sherry being hurt and it will bother her, but she will just tell herself she will only be a liability. From time to time she will hear them talk about it, she doesn't ask but she mentally jots the clues, something she will assemble into logic at the end of the night. Then her breaking point will come, that will likely be if one of her loved ones are in danger, Leon, Sherry or even Emily and then she will get involved, going through every shred of evidence just to find a solution and when it is all over she will confess she can't just watch from the sidelines knowing she can help and it is her decision to join them in this fight, one her mother fought and died trying.

But she will not jump into field work, she is their analyst, cracking the wall of logic to help them through, but this won't last either, everything that makes it to her has already lost a part of it, some big some small, which lead to errors, which leads to lives lost, this when she gets in action and hold your horses she ain't gonna be a agent like Leon or Sherry, she is more into investigation, find things before they become dangerous and this time she will collect evidence by herself so nothing slips away (I'm catching major eldest daughter vibes from her). And after hearing this Leon trains her because he can't handle the thought of her unable to fend herself (also healing his past trauma of his teacher) But even after the training Grace doesn't become some flashy rocket-launching diva, she is still a diva but in other ways, she knows her strength is her brain. She keeps her skills under wraps relying on her wits to clear her path before doing a BACKFLIP (sorry Leon). She can fight now and she knows 'knives are better for close encounters' but she avoids those encounters, half of it is survival the other half is the knowledge that these people can find a cure (I don't think Elpis cure everything, just viruses ig). This will maintain horror in her story and provide growth to her. Maybe she will be working for the FBI on papers but behind the scenes she will be helping Leon, Sherry maybe even the hound wolf squad (that be fun ngl). Leon would be constantly looking out of her, only for her to return the favor, she might team up with Sherry.

One of Leon's biggest concern is that she gets sucked into the same vortex as him, but Grace is known what happened with him hence knows that she might not always have a choice, so she builds a safety net, evidence against sitting officials, motivated by Ada (yes I ship, aeon) and alias keeping her name out of it so Emily doesn't get dragged into it.

This is all for now, I haven't really thought how long this process will be, but it will take time. If you have a thought do share it, I will love to hear more of Grace <3

My thoughts on Grace's bite

I have seen everybody talk about the bite from the police officer in the being of the game and many have come up with a theories I would like to discuss and share my own

1st: She must be from the 10% immune population

So there is this thing in the re universe that 10% of the population is naturally immune to progenitor based virus, all are raccoon city survivors are part of it. This seems passable, but one thing that stands out is Grace was bitten in an unskippable scripted moment(correct me if I am wrong) that it a first I guess. I mean this is the 1st time a character has been bitten and no cure is administered or even talked about later, it happened and everyone forgot, this maybe left for DLC or something.

2nd: Victor gave her a cure

This I don't believe in. People say she was administered a cure but the thing they mention is just a miss spelled real life medicine for infection (this I found in a youtube video, I forgot the name tho) do you really think that will help against the T-virus. Also next thing in the observation was no sign of infection, if he had delivered the cure why would he observe for infection

3rd: This variation does not spread through bits

Well that is wrong because when we play as Leon in Wernwood if we are unable to intervene new zombies are created and we have to fight them too, soooo no.

4th: she was administered a dose of elpis

Now this is highly likely. The way Spencer said 'perfectly normal' was well maybe a hint towards this. Also there is a theory that the child was herself immune and elpis was created with her blood and that's why she was the blind hope, which sounds cool though.

5th: Spencer lied

Okay a ton of people believe this, I can see why. This guy wasn't the sanest person on earth. I think this is not the case as this will be very poor writing. Some people disagree that Spencer will ever be the good guy and I get that, hell I’ll even agree even with. But there is the reason that the re5 thing may not be canon and some say that was due to dementia.

My theory: this is more of a concept, story idea if will you

Okay so we know that Spencer was going nuts in his end time. His past and present personality were crashing with each other. So here the deal, when he said she was normal and not one of his test subjects, he was telling the truth or he thought so. He was losing his mind, he was a senile old man, what he told to Alyssa in that moment he was firmly believing in what he said. There were also times when he would be his old self and in those moments he did ran test on her, this is wwhy he even has her blood work in his notes which Victor finds, which he uses to confirm that Grace is the person they were looking for. He has some notes on it but they are not complete. Even if they find this they will never be able to find what excatly he had done to her. I also have a theory that Grace might be connected to Alex Wesker and her project but I don't know much about her and her project of I'll talk about that later

Took me a while to get around to this but.

The Explained.

Grace was a baby when Spencer adopted her for some sense of atonement. He referred to her just being a normal child without a home when Alyssa inquired if she was another experiment She was referred to be the key to unlocking Elpis by Gideon and Zeno whom were under the false belief it was some sort of mind control virus.

The Unexplained.

In the beginning of the game, she was clear bitten and gotten a chunk taken out of her – so why didn’t she turn or mutate?

If the girl you play in the orphanage was Chloe – why was Grace having flashback about it right after the segment ended?

If Emily was an attempted clone of Grace, why does Chloe, a clone created by Spencer look so identical to Emily?

Why was Grace’s DNA profile so important to Gideon and Zeno?

What really is Grace’s connection to Elpis?

What we know as facts.

Alyssa’s interview with Spencer in 2004, just two years before his death. While the game portrayed him as having empathy – it’s a stark contrast to his death cut scene with Wesker in Europe which portrayed him as the same old Spencer.

Theories

Spencer’s so called "Atonement". I personally don’t think there was any sort of atonement goal in that man’s heart. I believe that he passed Grace off as just a normal girl to Alyssa in order to hide her in plain view from the Connections.

Alyssa’s involvement. She might not have known the full story -- but Alyssa is an investigative journalist. I would find it very hard to believe if she didn’t do her research either after the first encounter with Grace or after being entrusted with Grace’s care. Since we didn’t get to see ALL the files that were on the MO Disc, I would like to believe there was some info on there about the Connections and the fact they were hunting Grace  THEY DID MY POOR GIRL DIRTY BY MURDERING HER LIKE THAT UGLYCRIES

Grace isn’t just a normal girl. With Emily being a clone attempt to Grace and Chloe having such close appearance to Emily -- it’s not that far fetched that Grace is too a clone. Chloe existed before Grace, was in Raccoon City so the argument that Chloe was another Grace attempt clone is null and voided. I think Spencer finished what he sent out to do and Grace was the final perfect clone. So why did Grace have flashbacks of Chloe’s experience in the orphanage? I have a few ideas about this -- all of which point back that the memory transfer that Spencer talked about was a success. But with Grace being so young, there was no way for him to actually know and died before he could witness it come to fruition.

So why did Grace not mutate or turn after being bitten? While some could argue that is was because of Gideon’s intervention this happened. But I like to think it’s because of her connection to Elpis. Grace and Elpis was referred to as Spencer’s hope. I think her blood held the answer to Elpis’s creation. There was a lot of theories before the game released that Grace held the Daylight virus because of being Alyssa’s daughter. But after the reveal I think her blood either single handedly was used to create Elpis or to greatly enhance the Daylight Virus to not only eradicates the T-virus but all bio-weapon Viruses. I like the think that Gideon had some sort of insight knowledge that Grace’s blood was used in the creation of Elpis in some way shape or form which is why he constructed her full DNA profile to confirm it was her.  Because she had a natural immunity to the virus’s she could not be turned. 

So if Spencer was still an asshole in Resident Evil 5 why create an anti-viral? It’s simply driven by selfishness. I believe that Spencer knew the Connections were working in the background to seize all of Umbrella’s assents. It’s evident that there was some sort of Governmental insiders that were working with Zeno and Gideon which is why Gideon’s care facility flew under the radar for SO long. Spencer didn’t want to see his legacy fall in the hands of someone else and they get all the credit for his work. He essentially created Elpis as a self destruct contingency but couldn’t execute it in time because of Wesker’s interference.

So where does this leave my portrayal of Grace?

I will be following through with my theories for Grace’s portrayal. It gives the idea that if Grace’s blood was used to cure all bio-weapon virus’s it could also be used to make said virus’s resistant to the Anti-viral if fallen into the wrong hands. For writing angst purposes I do take the clone route

The Monster you Created.

Katana Codename: Nyx

“Who are you?!”

A question was poised, screamed out to be heard over the loud ambiance of the crashing waves against the lifted pier. His question would only receive a hard shove from behind, sending the scientist Nyx had taken possess of stumbling forward and almost off of the edge of the pier. An audible breath of relief was heard from him as he managed not to take the plunge into the water. Though, Nyx suspected, he would come later to regret that decision.

When the male turned abruptly to face her, he was only met with the barrel of her gun in his face. Emerald visage studied his movements as her victim if he could be called one remained frozen like a deer caught in headlights. One by one, Nyx had been tracking down all of Umbrella's loose ends that had direct dealings with her and eliminating Everyone. Single. One. This man was no different. Instead of laying low – through her research she had found him employed by The Connections, assisting in the creation of BOW's on the black market.

Too bad for him – he never did learn his lesson. Maybe, just maybe, Nyx would have spared him.

Fat chance.

The gun was lowered to his knee cap, the gun cocked and a single shot was fired without much provocation. He fell to the ground, hands clawing at the wound as he was screaming.

“You crazy bitch!”

Nyx closed the distance, slowly, like a predator stalking it's wounded pray. A foot lifted slightly, only to slam down onto his neck and shoved him flat onto to the peer. She crouched now, keeping the foot squarely planted on the neck. Her free hand, reached over and dug her digits into the gaping hole in his leg without any care to be gentle. This only made him scream louder, squirmed harder.

“Ya know, that's a good question. Who am I?”

Nyx finally spoke, each word drawn out in a childish fashion. Nails scrapping along the inside of the wound, peeling away pieces of muscle from bone like an orange peel. His anguished would be ignored.

"Well I've been referred to as many things throughout the years.." The hand left the wound now and wiped the blood off onto the scientist clothes. She stood now, her gun now aimed at his head.

"But to you, I'm the a monster from your past." For a moment, she watched as that confusion in his last moments that turned to a shock realization. His mouth opened to speak but a fanged grin twitched at the corner of her lips. The triggered was pulled before he could get anything out, splattering brain matter across the concrete. The foot that was on his neck lifted and used to shove the dead weight of the man over the elevated pier into the raging waters below.

The gun holstered now, hands lazily slipped into her pockets and she turned, leaving another memory of the past dead in the water.
