What if Regulus survived the cave and then went into hiding in France. There is an old family home on the coast of France, where he decides to live from then on. And he just lives the best life he can. He opens a little bookshop/bakery in town and is just excepted by the town from then on. Also, everyone flirts with Regulus. Moms, dads, and people home from university. And he’ll flirt back too. You always need a little spice in your life. He’s known in the town as a lover boy.

One day a familiar face walks into his shop.

"Um, hello? I-I saw your help wanted ad in the paper. For, um, assistant. Is the position still open? I can manage ledgers fairly well, and I can bake decently well."

They hadn't been friends at Hogwarts. Not even close. But, he knew about her, what she looked like and what happened after Hogwarts, and vice versa. Regulus stares at her for a moment. She didn't seem to notice that he was Regulus Black. Notorious Death Eater. The type of people who what to kill her girlfriend. She just gives him a nervous smile.

Regulus nods. "Yes, come to the back and we can talk it over."

Mary smiled and followed him.
