Um, you talk about us cherry picking the bible but you Christians do it too??? Your bible says you can't wear certain fabrics or eat certain meats and yet most Christians break the rules of Leviticus.

Moral law from the Old Testament still applies, and is reflected/carries over into the New Testament. For example, sins such as homosexuality, stealing, adultery, murder, etc are outlined as sins in the Old Testament and are again outlined as sins in the New Testament.

Ceremonial/ritualistic law which you are referring to were given specifically to the Israelites and with the coming of Christ, His followers are no longer bound to them. You will not find any of these laws outlined as requirements in the New Testament and there are verses that directly state we are no longer bound by them (I’m in a bit of a rush answering this, so I don’t have time to write the verses for you. But I can later if you’re interested).

It’s a complex topic and people often misinterpret it like you have. But it’s not cherry-picking. There’s a big difference between moralistic versus ceremonial/ritualistic law. And the fact that moral attitude regarding sin and what constitutes sin still stand after the coming of Christ means you can’t brush off sin as something that doesn’t matter anymore. Also, Christ Himself directly told His followers to deny themselves/turn away from sin.
