A man out of time.
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were: any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.
John Donne
For Whom The Bell Tolls || Asher&Calvin
“Take a deep breath and it’ll be over sooner than you think. Don’t think about the pain, it’ll only make it worse.” Calvin didn’t realize the advice before the words were already spoken. He felt bad for the guy but it was his decision on being mister pretty boy as he would call it. He gave Asher a smile before opening the door.
The hounds were quick to attach onto Asher, Calvin barely having enough time to remove his hand. Maybe the hounds did listen to the man’s whisper. He watched as they started to work on the new body, his body started to buzz with a sense of happiness, giddiness maybe. He smiled at the screams, a sense of home filling in the void he had for the past days.
He looked around to see if any of the neighboring tenants heard but none came out to see what was happening. That’s where the Earth was such a wonderful place for Calvin, not one human being cared for another. They would stab each other’s backs to get their dreams fulfilled. A place like that would be his playground.
Once the hounds had their fun, the body merely anything now, Calvin quickly brushed off his suit and walked back to his car. He whistled down the street, something he rarely did. Asher Leos was officially gone but tomorrow would bring a whole different kind of Hell. Or at least Calvin thought so, seeing how everyone gave him a hard time when the man was alive.
Asher only nodded his head and braced himself, trying to take Calvin's advice but once he was knocked onto his back and one of the hell hounds took a hefty bite, that advice completely left his mind. His screams of pain immediately filled the hallway and room and he tried to push them away but they were so much stronger.
Every ounce of flesh that they ripped from his bones, every vein severed by sharp, grinding teeth - he felt it. All of it. And while it was happening, his mind was not distracted into thinking of how this same torture would become his eternity. No. All he could process was pain. But after one hound tore out his jugular and before Asher suffocated, a single thought crossed his mind the second before his soul's permanent trip to Hell began.
It wasn’t worth it.

Calvin told the dogs to back down, promising their treat in a few moments. He opened the door and took a few steps inside, not noticing the man on the floor. He looked around the room before spotting Asher. The man’s barely hearable plea made Calvin laugh. His laughter bounced across the room, soon including the excited barks outside.
“After all the shit I’ve been put through with your little deal slipping out, the slow painful death would be more enjoyable.” He muttered, his eyes turning black. Calvin did not like to play games with his deals. “Tomorrow I’ll probably get even more shit so let’s just get this over with, shall we?” He walked over to Asher, knowing the man wasn’t going to willingly move on his own. He grabbed him by his shirt collar and pulled him up to stand on his feet.
“Maybe I’ll be nice. Let you get the quick way out but it’s not up to me. Oh no my friend, the hounds work at whichever pace they want. They’ve been waiting for you.” He laughed again while keeping a hand around the back of his neck, the grip being tight. No way was he letting Asher try to escape. He started to walk to the door, the barking and whimpering getting louder. Their nails scratched against the door, begging to get inside and have their way. “Any last words before we head out?”
Hearing Calvin's words solidifying his assumption, he cast his eyes downwards. In all honesty, he could see why Calvin would already be frustrated with him. He didn't fight the black-eyed demon as he forced him to his feet my his shirt collar and he didn't look him in the eye either. It was his own body's way of submitting.
He could hear the hungry growls of the hounds next to Calvin and it was a mistake on his part to look towards the noise. A large black dog that seemed to be surrounded by smoke with glowing red eyes greeted him and he flinched backwards but couldn't get far with Calvin's tight grip on him.
Wide frightened eyes latched on to Calvin's own but he made no more pleas. It was time for this to end, so he heavily moved his body with Calvin's as the adrenaline and fear moved through his system making his palms sweat. Just before the door opened, he glanced at the demon and shook his head. "No. No last words."
Asher, I know we didn't talk much later, but I'm so happy I met you. You were always so happy and you always had a smile on your face and a brownie to share, and silly little joked like Fire. I really am thankful that I got to know you, and I hope that wherever you go you won't forget us here in Mayfield, because I know we won't forget you. I'll miss you, Ash.
Thank you for your words, Blaze.
I love you. Always will.
“Claire, what are you doing?”
“I’m making Hayden a present, Ash!”
“You…you are something else.”
The Exit - Lydia I know you’re all about the world and when it’s ending And I know, yeah, ‘cause you whispered it right to me Just where the hell were you? I’ve just been sitting here counting ghosts And you look scared again
For Whom The Bell Tolls || Asher&Calvin
Calvin smiled as he awoken this morning. Today was the day. The day Asher Leos will be going to Hell. For the first time in a few days, he actually felt happy. It was a sickening happy seeing it was someone getting ripped to shreds, but he would take any happy at this moment. He felt a sense of worthiness as he made his way down the stairs, he felt like finally his father would be proud.
Unlike his sister, he never filled completely in the crossroads business. He wasn’t the one for responsibility, the thought alone made him laugh. He could of had much but he’s always done what pleases him. He went to he places he wanted to go, got the souls he wanted. Of course his father and Midas weren’t happy with him at times but that still didn’t stop him. He was a free spirit and nothing would change that.
He looked down at his watch, noting that it was now midnight. He looked over himself in the mirror, smoothed out his suit jacket and left the house. In every deal, whether you want them or not, the hounds come. Calvin was fond with one or two, they were pretty vicious animals. Going to the address Asher gave him earlier, he knocked on the door. “Tick, tock, tick, tock. Your time is up Mr. Leos.”
Asher had not been expecting the knock and so when the barking momentarily ceased, Asher lifted his head and stared dumbly at the words spoken by the demon he had sold himself to ten years before. "I-It's open," he called out, unable to move from his spot on the floor by the foot of the bed.
He knew he shouldn't hope for Calvin to decide to give him some more time, but he couldn't control himself from at least hoping just a small bit. Maybe he'' have some mercy, he thought for just a brief second before Calvin stepped inside.
Nervously, he swallowed and stared up at the demon. "Please tell them to make it fast," he asked in a near whisper. Although he knew it was unlikely that Calvin would agree to a quick death. But it couldn't hurt to ask just once.
“That’s super creepy, Gwen.”
“Shut up, Ash.”
Gwen swimming, taken by Asher.

Tick. Tick. Tick.
It was coming soon. The howling of the beasts of Hell was inching closer through every second that passed yet all Asher could focus on was the tick of the clock and the heavy pounding of his heart against his ribcage.
He had left his home earlier that day and was staying in a motel in a small city just off Mayfield. When they found him, he didn't want his corpse to be located in a place where the people he cared about made their home. He wanted all of the spaces of Mayfield to be filled with the happiness he shared with them.
No dark memories to stain where he had been happiest in those ten years. No police tape to mark off just where he had been torn apart so that the memory of his horrible death would stick around.
He shakily took in a breath, temporarily removing his eyes from the clock as it ticked down to midnight. He was ready for this - nearly relieved that his misery in the last month of life as people found out of his deal was coming to an end. However, he did not yet feel prepared to be torn apart and for his screams to frighten the motel's other occupants. But it seemed Midas hadn't been able to change his end and this was the consequence.
"I'm ready," he whispered and tightly shut his eyes as the rented door knocked against its hinges as the hell hounds made attempts to get inside.

Last day...
We just fulfilled tons of kids dreams.
We did... I just have to say, thank you, Delilah. For being my friend. I'm glad I had you around.
Last day...
Awesome… Thank you.
No problem. Oh, and if you see anything of mine in my house that you like, feel free to take it.
