The start of Yule and the Midwinter festivities began yesterday which means the Holly King is at the pinnacle of his power over the dark half of the year. The Holly King with prepare to battle his brother the Oak King at the Vernal Equinox, where the former will fall and the latter will regain again thus perpetuating the cycle of the seasons.
In contrast to my design for the Oak King, the Holly King is a little bit more somber representing the fortitude needed in the colder months.
I wish you all glad tidings in whichever winter festivity you partake in and prosperity in the year to come.
