Details About This AU

I’ve written in my fics (see here) about this AU before but this RP account will be one of two different non-canon divergencies:

Phoenix: Pyrrha dies but is revived by a cult of mysterious folk, ends up in Atlas, assumes the alias of Nicole Thessalia to keep her identity a secret from everyone both out of shame for being away for so long and missing so much and for her failure at Beacon, yet she’s compelled to come back to her friends, to her teammates.

Survivor: Pyrrha survives the fall but takes the alias Nicole Thessalia to keep her survival a secret from the world at large, but only RJNR+Y knows at first that it’s her.

In both cases, characters who know her personally (her teammates, RWBY, basically anyone she knew at Beacon) can address her as Pyrrha in private. Out in public, she goes by Nicole.

Although I am also open to doing Beacon-era Pyrrha as well (especially considering most reaction images I’ll use are from then), for the most part this blog is operating on the above timelines. 

Ships: Open to JNPR Berries, Arkos, Greek Lotus, Valkos, some others as long as it’s within reason. Not shipping w/ Cinder. Will multiship.

Going to keep things to PG-13 if possible, at least for now. (Though may reconsider depending on chemistry between muses, and maybe another sideblog will be just for those kinds of threads…just a thought for now though.)

No godmodding/character killing (Pyrrha’s died already once, she really doesn’t need to again) etc. If threads get violent I will tag accordingly for blood and such.

18+ only; not that I plan on getting overly NSFW on this account but just to be on the safe side.

This is a safe space for all LGBT headcanons; I play Pyrrha as pansexual.

If the muse isn’t familiar with those she’s interacting with or is trying to keep her identity a secret, she will be addressed as Nicole until otherwise revealed to be Pyrrha. She’s publicly under an alias but to her friends in private, she’s still Pyrrha.

DNI if you’re a TERF, racist, pedophile, nazi, homophobe, transphobe, misogynist or a bigot of any kind. I don’t tolerate that shit.

I occasionally will use reaction images (and yeah, they’re mostly going to be Beacon-era Pyrrha) but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.

Personal blogs can follow but cannot reblog from this account, especially RP’s. Please.

I am quick to block people for any of the above reason or if I’m otherwise made to feel uncomfortable.

If I do decide to do more mature things there will be a sideblog for that, but I haven’t decided if I want to or not just yet.

She just pressed her face further into Pyrrha’s shoulder, trying to keep the sand that was swirling around them from getting in her eyes. They’d just gotten Pyrrha back, only to immediately lose Jaune. It wasn’t fair. Of course, Nora had learned that lesson years ago, but that didn’t make it hurt any less.

“What’s the point, Pyr? Almost all of our friends are gone. Vacuo’s the only kingdom still standing. We can’t stop her. I’m sick and tired of losing everyone and everything! And not being able to do anything about it!

“Not all of them.” Pyrrha sobbed, holding Nora closely. “We still have Oscar, and...Emerald,” admittedly, she was still getting used to that, but she didn’t really have the time to process her feelings between Emerald joining them and now.

“And Ren,” she added, running a hand through Nora’s hair. “We have to stay strong for him, too.”

As he looked and saw the person sip he noticed their voice get less deep as they seemed to relax a little. It was nice to have someone to talk to after being alone for weeks. 

“ If you knew my whole story you wouldn’t being saying that. I’m not even qualified to call myself a human let alone a huntsman. “

As he took another sip his demeanor turned more somber 

“ Maybe if I hadn’t messed up at Beacon nothing like this would have happened. “ He looked into his cup as he spoke, trying to think through a multitude of ways things could have changed but never coming up with an outcome that would work. 

“ So I guess I should probably ask your name huh? Although you don’t have to give it if you don’t want to.”

She looked away for a moment when he mentioned Beacon; it was still a wound, too fresh and painful. The school she had failed. She quickly, quietly took a breath. Don’t think too much about it right now.

“You can just call me...Nicole.” She introduced. The new name was still something she was getting used to.

“ Ahhh thank goodness…” He let go of the hilt of the blade and immediately took a seat on the ground. He was exhausted and he was just glad this person was willing to talk. He reached into his bag and pulled out a thermos that he poured some hot tea into and gestured to the person to sit next to him and have a drink.

“ I can tell by your cloak that you seem to be in a similar situation… Come sit and have a drink. This should at least help warm you up since its cold.”

As he sat he got a slight glimpse of what the person looked like under the hood. From the angle he could only make out a few things, a mask and crimson hair… He could have sworn he had only seen hair that color once. He remembered someone with that color hair at Beacon but he couldn’t quite place it yet.

She let out a breath quietly when he sank to the ground. Clearly, neither of them were willing or able to fight at the moment. Good, she was tired; she’d been sleeping in caves for days now and her own food supplies had been nearly depleted (she had thankfully managed to get some lien which she’d hope to at least get a hunting bow with).

(If she could even bring herself to use the very thing that…)

Shaking her head she sat down across from the boy and placed her hand on her mask, not removing it.

“I can’t turn down such a kind offer, I suppose.” she spoke softly.

As he handed her the cup and poured one for himself, he couldn’t help but slump his head into his hands as he set the cup next to him. “ I have been travelling for almost 3 weeks and I can barely stand anymore. Maybe i should have just gone to Haven like some of my friends did. Maybe then things would have been easier… or maybe I’m just a failure as a huntsman, letting myself get this injured…” he pulled back the cloak and revealed his striking silver hair and deep blue eyes as he took a sip of his homemade tea.

He hoped the other person would feel better from his tea, the tea he made was specially blended to help healing and aura regeneration, although for him it was more the former than the latter.

She carefully sipped the cup in a way as not to show her face; being a celebrity in what was now her “past life” she had to be careful. Even with her hair cropped short, she worried her face was recognizable.

“I’m headed towards Haven myself. I’m tracking down some friends of mine. They don’t exactly know I’m...it’s complicated.” She explained, not wanting to give too much away just yet.

“Anyone can get injured like you are. Don’t beat yourself up. Even the most experienced huntsmen are vulnerable travelling alone.”

After calming herself, she wiped at her face. She took in a few deep breaths, gathering herself. “Did...Ren and Nora at least make it to Vacuo? I got separated from all of them.” She questioned, her voice soft.

As he approached with his katana readied, he saw the figure and it was like looking in a mirror. Someone in a tattered cloak trying to stay unnoticed. He drew closer and saw that they were only carrying a dagger. Although they weren’t well armed, he could sense that the person before him was on guard and would probably fight. 

He sheathed his sword but kept the hand on the hilt in case he needed to quickly draw it again. 

“ So… is dirty ripped up cloaks just the look now? Or am I starting a new trend…” He tried to start a conversation to gauge whether the person was hostile or not. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to fight again, last thing he needed was to reopen a wound. With his injuries he could only conjure part of his armor so its not like he would be fully protected. He kept hoping that they were either friendly or would just leave.

She paused; lowering her guard just a bit. He looked familiar. Couldn’t quite place him, though. A classmate? Someone from competitions? Either way, she could tell by his stance he wasn’t eager to fight either. Her own wounds, while healed, still affected her.

“I suppose.” She responded, looking him over. “Though I’m a bit out of touch with current events.”

She did. She sobbed, loudly, gripping her shortened hair and screaming. She sunk to her knees and cried into the ground.

“JAUNE!” she cried. “JAUNE WHY! WE…we just found each other, this isn’t fair!”

Marrow knelt down before hugging her, trying to comfort her. “I’m sorry….” He whispered.

“T-thank you.” She said, leaning on him. She didn’t know him too well, but she needed the comfort, the anchor. “I-I just...got him back...I...” Pyrrha trailed off before sobbing again.

“NO!” Nora let out another scream as she lurched forward, hands digging into the sand, sobbing. “He was.... Pyrrha he was still in there! What if he’s... if he can’t... oh gods...”

She turned her head, looking over to see Winter helping Oscar, Emerald, and Ren with the Ravagers. “Penny... I... no... nonononononono.”

She practically collapsed against her teammate, sobbing into her shoulder. “No one else made it out... Yang, Blake, and Ruby.... they all... they fell. But Weiss, Penny, and Jaune... they were all fine! What happened to them?! I never should’ve... I should’ve stayed with them!”

Pyrrha pulled Nora into her arms, holding her tightly. Tears spilled down her cheeks, her own breaths shaky. Jaune...Ruby...Weiss...Yang...Blake...Penny...No it can’t be. Her thoughts raced but she tried to focus on comforting Nora. Her head was spinning but she knew they needed to focus. More sorrow would only attract more Grimm, and they were already surrounded.

And judging by Winter’s newfound powers. Gods, Penny. Not again. I’m so sorry.

“Nora...Nora please.” Pyrrha begged, her voice breaking. “There’s nothing we can do now...we need to...we need to focus on staying alive right now.” She hugged Nora tighter, kissing her hair. “Please. I can’t lose you, too.”

3 weeks. Its been 3 weeks of constant travel to the point of exhaustion for Tigra. After everything that happened at Beacon, all he could do was fulfill Ozpins last wish and go to Mistral and get to Haven Academy. He had heard from the towns he had passed through that there was another team of hunstman and huntresses who were heading there. Maybe it was the rest of his team, maybe not. Either way, This was the only thing he could do. His arm still hurt from all the injuries he had sustained fighting grimm but he still pushed forward. 

“ Why cant things just go back to the way they were. Why would someone want to do all this…” 

His words echoed through the emptiness of the forest he was in. His cloak that covered his silver hair was in tatters and was still filthy from his travels but he would rather not stand out.

Suddenly he had a snap of a twig near him and immediately readied Akatsuki. 

“ Who’s there?! Show yourself!” he commanded.

He would know quickly whether it was a grimm or not. Either way he wasn’t putting away his weapon.

It had been three weeks and she still wasn’t sure how she was even alive. But she didn’t have much time to reflect on anything; once she’d been able to walk again, she was sent out to assist in what needed to be done; to find her friends and find out the truth for herself. She had no weapons, and she didn’t know why she couldn’t use her semblance. Every time she tried, her body just felt...hot?

Hair chopped sort, cloaked and masked, she wandered around Mistral, having been told she would find her friends there. She believed they would be heading to Haven Academy; of course they would be. But until she got there, no one could know it was her.

No one could know Pyrrha Nikos was alive. But she wasn’t Pyrrha Nikos. Not right now.

The command startled her; all she had was a dagger she had been haphazardly given. She was in no shape to fight, but she would if she had to. She had no choice, especially if Grimm were involved.

“You first.” She said, masking her voice deeply as she could.

“No…no…Jaune…” she whimpered

“I wish I could give better news.” He looked down.
