On the one hand, you should kill that capitalist in your head that tells you to make art only for the enjoyment of other people. On the other hand, it's totally fine to be disappointed that you spent hours or even days on something that only got 4 notes. You can feel both ways.

i DO believe that a good writer can make mischaracterization work. oh there's a character who doesn't normally cry? figure it out!! dissect the character. make the situation cryable for them. make that character cry ugly tears even if it goes against their very nature. YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK!!!

Journal Log 2: Yuugi - Ok so the heat was a lot easier to manage once we pulled our hair back a bit. All of this was worth it to see Yami's face at the tidepools! He'll never admit he has his cute moments but this was for sure one of them! Yami - It was just so tiny...

Prompt 2 from week one! Tide! Im kinda sad it got covered in the text but if you look close you can see Yuugi's reflection but not Yami's in the water. ALL of these have been such a fun exercise in painting backgrounds and I still have some issues with this one BUT this is better than any other beach attempt that wasn't actual watercolors lmao Anyways I'm obsessed with the idea of Yami just enamored by aquatic life ;w; I feel like he'd have his mind blown apart at an aquarium.

Bless the P5R models for moving in such expressive and dynamic ways to communicate small character nuances. This is one of my favorite demonstrations of it. The difference in the way Joker and Akechi react to sudden changes in their environment.

Joker's steady, almost nonchalant stance because in the metaverse he is the confident and reliable leader. He doesn't step back because his role is always on the front lines so he's used to taking the hits whereas the other Thieves can switch out or hang back.

Akechi's full-body flinch and immediate step backwards because he's used to fighting solo and therefore can't afford to get hit. Makes you wonder what dangers and violence he went through since he was 15 that could ingrain this degree of jumpiness in him. His fighting style is more frenzied and mobile so they make his movements more exaggerated.

Then they simultaneously get into battle stance, with Joker covering the right (since he's right handed) and Akechi covering the left (since he's left-handed). Nearly 360° defense. Perfectly complementing each other in battle.
