“Ha. Ha. Ha. Very cute,” she stated sarcastically as she hopped herself up onto the nearest stool. “I just might next time, if you’re lucky.” It seemed like she couldn’t go anywhere without hearing murmurs and whispers about the incident. She had grown tired of it and the thoughts of sadness that came along with it, not to mention that her empathic abilities seemed to be hyperactive, throwing all the griief and negative emotions her way, adding more to her own emotions. She knew that here, it would be a quiet place, where she could relax. “Long day?”
“you’ve no idea, kid.” he said with a slight shake of his head, and moved to sit next to her on an adjacent stool once he finished cleaning. sighing, he studied her face for a moment now that he was closer. they always fascinated him, ghosts. everything from their very existence to the hauntingly stunning way they looked baffled him ----- that lori managed to sustain her personality stuck in an eternal limbo amazed him most of all. but he was rather thankful for it. “what brings you here? I know it wasn’t just to see me.”
