Remembering this beautiful moment when Carlos insisted too many times that it was a coincidence to meet Jannik in a restaurant (apparently twice, which makes New York seem really small), here's Jannik's version, which, knowing him, could have been somewhat clearer, but... no. It ended up being worse 🙃🫶🏻

(it's in Italian, but basically the reporter mentioned that Jannik had apparently been seen with Carlos on two occasions at the same restaurant, and Jannik let out a nervous laugh before answering it was two nights, not two evenings; one this week, the other a week ago, and that "was a coincidence" (raising his hands as if to say "I am innocent, your honor. I swear I'm telling the truth, but I'm weak and I don't know how to lie").

They didn't travel 10 hours on a plane together to Australia with their teams actually, bc that was also a coincidence (?) wait that's probably why that time they preferred to say "we traveled together but we hardly spoke, we only slept" and "he had his bed and I had mine".

They have amazing respect for each other - both Carlos and Jannik. They are not friends off the court - OH, WAIT, they're not going to dinner with each other - they're very friendly, and you see them quite often sitting down next to each other in the locker room, chatting away..
