gain the whole world but lose your soul in the pursuit

I look up at the night sky and see the stars

as they fall in perfect alignment within their constellations

Reminding me of how the same Will which laid them in their unique places

is the same perfect Will that will guide me.

New year, new promises

A New resolve to change

While the newness excites me its frightening to think

That as things change, they tend to stay the same

What does this mean ? Especially to those vowing to make this year so different from last

Change without discipline will land you back in the same situations from the past.
