For more on the Fermi Paradox and why alien life hasn’t found us yet. (Infographic via futurism)
I’ve blogged about this paradox before, but I’ve never read all of these resolutions to it, nor have it seen it explained in such a simple infographic.
Loving these possible explanations of the Fermi Paradox. Personally I throw my hat into the “Too Far” ring. But I would also love if “Too Cool For School” or “Human Zoo” was true. So Star Trek.

Once the light goes on and you realise the food you so blithely eat actually causes massive, life-long, completely avoidable suffering to billions of animals, it’s not an easy epiphany to un-think. A supermarket never looks the same, butcher shops become very dark places. The perversity of using smiling anthropomorphized animals to advertise packages of their own body parts grows almost chilling.

There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question. - Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark
