* PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT* In case you have lived under a rock your entire life and have never seen the original "Beauty and the beast" It's a lovely, romantic cartoon about a young girl (presumably around 16) who gets kidnapped by a man who has had some sort of witchcraft spell cast upon him, which has literally turned him into a BEAST! He is no longer a human, but some kind of horned, buffalo animal who is very angry, abusive and mean. Anyways, he continues holding Bell captive. meanwhile the furniture, dishes etc turn into talking, living creatures. She stays there until eventually she gets what can only be described as stockholm syndrome and falls in love with this "beast" therefore turning the BEAST back to his human form and they live happily ever after.. Moral of the story for boys and girls alike: if someone doesn't like you, kidnap them, mentally abuse them to the point of insanity, do NOT let them leave under any circumstances, and eventually they'll have no choice but to fall in love with you. (even if you are a horned, hairy buffalo creature) Just be sure above all else that you don't do such a thing with someone of the same sex, because that would be what people call "gay" and no one wants that right? YOU'RE WELCOME 😊

I want to tell you a thing about Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood is the reason a lot of people are alive. They offer medical services – anything from annual check ups to “i have a bladder infection” to “I need a prescription for antidepressants” – to people, and most of them have a sliding scale payment system that allows them to offer services to low-income people and people without insurance. 

That is why they receive federal funding at all – so that poor people who are sick can see a doctor. So that poor people who aren’t sick can receive preventative medical services. That is why they are subsidized by the federal government. Part of the government’s money goes to make up the difference between what poor people can pay for their medical treatment and what that treatment actually costs Planned Parenthood.

Regardless of where you stand on issues of abortion, you should know that they are already prevented from using federal subsidies to fund abortion services. So when conservatives talk about defunding Planned Parenthood and try to hide behind the excuse of “well I don’t want my tax money paying for abortions,” they are full of absolute shit. They are just trying to take away one of the few sources poor people have to stay healthy and treat their illnesses, and it’s not like they’re contributing to our GoFundMe’s when we end up in the emergency room because we couldn’t afford to receive preventative treatment. Fuck that shit.

Phone calls from constituents blocked the gutting of the congressional ethics office. Phone calls from constituents can block this, too. (You are still a constituent if you are represented by someone, whether you can vote yet or not; this is something teens can do.)

People in the US: get on your phone on Friday. Call your rep, regardless of party. If your rep is a Republican, especially call them. The call will take less than 5 minutes, unless the office is overwhelmed, in which case, stay on the line. Most offices only count you if you speak to someone.
