Motorsports is a manâs world.. or is it?
When we hear the word âmotorsports,â the things that come to our mind are cars, motorcycles, racing, speed, extreme.. What else? Scary? Dangerous? Well, my own definition is FUN.
Even before I was born, my dad is already into motorsports (and I secretly call him âking of motorsportsâ simply because he tried everything and is exceptional in all aspect!).
And so, there is this daughter of him who is quite interested and curious in cars and racing and stuff.. THAT. WAS. ME.
Last year, he taught me basic exhibition in drifting to see if I really have a potential. (Well, continue reading to see what happens next đ)
Couple of months passed by, Diamond Motors, distributor of Mitsubishi Motors, called my dad up and asked to put up a drift show.. WITH HIS DAUGHTER (omg thatâs me).
My dad trained me once again for the first international competition in drifting here in the Philippines. With Godâs blessing, my dad and I was sponsored by Pirelli Tires for the event. (IMAGINE đ)
I didnât get any award but it is very rewarding to see my friends and family supporting me all the way and continuously believing in me. From there, I had this realization that I was born for this. This is me. This is real. đ
After that, I joined another international competition when I bagged first place in the amateur division. Not bad, is it? đ
Then, here comes one of the biggest international event in the Philippines, the 21st International Hot Air Balloon. Everybody seems to love the tandem of father-daughter so they invited us over to put up a drift show. And phewww! I didnât expect I will be standing in front of thousands of people cheering for us, begging to get a ride!
It didnât stop there. It was just the beginning.
One day, my dad received an invitational e-mail asking us to join a competition.. in TV! It is the first build-and-race TV show in the Philippines, the Garahista.
This is one of the unforgettable experience in my life. I literally put my hands in the engine, stayed up all night with the team and the mechanics to build our car. I was also my first time to compete in Slalom (another motorsports).
Overall, my team got the 2nd runner up (because we didnât finish the raceâthe car was too old..so he gave up) đđ
Then, I got crazy, I started searching for competitionsâwhether it is drifting, slalom or autocross, etc.
I join competitions even without my dad. Until now, I am still thirsty and craving for more.
Itâs not about how famous I could be, how much trophy I get, how many certificate I receive.. Itâs about fulfilling the desire of the heart and just letting myself be driven by my passion. I doubt myself a lot, get scared every time, but still pushing.
Itâs a manâs world, but I am here. I am here to give a message. A message saying âwe girls, can, too.â
All this is to give glory to God. The only one I can call to whenever Iâm alone inside the car while racing.

DRIFTING HAS FINALLY ENTERED THE REALM OF THE FIA
As a motoring discipline, drifting was first popularized in 1970s in Japan, and is held worldwide today and is judged according to the speed, angle, showmanship and line taken through corners.
For over 40 years, drifting has finally entered the realm of the Federation International Dew LâAutomobile (FIA). FIA is known as the governing body for almost all the auto racing events which promotes road safety around the world.
There were rumors that the FIA will sanction drifting events in 2017. On July 2017, they have officially announced it at the 5th FIA Sport Conference in Geneva. The inaugural intercontinental Drifting Cup has taken place in Japan.
It will be interesting to see how the FIA will work with drifting. There are fans right now who are praising the idea and looking forward to finally seeing equality between cars, but others are worried and are comparing it with the current state of  Formula One. Many are also wondering who will be representing their series for this world event.
The best news is that it comes with the blessing of FIA president, Jean Tody, who said, âwith the creation of the FIA intercontinental Drifting Cup, we are building the framework for a standard format which will help the sport continue to grow from grass roots level to more professional competitions globally. We are setting the standard for what will be a hugely successful form of motor sport.â
The idea of an FIA-backed drifting series is not a new one and has probably been on the horizon since the inception of sanctioned, competition drifting in 2009 and the D1GP. While this will be a single event, you can expect that the rulebook that the FIA creates will be adopted by several series as this talk has already begun last year at the FIA Drift Working Group meeting.
The FIA is not trying to take over the sport and change everything that we know and love about it. They
Would you go back to watch?
Back to the Future mixes science fiction with romantic comedy. Brimming with lighthearted energy, the movie begins in the present with a teen-ager named Marty who thrown back in the â50s to avoid being shot by terrorists. He travels back via a Do Lorean car time machine invented by his friend and mentor Emmett âDocâ Brown, a lovable, wide-eyed, wild-haired stork of a mad scientist. Marty encounters young versions of his parents and must make sure that they fall in love or heâll cease to exist. In the finale, he has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown.Â
Some of the many running gags in âBack to the Futureâ is the way how the town has changed in 30 years like when shopping mall was a farmerâs field, when people in â50s thinks that the Do Lorean car with its gull-wing doors is a flying saucer and wanders into town while still wearing his 1985 clothing jacket and townsfolk ask him  why heâs still wearing life preserver.
Back Future is an entertaining time-travel movie with a clever plot and many hilarious moments. Although this has been produces almost 30 years ago, this would still be one of the most enjoyable and iconic films of the â80s. The film remains light and breezy and both romance and science defer to the film. Martyâs friendship with Doc is also at heart of the film.
I have always wanted to watch this movie and because of Netflix, I finally did! Thanks for this review btw. Makes me want to watch it again. Xoxo!
12 reasons why you should watch Riverdale: A Twisted Drama Youâll Love, Even If Youâve Never Read âArchieâ Comic
As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom(Trevor Stines). Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) is still the all-American teen, but the summerâs events made him realize that he wants to pursue a career in music â not follow in his dad Fredâs (Luke Perry) footsteps â despite his forbidden relationship with Riverdaleâs young music teacher, Ms. Grundy(Jennifer Gibson). With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Archie must look for a new music mentor and turns to Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) but she is focused solely on her band, Josie and the Pussycats. Weighing heavily on his mind is also his fractured friendship with budding writer Jughead Jones(Cole Sprouse). Meanwhile, girl-next-door Betty Cooper (LiliReinhart) is anxious to see her crush Archie after being away all summer, but sheâs not quite ready to reveal her true feelings to him. When a new student, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), arrives in town from New York, thereâs an undeniable spark between her and Archie, but Veronica doesnât want to risk her new friendship with Betty. And then thereâs Cheryl Blossom(Madelaine Petsch), Riverdaleâs Queen Bee, who is happy to stir up trouble amongst the others even though sheâs keeping a few secrets of her own.
Everyone wants to know who killed Jason Blossom â but until we find out, here are reasons why you should be watching Riverdale on Netflix.
1.) It's based on the classic Archie comics.
2.) It has one of the most iconic love triangles. It wouldn't be an Archie show without the love triangle between Archie, Betty, and Veronica.
3.) They tackle important issues.
4.) They aren't afraid to talk about race issues.
5.) The female friendships are on point: All of the women in Riverdale are strong and outspoken
6.) The romance.
7.) There are some major twincest vibes.
8.) Jughead and Archie are male friendship goals: Even though their relationship is damaged, they arenât afraid to talk about their feelings â which offers men who may be afraid of opening up to each other the green light to discuss their emotions more.
9.) The music: As if Archieâs playing flawless guitar playing and singing wasnât enough, Josie and the Pussycats are bursting with talent and provide a fresh new sound on a regular basis. And when Archie starts helping them out with their songwritingâŠitâs just too much to handle.
10.) The parents are full of drama.
11.) The location: Riverdale is filmed in Vancouver, a city in British Columbia, Canada.
12.) The murder.
This series is definitely a must-watch! It will surely make you think and draw theories to uncover secrets revolving around the town. The story touches all the reality in life that will make you relate yourself into it!
