“Now that I can understand. Siblings will never let you live down anything if they can help it,” he comments. With the turning point of the conversation, Ashton can absolutely feel his cheeks starting to heat up more than they already had, leaving him looking flushed and embarrassed. “It’s sorta complicated. It wasn’t anything... official. Hayd has been really conflicted and I was trying to help him out.” He’s never been one for lying (even if it isn’t a complete lie in the first place), but hopes anyway that the waver in his voice doesn’t give him away. “Might have realized that maybe I need to think over some feelings I didn’t know I had. Which is awkward as fuck.”
