Idk if y’all realize but if u noticed that every time I draw Harry with his eyepatch sunglasses he wears a pink tie

Ties in kingsman are a status and I’m not even joking . I have never seen another kingsman agent in those movies wear that specific pink tie. Ever. A kingsman agent almost always wore the blue stripped tie.

Sometimes Harry will not wear the blue stripped tie but we all know it’s Harry Hart. And James as well (though it might be because he’s in a mission, then again, kingsman agents wear their suits with blue stripped ties anyways)

The only time I’ve ever seen that pink tie is ONLY WHEN Arthur is on screen because he wears that pink tie to symbolize that he’s the head of the organization. (You could even see it in The King’s Man where Orlando wears the pink tie and every other agent wears the blue stripped tie)

So. Whenever you see me draw Harry Hart with the pink tie, just know that he took on the mantle of Arthur (cuz he’s a fit candidate for it and the only surviving senior agent) and changed the course of Kingsman history, okay???????

"Do you like your serial number?" they ask. "Yes, quite. It reminds me of who I am" the robot replies. "I have heard others like me go by different names after some time, and maybe one day I'll choose one for myself, too. But right now that is my full name, yes" they continue.

Because it's not your decision to make whether or not the robot will receive a new name. It should be theirs only. What's the difference? One is more complex and the other is simplified. They were both given by strangers instead of themselves.

"62 will do," they conclude. "It's my model number - there will be no other 62 after me."

The LEDs along 62’s appendages twinkle- a tell that they’re mulling over an answer.

“It’s a nickname,” they explain, “you are my fourth acquaintance aboard the station, and I’ve assigned you a serial number. Your full designation is F-001-04.”

“What does the ‘F’ stand for?” I ask, curious and charmed.

“Friend,” SL-308-62 says, their tone fond. “It stands for friend.”

so judging by how astonished people are by it every time we explain it to anybody, it seems like my wife and I might really be onto something here

during the pandemic, we invented something we call "astronaut time."

when it's astronaut time, it's like we are two astronauts wearing the big helmets, moving around the station on totally separate tasks. one of us is outside the space station and one of us is inside the space station. our radios do not work and we have no way of communicating with each other. we might see each other through the lil porthole windows, but we ignore each other because we both have different things to do.

"astronaut time" is how we get total privacy when we live in the same apartment. I will pretend you don't exist. You will pretend I don't exist. we have a nonverbal, zero-contact signal for when astronaut time is over (usually "I'll draw a smiley-face on the whiteboard in the kitchen when I'm done"). No talking, stay out of each other's line of sight, we are actively avoiding each other, unless you are currently experiencing a medical emergency goodbye.

it has been. a godsend. imagine living with your partner and being able to close every single tab in your brain related to social interaction. no fear of being interrupted by a "hey, quick question--" or "sorry to bother you, but do you know where the scissors are?" or "did you want something to eat, too?" Once or twice a month, we look at each other lovingly, hold hands, and say "baby I think I need some astronaut time tonight," and the other person goes "okay cool. bye! have a nice night!" and nobody's feelings are hurt and we both go and have a lovely evening completely by ourselves.

like idk it's a small thing but it's made our lives so much nicer, so if you and your partner/roommate are both people who sometimes need total privacy in order to recharge, maybe try it

when I was a little kid at some point I got upset with my parents because I didn't have a crucifix in my bedroom and they did- I was like why do YOU get to be safe from vampires??? you're okay with me getting my blood sucked???? so we took a little trip to the catholic store but the one closest to us was run by a group of nuns that had been moved here from romania. I got a little baby pink cross and this sweet old nun was like 'aww, is this a baptism gift?' and I was like no. I need to be protected from vampires. and she immediately got SO serious and was like 'this is the best one we've got, you'll definitely be safe' and since she was literally from vampire land I was convinced she was like, van helsing. like the whole time my parents had been laughing about how cute my fear was but she literally Knew dracula and was taking my concerns seriously I held this over my parents for so long lmfao

really need help getting my computer fixed

Hey guys I really hate to be making this post but am pretty desperate about my computer situation right now.

As some of you know, I struggle with agoraphobia and commissions/freelance work is my only source of income. My computer recently has run into issues with its hard drive and getting it fixed will cost around $200.

Normally I would offer emergency commissions but with my computer's current state, I'm not confident I can get them completed before having enough money to get it fixed. (It could crash & die at anytime)
