Der letzte Tag Morgen früh gegen 7 startet unser Flieger nach Deutschland. Abflug von Los Angeles. Den letzten Tag haben wir entspannt in Hollywood und Umgebung verbracht und im Kino Maleficent angesehen. Definitiv zu empfehlen. Ansonsten heißt es jetzt früh uns Bett. Auf bald!

Am Ufer vom Mono Lake befanden sich zigtausende Salzfliegen, die jedes Mal davon flogen, wenn man sich denen näherte. Hier eine kleine Demo mit Jesus.

Nach all den vielen Burgern und Meeresfrüchten vermissten wir gutes italienisches Essen. Also ging es in Las Vegas zu Olive Garden 😊 wie immer war das Essen sehr reichlich und sehr gut. Natürlich haben wir den traditionellen Haussalat als Vorspeise bestellt, der einen "unlimited Refill" hat ☺️ Mann waren wir danach satt!

Death Valley Bei fast 40 Grad sind wir mitten in die Wüste von Death Valley Gefahren. Da wir gegen 13 Uhr den Devils Golfcourse besucht haben, war die Hitze so unerträglich, das sogar Lilis Flipflops den anfingen am Boden zu kleben. Die Salzkruste hat die Hitze vom Boden direkt reflektiert. Dennoch hat es sich gelohnt. In Badwater gab es sogar einen kleinen Teich. Dort können allerdings auf Grund der Hohen salzkoszentration nur ein paar Kleinstlebewesen überleben. Eine kleine Enttäuschung gab es trotzdem. Der hoch angepriesene Ghosttown In Death Valley war nur eine Riesen Ruine. Kein leer stehender Saloon oder ähnliches. Stattdessen ein paar Fundamentreste und ein Camper, warum auch immer man dort campen möchte. Und es war heiß heiß heiß!!! 😉

Vegas Baby Unser Aufenthalt in Vegas war zwar kurz aber sehr schön. Vom Mega Stau bis zum überteuerten Motel war alles dabei, allerdings hat der Pool die ganze Sache etwas entschärft 😉 Nachdem wir uns abgekühlt hatten, sind wir dann direkt auf den Strip Gefahren und haben im Bellagio ein wenig gezockt. ( Der ein Oder andere auch ein bisschen länger 😁 ) Danach ging es dann wieder ab ins Motel.

Heute wurde bei unserem Auto die Heckscheibe eingeschlagen während wir auf Alcatraz waren. Lilis Koffer wurde 2 Autos weiter gefunden. Meiner (Robert) ist weg. Auf den Videos der Überwachungkamera ist ein Typ zu sehen der mit meinem Koffer einfach hinausspaziert als wäre es seiner. 
Ende vom Lied ist, dass ich klamottentechnisch jetzt ziemlich blöd dastehe und erst mal einkaufen muss….

Yosemite national park

At 7:30 am we started our trip to the Yosemite national park. It took us 4 hours to get there.

Summing up the day, it was wonderful and a lot of nice pictures have been taken. There aren’t enough words to express the beauty of the nature that we have experienced this day. Therefore please see the pictures and see a part of the beauty yourself. :))

San Francisco & Jiajia’s birthday

Our day started with singing the following to Jiajia:

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Haaapppy birthday dear Jiajiaaaaaa. Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuu!"

Yes, Jiajia turned 26 and we decided to have a very nice real seafood dinner in the evening.

In the morning we bought the 1 day’s visitor pass so that we were able to take all muni busses from San Francisco in order to explore the city. As Jesus desperately wanted to see the soccer game (Spain vs chile), we went to see the Golden Gate Bridge first.

After the Golden Gate Bridge , we split. Jesus went to the bar to see the game and the rest of us went to bakers beach and the Golden Gate Bridge park. We had a long stroll and we saw a lot of beautiful things.

Around late afternoon we met up With Jesus again and had some nice Japanese ramen for lunch. After that we took the cable car to Lombard street to see the curvy street.

Taking the cable car back we went to the mall to window shop again. Jiajia found a real nice seafood restaurant. We had the most delicious seafood till far as you can see from the pics posted. :))

Going back to the hotel we went to sleep as we had to wake up real early as we are going to head to Yosemite national park on the next day.

Ps: Spain lost against Chile 0:2 - Jesus is doing ok…

San Bruno & San Francisco

The whole car incident slowed us quite down in the planning. It seems that it has paralyzed us. After getting up, we headed to the mall so that Robert could get himself clothes and toiletries. As for the test of us we bought some clothes and we did some window shopping.

We dismissed our plans to head to Monterrey instead we went back to San Francisco to check in our hotel.

At the arrival to our hotel we had to wash Roberts new clothes so that he had something to wear. Jiajia and I we headed to a launderette and washed all is our clothes.

By then it was already six pm. So we headed to downtown and went for burger in Hard Rock Cafe. At pier 39 we enjoyed the sunset with a beautiful scenery of Alcatraz. We even saw sea lions.

Taking the metro back to the hotel we decided on a plan for the following day to see whole San Francisco.

San Francisco - Alcatraz

After sitting the whole day in the car we were glad that we only had a short trip to San Francisco downtown to visit Alcatraz. The famous jail on a island.

Before going to Alcatraz we wanted to see the soccer game Germany against Portugal. We were all happy that Germany won. After the game we headed to the boat which would bring us to Alcatraz. Although it was sunny in Sam Francisco it was very windy, thus very cold.

Alcatraz was great. We received an audio guide tour and everything was interesting. That what strikes me the most was that it was very cold. I could not imagine how the prisoners would have felt.

After Alcatraz we wanted to go to Monterrey and spend the night over there. Unfortunately someone broke on our car and stole Robert’s suitcase. We were quite lucky as the other stuff were in the car. The whole issue stole quite a lot of our time (waiting for police, filing report, go to the airport to get the car switched). In the end we spent our night in San Bruno and had nice dinner at chilli’s.

I still cannot believe such thing could happen to us. However we were told that such things happens daily in San Francisco at the fishermen dwarf. So guys please be careful for those who plan to visit SF in the future!

Yosemite Nationalpark In atemberaubender Höhe haben wir uns an die Felskante gesetzt. Das war allerdings nicht ansatzweise so aufregend wir dort Hochseilakrobat der mal eben über den Canyon spaziert/balanciert ist. Das Wetter war einfach perfekt. Am Ende des Tages sind wir in Gloverfield eingecheckt. Hier haben wir ein nettes kleines Häuschen (eig. für 6 Personen) ganz für uns 😊

Brückentag Der gestrige Tag war ganz der Golden Gate Bridge gewidmet. Nach einem ausgiebigen Spaziergang über die Brücke und an den umliegenden Stränden und Parks entlang. Am Ende des Tages feierten wir noch Jia Jias Geburtstag mit einem riesigen Seafood Dinner.
