Troy & Kelsi
high school musical meme: [2/4] pairings » troy bolton & kelsi nielsen
You’re the playmaker here, Kelsi.
Underneath the moon, underneath the stars, here’s a little heart for you.
the playmakers.
*le sigh* the ‘you’re the playmaker here Kelsi’ scene gets me every damn time. Troy/Kelsi was and forever will be my OTP of HSM. You can’t do anything to tell me otherwise.

Kelsi & Troy in the graphic novel Lasting Impressions
@asinglevoice Where can I find this graphic novel?
It’s available for purchase on Amazon.com! I don’t know if it’s worth the money, though. It’s very Troy/Gabriella focused, and Troy and Kelsi don’t have any interactions outside of the images featured here. :(
it’s been 13 years and i still don’t know what exactly troy and kelsi were arguing about during the sharpay version of you are the music in me and it bothers me so much
This is an excellent question.
After rewatching the scene here, I think Troy may have been asking for Kelsi to either slow down or stop the music altogether. His hand gesture before Sharpay drags him away from the piano indicates this. Kelsi, being too caught up in a complicated improvisation, acknowledges his discontent but continues playing.
I’m pretty sure that Troy was freaked out and overwhelmed by every aspect of Sharpay’s idea of a “performance”, and went over to Kelsi, the only sane person in sight, looking for answers and someone who would actually listen to and understand his feelings.
As they sit by the piano together, and she plays the opening notes to I Just Wanna Be With You, he quietly asks her if she thinks he’s crazy for going to Stanford.
“No,” she answers honestly, and Troy’s eyes light up at her answer, “but I would be lying if I said it was a good idea, Troy.”
inspired by this lovely text by gabriellabolton which i did not justice to with this lame gifset
