Valiant chirped happily a few times before he turned towards Shauna. Only a few moments had passed between their arrival at the entrance to Arceus' realm and the introduction of ROCK. Even so, this was where it had to end for Shauna. He wasn't too keen on her getting much closer.
"Goodbye!" He shooed her, though his voice was cheerful, his body language was more on edge. He looked uncomfortable with her being near the realm.
She recalled him being very happy to let her stay when they first met. What had changed?
What could be the matter?
That said, now that she was looking at him... she didn't recall that halo being there before now.

She realized in hindsight he may have been very eager to get home. Given his current state, and what happened at the event in the first place...
Now she felt guilty for prolonging this. She amended her previous response.

At first, he just watched as Shauna wrote down the various messages, but as she showed each one by one, he made no effort to read them.
He really didn't have time for this.
He quietly pleaded, but she seemed too caught up to hear him. This wasn't good. This REALLY wasn't good. The memory of his god's interest in Shauna during the event was lurking in the back of his mind.
He knew that it likely wanted to meet her now that she was here. But... he really wasn't ready to have a repeat of his previous friend's death. It still hurt so much.
He tried again, making sure to keep his voice calm despite the panic he was beginning to feel. "Please... you need to-"
It was too late, however...
It was already here.
It had noticed her.
In a final panicked effort to get her away from Temperance, he slammed his paws onto the ground. The little magic he had recovered flared up, creating a portal underneath her.
"NOW."
And just like that...
She was gone.
→ Shauna has returned to her world.
At least she was safe now, that's all that really mattered to him.

Not long after he began, Valiant paused from his explanation. His gaze was drawn to something swaying behind Shauna.
"Oh, you're back." He chirped, just as he did, the mysterious Pokemon jumped from behind the wall, rushing towards Shauna.
Oh no! A wild... eevee? has appeared!
It used Headbutt!
It's not very effective.
False alarm. It seems like it was just a Roggenrola keen on getting Shauna's attention. Determined, it continued to bonk her as Valiant stared on. "I think it likes you!" He said, happily.
Though the tiny Pokemon's intentions looked more murderous than friendly. Not that he could tell the difference.
First, she was fairly bewildered. Usually encounters with feral Pokemon were a lot more dangerous; or in her case, they put up more of a fight.
Second, the language Valiant spoke in when addressing ROCK was perplexing. She never heard anything like it before. Was it some form of Unown? Seems that was something else she could ask her parents about.
At this point, having a tiny rock repeatedly bonk her head against her leg in a very real attempt to attack her was both immensely awkward and actually started to make it feel a little sore, so she simply moved her leg. Took a step or so back and knelt to look at ROCK.
Come to think of it, was it her body, and not a head? She didn't meet very many Rock-type Pokemon, and it showed.

Shauna was very quick to write the above and shake her head, with a look of shock.

Shauna: [Like Valiant says, I'm a friend. But I'd like to be your friend, too! It's nice to meet you, Rock.]
Valiant seemed quite content with Shauna's answer... Well, until the realization that ROCK likely couldn't understand it set in. After a moment of struggling to read the text out loud for her, he finally finished. ROCK thankfully looked much calmer now.
Valiant, however, looked nervous. His gaze was drifting over to the realm entrance.

Shauna curiously looked around as they walked through the ruins. Everywhere she looked, there was destruction. The floor was littered with strange gems, and every building in the area had been reduced to rubble. It almost looked familiar to her.
Valiant chirped up, unsure what had caught her attention.
She looked over, and thought over her response for some moments. She proceeded to set Valiant down in front of her, and began to write.

Shauna: [It makes me wonder where we really are. If this is still the Isle, or somewhere else entirely.]
"Similar... The isle?" he asked, confused. They didn't go to the wrong place, right? Just to check, he glanced around.
No...
This was definitely his home.
It still looked the same as when he left it. "I am unsure what you mean. This is where I live, the Normal Gate."
"I do not believe we're near this Isle thing. If you live there, then your home has life, right? Everything here is mostly dead..."
"I made sure of that."
Shauna did a double-take; she glanced again at the ruins, then back at Valiant, then back towards the ruins once more.
Such a thing was out of her realm of possibility. Granted, she in no way doubted his power; he was a Victini. A Victini famously brought low the giant in her world, even.
But what would be the motive of him destroying this place? What was the purpose?
With the impression he gave her so far, he was simply too passive to even think of doing something like this.
Thus, it was quite easy for her to shake it off.
Somewhat.

Maybe it was those lands rumored to be beyond the Lost Sea. But that couldn't be; it felt too different to be her world.
Shauna: [I could have sworn I met you in a void. Unless, these ruins are what's beyond the void?]
He repeated himself, though this time his voice lacked its previous emotion. Perhaps his tone was off again; he wasn't sure why she hadn't understood that. "This is where I live. My home. The Normal Gate. Do you not have Hoopa gates in your home?" He asked before pointing off into the distance.

Shauna: [It makes me wonder where we really are. If this is still the Isle, or somewhere else entirely.]
Noticing everyone else leaving, Shauna took that as a sign to finally go as well. Thankfully, compared to before, she felt a lot calmer. She paused to write a note down before she showed it to Valiant.
Valiant seemed nervous when he read the word 'goodbye'. Unfortunately, He was still stuck in his Victini form, and leaving by himself would surely be a challenge. Yes, his magic had partly recovered, but not nearly enough to change back to his Zoroark form.
He hated being in such a small and vulnerable form. As he stared off, he finally took in a shaky breath before he spoke.
"I suppose it is..." It didn't take him long to accept his fate. Shauna, however, seemed to notice his hesitation.
She quickly wrote something down before holding it up.
Valiant stayed silent, but after a moment of thought on Shauna's side, an idea came to her. She felt quite sad about it being over already. She had enjoyed her time with Valiant, so she didn't want to say goodbye just yet.
Along with that, she was worried about his safety, especially with his initial reaction to this form. Given the fact she was also the one who brought him here, wouldn't it be bad manners to not make sure he made it home safe?
Finally, he spoke up.
As grim as it was, it was true. Many people wished to kill him, something would be bound to happen, knowing his luck.
She wrote down another set of notes.
[If anything does happen, I can handle it. Besides, I want to do something to make up for this.]
[It doesn't have to be goodbye. Not yet. Just until you get home. Please?]
Valiant paused after reading the notes, he was taking a moment to think. Though it was hard to tell with his blank expression, he appreciated the gesture.
She really did remind him of Mia. In his eyes, they might as well have been the same person.
He gave a small, nervous smile as his ear flattened.
It was about time Piko tried to do some cards. Figured they would at least get one game off. Though Piko was not amazing at cards, she could least do a decent poker or black jack hand. Naturally, the braixen caught her eye. "Say, would you be down for a game of cards? I mainly know black jack, or poker, would either be okay?"

Shauna: [There's something really, really important I need to deliver! Mother would get mad if I take any longer to deliver it.]

She gave a light gasp at Capital's words, nodding as her tail softly wagged. She could barely keep down her excitement enough to calmly, gently cradle the smaller Cleffa in her arms.
She smiled at the little one, embracing it just a little bit more, as if it were her own child.
There was a strange serenity to it all, the way she interacted with the youngling compared to the sheer chaos that was her aura.
It really was amazing she held it together for this long.
Coilailpe slowly made her way further inland. She was lost in thought and wasn't paying attention to her surrounding enough to notice she was being followed.
Blacephalon...I'm half blacephalon...half alien...why...why did they leave me...?
As Coilailpe continued her trek a figure slowly inches closer to her, getting ready to strike.
Maybe I should go and find Ms. Atena. She might kn-
As if something clicked in her brain the riolu lunged forward, narrowly missing the claws that swiped at her.
??: Hm. It seems like I missed, so the other hybrid has been training you after all.
Coilailpe's heart dropped as she turned around. Once she fully turned she was faced with a rather tall pheromosa.
Coil: W-Who are you?
??: That doesn't matter to you child. What does matter is you coming with me.
Coil: No! I don't know you! Where are you gonna take me?!
The ultra beast slowly makes their way towards Coilailpe.
??: Children should learn when to shut up and listen, especially hybrid freaks like you.
Coil: I-I'm not a freak...
The pheromosa was about arm's length from the stunned riolu when...
COILAILPE!
Atena suddenly appeared, her hand glowing with psychic energy once she noticed what was going on.
Get. Away. From. Her. Now!
??: Tsk. And why would I? You think you can take me alone?
??: No, but maybe we can!
Lee runs over with Pubby and Sundrop, bringing a small group of mons with them. This made the ultra beast visibly annoyed.
??: if it had been the oversized worm and the ridiculous fox I would have laughed at you. However, I can't possibly understand how you managed to ally yourself with a shaymin such as this and moreover a god. What's even more confusing is this pitiful form they take...
After a sigh, the pheromosa turns and walks away past Coilailpe, who flinches as they do.
You win this time but next time you won't be so lucky.
After confirming the pheromosa was no longer in the area, Atena ran over and hugged Coilailpe.
Atena: It's ok now. I'm here Coilailpe.
Coil: M-Ms. Atena...we need to talk...
The gang is available for regular asks and will remain on the island for a while.
She gasped the above, rushing over immediately. She never looked more starstruck to meet him. Her tail wagged and glowed to an extent that it created a light that rivaled Shaymes' halo.
[You're real! You're a real Shaymin! Mother would be so happy to know I met one! She would always talk about how they're all gone and that we can't rely on them for what's coming, and now I know they're really real! You're so pretty, too!]
Shaymes smiled softly at Shauna, somewhat in awe of the raw power on display as Shauna glowed almost as brightly as he did. Still, her words held heavy connotations. A world where Shaymin were in hiding did not bode well. But he could not immediately assume the worst. Shaymes knew it was always possible there was a reason for their lack of presence that did not immediately equate to ecological disaster.
"The world I come from is full of Shaymin! Your mother would have the time of her life visiting my homeland. You two should come visit sometime."
[ @ask-a-silvy ] Shauna @Choro: She poked at the Purrloin to get their attention, only to pass her note over anyway regardless. [You and that Torracat don't seem to get along at all. May I ask why? Do you want me to help?]
Choro: Does NO other Pokemon here know to keep their snout out of other Pokemons business?? There goes a Mightyena crazy in the pan!! Unbelievable!
Choro: Yes, we don't get along but that's for us to settle it. IF! I feel like it!
Choro: And you know what? I'm gonna do just that! Where is that twerp?
Choro gets up from the hammock and stomps her way through the crowd, assuming to find Hoku where she last saw them. Her mood seems to improve a bit with the walking around until she sees a familiar figure by the counter.
She should have saw this coming in hindsight; though it did little to perturb her. She was somewhat used to it regarding prior experiences in trying to speak her thoughts.
That said, she came up with a better way to convey what she actually meant.
With a light laugh, she gently rested the gracidea on top of Valiant's head; where his crown normally would have been. She moved away some and began writing once more.

Valiant froze as soon as the flower was placed on his head, he certainly wasn't expecting to be given a gift. The item looked valuable too, why would she give it to him?
After some thought, and contemplating his own existence and self-worth he finally reached up to take the flower off his head. "Thank you..." He said while gently petting one of its petals.
It was so beautiful, he hadn't been given anything like this in a long time. He almost wanted to smile, but he resisted and instead looked to Shauna for further guidance. She was wearing the other one, did that mean he had to as well?
Carefully he put the flower in a similar place to her.
"You're supposed to wear it right...?" He asked a tad confused.
Valiant instantly let out a squeak of surprise when he felt his paws leave the sand, he still wasn't used to being picked up. But he calmed quickly when he realized she was only holding him.
Huh... Well at least she seemed happy.
→ Shauna and Valiant will be leaving the event soon.
