Okay. This isn't going to be easy for me to say, so bear with me please.
I'm shutting this blog down. I'm currently living an incredibly busy life and I can't keep up with some of my hobbies anymore. This is one of the hobbies that is getting cut.
I'm sorry. And I mean that. I know many of you enjoy this blog and don't want to see it go. I enjoyed it too in its glory days. But I can't let it get in the way of school and work right now. I also just really don't like my art style and I've decided that drawing isn't for me.
I'm not going to delete this blog. There's many memories here and I don't want them to just fade away forever. However, I will be changing the URL in case someone else wants to start an ask blog for Amy. The URL change will take place on July 31st. The new URL, for those who want to look back on my work, will be ask-amy-rose-deactive.
Thank you for all of your support. The past year and a few months on this blog has been fun. If you'd like to keep in contact with me, my personal blog is here and I'll try to check Skype when I can.
What happened to you? I thought you said you'd be back!!!
((Yeah, sorry about that. I’m doing a summer job and I’ve been getting A TON of hours, so I’ve been kinda busy. I also recently got a promotion, which means I’ll probably be getting EVEN MORE hours. When I get home, I’m extremely tired/lazy, and I simply don’t have the motivation or energy to do anything productive (example: this blog).
I do enjoy doing this blog. I’m not deliberately abandoning it or anything. I just really need money right now. So this kind of stuff gets pushed to the side. I really don’t want to live with my parents forever, you know?
Anyways, I’m really sorry I haven’t updated. Hopefully I’ll find some time sooner or later.))
Amy: Well I guess this dress works! And yay! Sonic is gonna be here for 10 answers!
Sonic: Why do I have to be included? This ain't even my blog! And I hate wearing clothes! *dramatic sigh*
((OOC: Yeeeeeah this magic anon is probably gonna be around for a while. Today is the last day of my spring break so I don't know when I'll have time for answering questions here. Plus, the extra details will probably take longer to draw, although this one didn't take very long. I'm planning to do some of the different outfits and drawing styles Zelda and Link are seen in, so I don't get bored of drawing the same ones. These outfits and the style in particular are from Spirit Tracks. It seemed easiest, so I started with it.))
Thanks for following me everyone! You're all great!
((I'm a few days late on this (I think the actual one year day was on the 13th) but thank you all regardless! Whether you've been here from the beginning (and witnessed my horrible art) or you just followed today, thank you for following! Here's to another year! <3))
((I may not be around for a week or two because I just got a new tablet and I'm still getting used to it. This is the last drawing I'll probably do on my old tablet.))
((Ican'tdrawcarsI'msorry. Happy New Year Everyone! I start school again on Monday, so updates may be a bit slow around here. I hope you all enjoyed your Holidays and such!))
((Oh and make sure you go follow the askallstars ask blog!))
All of us spend Christmas together usually at my house or Tail's workshop. This year it's at my house! More people are coming later, these are just the early birds! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
(To 1st anon) Why did you say that's a stupid question? That's actually a good one! I think it's interesting to see everyone's different traditions!
((Happy Holidays to all who celebrate them! I hope you all are having a wonderful day, even if you don't celebrate any holidays this time of the year!))
((I'm going to be posting small drabbles with some of the answers I get, depending on if the question is inspiring and if I have time to do it. This is the first of those posts. This drabble sorta contains the sonamy pairing, so if you don't like then don't read! Almost all of it it will be under a read more so it doesn't clutter up people's dashboards because it's rather long.))
Mistletoe
It had become a tradition every year for Amy to wait under the mistletoe on Christmas Eve. Each year brought feelings of disappointment, but she swore to never give up.
She made it clear to everyone that associated with him that she would be waiting. He himself, especially. She had hanged the mistletoe in her kitchen this year, since she had to do some last minute Christmas baking that would take most of the day. But the baking had ceased, and now she sat in a white painted chair that matched the table. She had fastened the mistletoe above her seat by hanging it from the ceiling, hoping that he would remember this year.
It had grown late; she was slowly nodding off. Her head leans forward and slightly to her right with her eyes closed delicately. Every thirty seconds or so, she jerks herself awake with a start, but then slowly nods off again. Soon, the seconds turn into minutes. Before long, she lost in her dreams, not noticing the faint sound of the front door opening and steps approaching cautiously.
The steps grow closer and closer, but she still doesn’t hear them. She had become quite tired from working on the Christmas sweets all day. The steps pause at the kitchen doorway. The paused figure chuckles quietly at the sight in front of him. It was certainly admirable to see how persistent she was. He approaches her with cautious steps, careful not to let his slightly worn out shoes squeak on the tiled floor. He now stands in front of her, with each of his breaths full of uneasiness.
He looks up at the mistletoe and holds back another chuckle. Shaking his head, he leans down. He is now face to face with her, though hers is downcast with her breathing peacefully and his is upright with him breathing hesitantly. The cautious figure gently takes her chin and moves it upwards, her quills falling back behind her shoulders. He quickly leans in and presses his lips to hers. She wakes, but doesn’t dare open her eyes, afraid that once she does, this blissful, wonderful dream will be over and she’ll wake up. Carefully, he parts their lips and backs away. It is over far too quickly for her, but it lasted longer than he expected. Maybe there is something there and he isn’t just avoiding her looks of disappointment on Christmas Day. Or maybe not. Her eyes start to flutter, and he’s gone in a flash, but not before swiping a cookie off of the plate on the counter. Her eyes snap open and a tremendous smile appears on her face. That was the best dream she had ever had. She knew she could never give up on him now.
