I can't get over this official Angron art I found on GW's merch site. My boy looks quite good but damn, that expression. His mouth says angry but his eyes say inconvenienced.

He looks like he's yelling at Khârn for drinking the Baja Blast he was saving for later.

Headcanon; Angron's war paint isn't war paint. Those are tattoos marking him as the property of House Thal'kyr. He could never be rid of his status as property.

As usual I don't have many creative ideas when it comes to Angron.

I just can't relate to him.

I've read his novel and all I could think of was, how much better the War Hounds would have fared without their Primarch.

I've read his Heresy-storyarc and all I could think of was that if Lorgar hadn't gone out of his way to pave the path to Khorne, Angron would just have degenerated further and further, the nails slowly eating away any shred of sanity until one of his brothers would have to put him down (this time for real, Russ!).

I know I should feel sorry for him. He had the worst of luck with Nuceria.

Thoughts on the latest Lotara lore?

//Love it! Very on brand for the universe. I’m glad they didn’t kill her off screen or something equally ignominious. Its nice to have some personal headcanons become official lore! I’m glad they finally answered the question of what happened to her, but it also begs the question, will we eventually see her in the ‘modern’ 40k?

I confess I was holding off on answering this with every intent of getting a hold of the books she pops up in myself, but my life is a whirlwind of competing priorities lol. It just hasnt made the top of the list yet.

With Angron refusing to be a father to the World Eaters, many of the astartes have clung to Lortara as a mother figure. Some of them have even accidentally called her mom instead of ma'am.
