I don't think people give humor the credit it deserves. You could show me the most destitute, broken down person on this planet.., but if i could make them laugh or even just smile, then if only for a moment they would be unconditionally happy. I can't help but think that this resilience of spirit that humor evokes is humanity's defining characteristic; the purest demonstration of what it means to be human. To me, humor is beautiful.
