I'm confused. Why did Misao and MF fans get mad when Pewdiepie played it? Just because he played it doesn't mean it'll become really popular. I know Ib did, though. But hey, I found Ib through him, but found out about the others on my own. And I'm not mad. And i doubt the creators are as well.

+Hm, though I may not have a direct answer to this, I still have one theory. The main reason why people don't like Pewdie playing the game is only due to the whole 'explosion' of PewdiePie fans overflow the fandoms. It's understandable why one would be a bit devastated to the whole mass of people flooding in, though it's pretty irrelevant for others to bash on the fans either.

I guess one another issue to be stated is for the way the fans find out the game, or just memes that his fans have created for that one game only. Also sometimes the joke he says can be quite vulgar and offensive to others, though I won't go delve into that matter. Hopefully this answers your question anon. uvu+
