gifts. angelika, cassius, cleopatra, grindan, alistair, and bryn.
angelika. she possesses a glamour of horror, a gift that is in no way practical against vampires. to humans, her features are too perfect for mortal eyes to comprehend. much like when a human sees an angel in it’s true form, they appear monstrous, instigating fear. she’s horrifying to humans. but to immortals, her features are stunning. she is so radiantly beautiful that upon first meeting her she renders the other incapable of speech and movement. but only on the first meeting. it is for this, that aro does not see her gift as important or worthy of collection.
cassius. his gifts manifested in his human life, under watchful eye of his father, caius. he is telekinetic, in his mortal life, he could move small objects with his mind. as an immortal, he can dismantle an entire coven with a single swipe, sending them hurling in whatever direction he wants. he can levitate them, and hold them in place. a useful gift for ensuring that no one can lay a hand among a single member of his coven.
cleopatra. unlike her brother, cassius, her gifts only manifested after she was turned. as a human she had a violent temper, her mood never stable. upon turning, when she woke in her frenzy, she was engulfed in flames. her gift is entirely controlled by her emotions, therefore she remains completely calm and in control, until someone tells her not to
grindan. his gift is what landed him as a guard of the wives. with the ability to augment the powers of those around him, he can render a gift useless, it’s strength weakened to barely noticeable, or he can enhance it tenfold. his gift is often used alongside jane’s in battle ( though he finds himself in the privacy of their home weakening it rather than making it stronger. ) and is used to enhance demetri’s tracking abilities.
alistair. he can make your worst fears a reality, or so it seems. with an illusion of fear, he can send one spiraling into a pit of their own fears, rendering them incapable of anything but screams of fear. his gift has not been developed, as aro never allows his hyrbid son to leave the security of their home. but he is dangerous.
bryn. she is quite possibly the greatest gift aro could have hoped to obtain. with the gift to negate the abilities of others, she can turn on and off someone’s abilities at will. a useful tactic for dealing with covens with their own abilities that could oppose the volturi. ( but as a newborn, her presence in the coven is simple: she is the key to obtaining the cullens aro so desperately craves. )
