OPEN RP. BEACH EVENT THING HOORAY

It had taken six hours of meticulous planning for Suki to realise that, really, there was no organising something like this- a beach trip with the amount of people she'd invited, all wildly different. So she'd sent out a date, time, and location, (and a request to only bring small weapons please, she could not handle more bloodshed than absolutely necessary) and let God do the rest.

She sat now on this beach (blissfully empty, for now) wrapped in a cardigan, waiting for the absolute chaos she had brought upon herself to begin.

Ok ok so this is an OPEN RP thingamajig. I wanted to do a summer event thing and the general population voted beach trip so here we are!! Anyone, and I mean ANYONE can join, just don't start a fight (ooc) etc etc.

Anyway yeah go crazy

Esteban took some time to go, not on the best mood after... Everything. Still, going outside was a known way to lighten the mood and cooling off. That, and spending time with some of their friends in a nice, calm, fun trip.

Wearing a swimsuit and a loose shirt, he arrived by foot after walking by himself. Being completely honest, he was expecting to see someone in particular... He shook his head at the thought, because he didn't even know if he would arrive at all.

There were some people already there, so he politely waved and smiled

It took Bishop some time and some planning, but after a little bit of arguing with beach staff... he ended up rolling down the beach sand in a fancy little wheelchair meant for the sand. He looked up and down the shores, searching for the only person he really knew here (and wanted to see). His eyes finally landed on Esteban waving to someone else, and he lit up immediately.

"Duckling!"

Bishop finally called out to Esteban, smiling widely as his weaker arms pushed the awkward wheels through, managing to roll up next to the man. He was in new swimming shorts, a mangled tag he failed to rip off still hanging by the side. He lacked his usual wrist brace, too scared to get it wet in the hopeful idea he'd get to go in the water. He hadn't gone to the beach since he was a little boy, before his horrid flare-ups, and this little event excited him more than words explained.

Just as he turned to go where he told Suki, a new voice calling out for him sent him looking over their shoulder. There, they saw Bishop. Unlike before, their demeanor shifted to that of pure happiness, and without a second thought or even waving goodbye at Suki, he ran towards the other.

"Bi!" He replied with a big smile and stopped just in front of him to give him a hug. "You made it!" Duckling chuckled, his face wrinkling positively.

"Of course I did. Couldn't miss something fun like this."

Bishop joked, smiling widely as Duckling hugged him. He wrapped his own arms around the other man, squeezing him as tight as his arms could manage before pain flared up in his joints. He laughed softly at the feeling, relishing it before reluctantly letting go and watching Duckling's smiling face. His chest felt warm, and so did his cheeks, but he just attested it to the warmth of the sun. Bishop couldn't help but admire the man in front of him, his heart beating a little faster than he thought normal.

"I'm... happy to see you again. You look well."

Briefly, he was lost in Bishop's eyes, his smile... His body. Then, he forced himself to be a normal person and answer to his words.

"Yeah... same to you." Trying to avoid thinking about his racing heart, he looked back at the ocean to hide his blush spread across his cheeks. "I was just about to put sunscreen and play in the water. Wanna join?" He offered, same goofy smile in his lips.

Bishop smiled a little wider at Duckling's stare and shy words, realizing that he felt similarly to Bishop in the moment. Maybe that's just how it is with close friends... either way, he felt himself get excited at the idea of getting in the water again. He loved swimming when he was little-- he wasn't sure if he could still swim, but at least being in the water would make him ecstatic.

"Yeah, absolutely! Do you need help applying some?"

He offered, grinning as he watched his dearest Duckling talk and smile. Oh, how he treasured his... friend.

Glancing back at him, a more prominent blush increased in his cheeks. Surely Bishop was only being friendly about that, but.......

"Sure. If only I can help you back." Duckling immediately regretted saying that after saying it, not intending it to sound that flirtatious. Kind of. Maybe.

Still, he did wanted to spend his time at the beach with Bishop.

Bishop hummed back, feeling like a little kid in a candy story at the situation. He was sincerely enjoying the situation and their little banter, even as he was completely oblivious to the borderline flirting between the two of them.

"As long as you can wheel me around, I'll be happy."

"It's the least I could do, right?" He chuckled, inspecting the wheelchair he was in. "Pretty cool, by the way." Not that he had seen many in his life, but it was definitely not like the regular kind... "Oleksy! It's been long since we've talked. I thought you went missing, good riddance. Who's this? Is this your new friend? Chick, duck--- I don't recall. But hello, dear friend of Oleksy's. You can call me Stepan."

Admin greeted, smiling kindly as he came up to stand next to Bishop's wheelchair as he eyed Duckling. He looked like a kind and respectable man, really. He trusted this guy with his son employee.

Admin nodded along and nudged Bishop gently in his own wheelchair, carefully putting a hand on the other boy's arm.

Bishop rolled his eyes, annoyed by Admin's presence like a son embarrassed by his father's stupidity. He grumbled, crossing his arms and huffing like a rebellious child.

OPEN RP. BEACH EVENT THING HOORAY

It had taken six hours of meticulous planning for Suki to realise that, really, there was no organising something like this- a beach trip with the amount of people she'd invited, all wildly different. So she'd sent out a date, time, and location, (and a request to only bring small weapons please, she could not handle more bloodshed than absolutely necessary) and let God do the rest.

She sat now on this beach (blissfully empty, for now) wrapped in a cardigan, waiting for the absolute chaos she had brought upon herself to begin.

Ok ok so this is an OPEN RP thingamajig. I wanted to do a summer event thing and the general population voted beach trip so here we are!! Anyone, and I mean ANYONE can join, just don't start a fight (ooc) etc etc.

Esteban took some time to go, not on the best mood after... Everything. Still, going outside was a known way to lighten the mood and cooling off. That, and spending time with some of their friends in a nice, calm, fun trip.

Wearing a swimsuit and a loose shirt, he arrived by foot after walking by himself. Being completely honest, he was expecting to see someone in particular... He shook his head at the thought, because he didn't even know if he would arrive at all.

There were some people already there, so he politely waved and smiled

It took Bishop some time and some planning, but after a little bit of arguing with beach staff... he ended up rolling down the beach sand in a fancy little wheelchair meant for the sand. He looked up and down the shores, searching for the only person he really knew here (and wanted to see). His eyes finally landed on Esteban waving to someone else, and he lit up immediately.

"Duckling!"

Bishop finally called out to Esteban, smiling widely as his weaker arms pushed the awkward wheels through, managing to roll up next to the man. He was in new swimming shorts, a mangled tag he failed to rip off still hanging by the side. He lacked his usual wrist brace, too scared to get it wet in the hopeful idea he'd get to go in the water. He hadn't gone to the beach since he was a little boy, before his horrid flare-ups, and this little event excited him more than words explained.

He seemed curious, wide eyes scanning every new sight in this mall. He's evidently never been in one the way his eyes light up and he's asking Duckling every little thing he can. Delightfully, Duckling talks back. Bishop's listening to him rambling anxiously before they finally stumble up to the store Medusa and Duckling are meant to meet up in. Bishop follows behind Duckling as they find the corner that Medusa sat in. Duckling sits down, and Bishop silently follows. He doesn't say anything for a long minute, watching between them curiously. He wondered why Medusa was so calm, smiling even, while Duckling was nervously sweating his skin nearly off. It was fascinating to the very socially unschooled man. Finally, he finds his voice, no matter how small..

"Yeah, I just... wanted to see you. I wanted to clear things up, since we couldn't say goodbye last time..." His eyes wander over Duckie's features. He looks so grown up, and yet so innocent still.

Though, he still says nothing. After all, this isn't his business, really. He feels weirdly about Medusa, but in the way he feels weirdly about his brother. So, really, maybe this isn't that bad. Maybe, he really needs to wait and see instead of judging immediately like everyone else does. He finds interest in the ceiling tiles and the grain of the table rather than Medusa's face. It unsettled him.

"I'm good... just,, I just ate." He lied through a smile, staring at the treat like it was a loaded gunshot. "I know we're not supposed to, and I know what everyone has told you... But you're better than that. You know who I am, Duckie. You don't... Believe that, right?" Just a subtle redirecting back to the topic at hand, a little helping for the one currently freaking out in silence. His weak grip tightened for just a moment. The only thing he could do to say that he's trying to help.

Ignoring their gut feeling, Esteban very slowly grabbed the sweet he had been offered before and placed it in his pocket. That way, maybe that would calm him, would make him more pleasing if he simply pretended he accepted.

There a barely visible twitch that he played off as simply looking around before following up with Bishop's greeting.

"It's-- it's been a while. How,, how are you, Medusa?" He can't bring himself to control his shaky tone, or how he called him. His real name brings him the urge to puke. "You wanted to talk?"

That guy along Duckie... He doesn't recognize him, and it's immediately obvious he's not a threat by the cane he uses to walk. It doesn't matter. Medusa is too focused on him, who he sees shaking like a leaf.

"I've been okay, as much as I can right now." Longing in his eyes, he handed him a chocolate bar from his pocket. "Here, you used to love these, didn't you?" He slided across the table, then gave the other individual a faked polite smile and a nod. As long as he's not in the way, he can follow along.

"Yeah, I just... wanted to see you. I wanted to clear things up, since we couldn't say goodbye last time..." His eyes wander over Duckie's features. He looks so grown up, and yet so innocent still.

Bishop's starting to notice more and more of Duckling's anxiety. It makes his own stomach churned with memories of his coworker who looked similarly while weeping idly to another about the supposed boss of his company. Oh well. A hand better functioning than the other found itself atop of Duckling's wrist under the table, squeezing in an attempt of comfort as the weaker male gave a glance towards Duckling. Though, he still says nothing. After all, this isn't his business, really. He feels weirdly about Medusa, but in the way he feels weirdly about his brother. So, really, maybe this isn't that bad. Maybe, he really needs to wait and see instead of judging immediately like everyone else does. He finds interest in the ceiling tiles and the grain of the table rather than Medusa's face. It unsettled him.

For a single moment, he feels Bishop's hand on his wrist squeezing him. Without hesitation, he holds him back with a mixture for desperation and reassurance.

Soon enough, the disgust comes in the form of a chocolate bar. It brings bittersweet memories that pool in his stomach, not quite puke but just that feeling of coming back from a bad trip. One he wished for it to leave and never come back.

"I'm good... just,, I just ate." He lied through a smile, staring at the treat like it was a loaded gunshot. This chocolate had nothing but more venom that would poison his brain, then his body, then... "We can talk. But I-- it's just-- y'know we can't--" Stumbling over his words, the feeling of his eyes on him cause a worse effect than before. Through the corner of his eyes, he even managed to catch him looking somewhere he shouldn't.

A growing frown appears on his face when he refused, like it was a personal offence. Neither of them ever grabbed it, even though Medusa just pushed it a little bit closer in his direction.

"Hey, it's okay." He claimed, as if he hadn't just stared at something that wasn't Duckie's clothes. Every part of him, he couldn't help but admire. "I know we're not supposed to, and I know what everyone has told you... But you're better than that. You know who I am, Duckie. You don't... Believe that, right?" His eyes gathered all the patheticness of a crawling dog, feeling his own heartbeat heavy with anguish. "You know me, Duckie..."

Ever so slightly, he leaned forward. Elbows came to rest on the table, beside the lunch tray he had on top of it. His head tilted slightly to the side, and his glance boring into his Duckie's. He hates to see him so distressed.

Bishop is still unsure on what the hell is going on, but he's starting to get an idea. Unfortunately, he doesn't really catch onto it well. He stares between the two men, unsettled by it ALL. Bishop suddenly caught Medusa staring far too low to meet Duckling's eyes, and suddenly, the disgust felt a little too real. Maybe a little defusing and distraction oughta do it. Bishop is starting to distrust the man speaking way too smoothly. He's always been a quiet man, but he's had teeth since young.

"Medusa. What did you want to talk about, again? I think we're trailing off topic too fast. And, ah, let's not do anything we're not supposed to do!"

Bishop's tone was friendly, cordial. Almost innocent, a little unaware. There wasn't an accusation or any judgement. Just a subtle redirecting back to the topic at hand, a little helping for the one currently freaking out in silence. His weak grip tightened for just a moment. The only thing he could do to say that he's trying to help.

How long had he been waiting? Probably long enough to earn some strange looks from passing people, despite being situated in the food section, sitting by the corner. His food had already gone cold, getting more and more anxious with every time he looked at his phone, waiting for a text, a sign.

The thing worrying him aside from meeting Esteban after years of not seeing him was who could be accompanying him. Everyone he could think of would stab him right there, on sight. Hudson, Tooth, or even his father... they all didn't get it. They would never get it, unless they walked on his shoes, and see what he saw. There's a palpitation in his body at the mere thought of watching him across the mall, looking as beautiful as the day he first saw him. Unbeknownst to him, he had kept tabs on his life, so he knew about his prosopagnosia. That's why he wore a bracelet like the one he had, just in a greenish color. Orange looked so pretty when Duckie wore it.

He knew he would forgive him. He always had a heart of gold.

Bishop walked alongside Duckling's side, leaning on his cane as he looked around and murmured idle chatter in a light Ukrainian accent. He seemed curious, wide eyes scanning every new sight in this mall. He's evidently never been in one the way his eyes light up and he's asking Duckling every little thing he can. Delightfully, Duckling talks back. Bishop's listening to him rambling anxiously before they finally stumble up to the store Medusa and Duckling are meant to meet up in. Bishop follows behind Duckling as they find the corner that Medusa sat in. Duckling sits down, and Bishop silently follows. He doesn't say anything for a long minute, watching between them curiously. He wondered why Medusa was so calm, smiling even, while Duckling was nervously sweating his skin nearly off. It was fascinating to the very socially unschooled man. Finally, he finds his voice, no matter how small..

In between the nervous rambling, Esteban follows some breathing exercises to calm themselves. 4 seconds to breathing, 4 seconds to breathe out, then repeat. Does it help? Not much, only to distract them in the meantime.

What does help is having Bishop with him. He seems more curious about the place around him, which he's too deep in his emotions to notice or care. He's only glad to have company. And his father's gun. He doesn't plan to use it, but he forced him to carry it with him under his shirt as a last resort.
