INFORMATION:

Hello! This is a story-based blog for Mr. Ant Tenna from DELTARUNE! He is a main character, but other characters will appear, including my own OCs for the story.

This story takes place BEFORE/during Chapter 3 (202X) and is an alternate story.

There WILL be Spamtenna!

The mod for the blog is a Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) system. Responses may vary in skill as a result, but the main writer is a Tenna alter/headmate. If you want more information on DID systems, feel free to ask!

If you have an OC, you can submit a reference sheet in case there's ever art on the blog, but also it helps visualize the character!

This is a safe space. Hate on LGBTQ+ or other minorities will NOT be tolerated.

You can roleplay in the asks, and I, in fact, encourage it! It can definitely make writing responses easier.

Please no doubles! (Example: Roleplaying as another Tenna in the asks, for example, or roleplaying as a canon character as they may show up later. Might be confusing!)

One OC per asker to keep it simple (but if you create separate anons for OCs and can manage them, go right ahead. Just label them with an emoji, name, etc)

A pet companion for the OC doesn't count as a separate OC since they tend to be pretty easy to narrate.

Please keep roleplaying to asks! It's easier to manage that way. Replies in reblogs won't be counted.

FACTS:

Tenna is on the nonbinary spectrum and goes by he/they/it, but likes male honorifics (man, boy, guy, etc).

Tenna wasn't in a relationship with Spamton. (He wishes that he was, though). Had some weird situationship with him

Darkners only turn to stone if they lose their purpose while in other Dark Worlds. It's a HC I have to explain why a Zapper turned to stone but a Pippin didn't!

This is a text-based story blog but some asks MIGHT have art.

Ramb is a demiboy and goes by he/they.

Susie goes by she/her, willing to experiment. She is a trans girl.

Kris is nonbinary, goes by they/them.

Ralsei is a demiboy, goes by he/they (but he doesn't think it's important. Gotta love that self deprecation!)

Tarian (Deltarune OC) is nonbinary and goes by they/them.

Tarian is deaf (can speak, but usually doesn't).

Kris is mute (they can speak but prefers not to). Will add more as characters appear!

*a sort of possum monster sleeps by a dumpster nearby. They snore quietly, making sniffing noises as they dream...

*a regular at the local library. Although they had never truly had a conversation, Kris may recognize them from their many eyes and their sweater , similar to their own in the Light World.

*they seem to be deep asleep.... perhaps a sweet ,home baked treat could wake them?

Susie, Ralsei and Kris began following Tenna to the Green Room when he had run after Ailuri. Beside the entrance sat a dumpster with tons of what looked like old scripts written on paper strewn about.

While Susie and Ralsei were talking amongst themselves and didn't notice the possum monster, Kris stopped in place. Their head tilted just a little when they recognized the peculiar-looking monster.

Slowly, Kris approached the dumpster and stood in front of the possum. Their shadow draped over the sleeping monster in the low-light.

It was silent for a lengthy moment, until...

Kris knelt down in front of the possum and rustled through their inventory. They pulled out the slice of Spin Cake and held it out for the possum monster. It wasn't Toriel's homemade pie, and probably wouldn't be as good, but it was definitely cooked to perfection by a different chef.

[ Jack almost immediately tried to pull his hand away in reflex when Ramb grabbed his hand, but forced himself to just relax and watch. After Ramb was done, Jack slowly pulled his hand away from the small bartender, staring at his new scars with a troubled expression. ]

…I guess I should have expected something like this from you. Considering where we are now.

thank god these will look normal later.

I think he shouldn’t. Not for that, at least. I think he should regret bringing me here.

[ Jack soon roughly pulled his gloves back on over his shoulders, looking even more troubled than before. ]

"Well, if he didn't bring you here, we wouldn't have met," Ramb added with a small smile. His little outlet tail wagged just a bit. "And I quite like ya, mate. I'm glad that you're here. I'll try and get ya home, though."

Ramb turned away from Jack and gestured for him to follow. If Jack were to follow Ramb's gaze, it'd settle on the way Tenna was going: the Green Room.

[You listened to Susie’s laments and sentiments before you were roughly patted on the back, causing you to squat a bit given your size difference- but you let out a giddy laugh]

“I’m glad I’m not alone anymore- especially with you lot.” [They flashed a sharp smile at Susie]

“I don’t think I’ve had a couple of teens be this cool in a while..”

"Psssh, of course I'm cool! We're cool!" Susie grabbed Kris and Ralsei shortly after saying that and ruffled the tops of their heads. Kris just let out happen while Ralsei playfully protested and tried, albeit halfheartedly, to push Susie away.

When she was done tormenting her friends, she pulled away and flashed a toothy grin. "And you're cool, too, Ves. Now, let's go follow that television!"

GAMESHOW?

Why didn’t you say so? (hehe that rhymed!) I’d love to join!”

[The panda quickly pulls out a tricycle from behind their little back (???) and wastes no time hopping on and zooming to the green room. Their giggles fade out gradually as the distance grows between them and everyone else]

Tenna perked when Ailuri sped off on a tricycle that they suddenly spawned in. He furrowed his brows, though when he remembered that the power that brought them here didn't like when his audience was far from him, Tenna picked up the peace. He didn't want Ailuri to possibly get injured from the magical force that brought them all here.

"Wait, Ailuri!" Tenna exclaimed as he hurried. "Don't go too far!"

"Name's Ailuri! Pleased to meet cha!!"

[They extended a tiny paw towards Mr. (Ant) Tenna. A big, open-mouthed grin rested on their face. The pure yellow of the inside of their mouth was almost as bright as their attitude. Their pearly white fangs shine in the unnatural light.]

[...Still hard to tell if they're a darkner or a lightner. Strange little critter that one.]

Tenna flashed his own grin towards Ailuri and gently took their hand into his own. His hand easily dwarfed theirs, so he took extra care to not harm the little purple panda.

"The pleasure is all mine!" Tenna said during the hand shake, though he pulled his hand away shortly after saying that just so he could bow politely. "You're just in time for the game show!"

"Ah, fuck..." Susie sighed heavily. "Yeah, forgot we were doin' that..."

"I'm sure it'll be fun!" Ralsei piped in beside Kris. He flashed a sheepish smile.

"I have a lot more players than I originally thought I'd have," Tenna admitted with a chuckle. Despite the nervousness, he seemed absolutely thrilled. "But I have some ideas! I'll need to run them by Mike, first, so let's head to the Green Room."

[ Jack scoffed and a sarcastic grin appeared on his face. ]

What? You think I actually do? Look what he did to my hands for crying out loud!

[ Jack soon set Ramb down and yanked off one of his gloves, revealing his arm. It was covered in scars and a chunk was taken out of it around where his shoulder was. But, he ignored all the other scars and merely showed the little bartender what had happened to his knuckles. ]

C’mon! Don’t be pulling my leg to say that I’d actually

after what he had done!

Now THAT would be a good joke, kid!

Ramb did a tiny hop when he was set on the ground. After an extended period of time being suspended in the air in the arms of Jack, walking on his own felt weird. He shook himself to familiarize himself with the feeling of being on his own two feet again.

If Jack were to look closely, it seemed like fur puffed out when Ramb shook himself. Shortly after, the fur flattened against his body.

When Jack showed his knuckles, Ramb frowned at the fresh wounds. He stepped forward and, without really thinking about it, he took Jack's hands into his own.

Their eyes closed as they focused on what they were doing. Ribbons of green and purple spiraled from their fingertips and snaked along Jack's arm like slithering serpents. The ribbons were warm, however, and strangely comforting. A surge of relaxation spread throughout Jack's body as the ribbons coiled loosely around Jack's hand, covering his knuckles.

Jack's skin melded together to cover the fresh wounds, leaving behind delicate swirl designs that were rather sharp at the ends instead of a usual smooth, flowy appearance. Star-like sparkles lined the swirls like a miniature night sky.

Ramb pulled himself away and lowered his hands with a small smile. "There. The wounds are healed. The scars look a wee different in the Dark World, so the appearance won't look the same if you go to the Light World." He paused for a moment and rubbed the back of his neck. "And I'm sure Tenna regrets hurtin' ya like that."

Jack tried to attack others before. Ramb knew this. He knew a lot of things. He didn't want to bring it up, though, in case it was a sore subject.

“Good to know.”

[You chuckled lightly and watched as Susie puffed her chest up and tried to look as intimidating as possible]

[..You felt comfort at the fact she had your back..]

“…And thank you..I don’t think I’ve really ever had people do this for me..”

"I get that. I didn't really have anyone before." Susie crossed her arms and tapped a claw against her scales. "I was an asshole, to be fair, so nobody really wanted to be with me. When I moved to Hometown, I thought a lot of things were gonna be the same. I was proven wrong. Now I have Kris and Ralsei!"

She unfolded her arms to roughly pat Ves on the back. "You aren't alone now, though. Neither of us are."

[ Jack immediately frowned when Ramb said that, his grip on the little bartender tightening slightly and his face shifting into a sneer in response. ]

I ain’t going soft on no one. It was meant to be an insult anyway.

…I’m certain I’m not going soft.

Ramb anxiously glanced down at Jack's hands when his grip tightened, but they returned their gaze to Jack's face. Their ears perked a little when Jack murmured that last sentence to himself.

"It's alright if ya are, luv. Nobody's gonna judge ya. In fact, it'd make the TV rather happy to know you like 'im."

“Why thank you good sir, but I’m sure I got this!”

[The purple panda tries to lean back to get a better hold on the string, but in their clumsy effort, end up just spinning more instead. Their previously stable and elegant float turned more into a spider stuck on its own web. The panda spent a good minute stubbornly trying to free themself before sheepishly looking at Tenna]

“…Actually, about that assistance…”

[Even if they were able to somehow get out of their harness themself, they were quite the small creature that was no taller than ramb, and they were up to Tenna’s nose currently. Would’ve been a rough tumble if they did succeed.]

Tenna tilted his head while the purple panda got more tangled and kept swaying from the elevated string. He chuckled a little and lifted a hand so that the panda's feet were planted on his palm, ensuring their safety if they were to fall.

With his other hand, he began to undo their bounds. His sharp nails were helpful in untying any particularly stubborn knots.

It took a good while to untie the knots since Tenna didn't want to just cut the string. When the panda was untied, his hand was there to catch them so they didn't fall to the ground.

"There you go, dear!" He exclaimed and gently placed them on the ground with a soft pat to their head. "All free!"

There was a moment of pause when Tenna seemed to realize something. His antennae perked during that realization. "Oh! I forgot to ask! What is your name, dear? I can go first! I'm Mr. 'Ant' Tenna, but you can just call me Tenna. It's a pleasure to meet you!"

[Ves’s eyes…seemed to dull a bit back into the normal purple they displayed as they took their hand away from their chest, seemingly to calm down as soon as Susie gave a reassuring hand to grasp onto..]

[They sighed, holding their head a bit as they blinked and looked at Susie, who was glancing at them..a bit in horror]

“O-Oh shit- Sorry- I didn’t mean to spook you. I’m fine, I..I just didn’t- I just.... wanted you to know I had your back. Sorry-“

[..You didn’t want to worry anyone..or let them know exactly what you were..]

Susie scoffed a little and glanced away to return her gaze to the others.

"You didn't spook me," she replied with her face scrunching up a little. She tried to look as intimidating as possible, to show that she was, indeed, not phased by anything going on. She didn't know if it was working. "But... thanks. I have your back, too."

[Suddenly, in a dramatic display, a strange purple colored red panda of sort floats down from the sky. It’s strangely unclear whether they’re a lightener or a darkner. Cartoony wings strapped to their back as they’re lowered by a string. Somehow, they’ve gotten the lighting on their side too as a spotlight shines right above them like an angel coming down from heaven. They’re slowly spinning by the string keeping them up]

“HELLOOOOooo…”

…

[Suddenly, all the lighting goes back to normal when they see the scene in front of them. Pure white eyes stare awkwardly at the scene. Bad time? They adjust their bow tie nervously as they survey their surroundings. This certainly wasn’t the introduction they were hoping for.]

Tenna was startled by the sudden purple panda who dropped in. He loosened his grip on Spice Anon-- when did he start squeezing them tighter? No matter.

Tenna instead grinned and sat Spice Anon back on the ground and gently patted their head.

"Oh, not at all! Welcome, welcome! I love the theatrics. The lighting, the costume, the special effects! Magnificent! Aren't you the sweetest thing ever!"

He approached the newcomer and eyed the string that they were attached to. "Did Mike help you set this up? Ah, no matter! It's wonderful!" He eyed the string some more. Despite how high the purple panda may be suspended, Tenna was able to reach them due to his sheer size. "Do you need any assistance getting down, darling?"

[You watched as Tenna interacted with Kris.you heard them speak..and you couldn’t help but grip onto your chest..a cold sweat developing on your brow...and silently..you watched spice anon..]

[You quickly held onto the hilt of your sword before you saw Spice Anon attack Tarian- but..before you could do anything..you saw- everything go down..]

[You put a hand on Susie’s shoulder gently….your other hand gripping onto you chest]

[....]

[You told Susie in a hushed voice..a voice no one could hear…that Tenna had it handled…but if that…Thing… lays a hand on anyone else…especially anyone she cared as deeply as much as she did for her friends…]

[....]

[.... “♥️”….]

“Beat.That.Bastard.To.A.PULP. Because if you won’t. I Will.”

[Long post]

Susie was bristling with poorly concealed anger. She rested a hand on Ves's hand to give them the same comfort they were giving her, but she really wanted to give Spice Anon a piece of her mind. Her lip curled up a little to reveal one of her sharp canines. Nothing was said, but she didn't need to say anything.

Subtly, she glanced over at Ves for just a moment. They were doing something that Kris would sometimes do. She didn't understand it, and while Kris would brush it off anytime she brought it up, she wasn't stupid. It was almost... horrifying at how similar it was.

Tenna glared down at Spice Anon while tightly gripping them.

They were right. He didn't want the others to know what he could really do. It scared him. He didn't want them all to know how insecure he was, how violent he could be, how much damage he could do...

... but he could at least bluff.

"You forget," he whispered in a soft, melancholy tone, unable to be detected by the others, "that I'm in control in this world. The others don't have to see me break you up into multiple pieces, my friend. I could just... send them away!" He began to chuckle, just a hair away from maniacally. He had to ensure that the others couldn't hear him. "They'd be none the wiser. If you want to live, then I suggest leaving them alone. If you won't... well, I won't give away all of my secrets! Just know that it'd be in your best interest!"

Tarian stood there for a long moment and looked down at the arrow they held in their hand. The shaft of the arrow was smooth to the touch besides little indents in the pristine metal. The etchings curved and coiled magnificently over the silver shaft whilst emanating a pink, pulsing hue. The fletching was lean and perfectly sculpted like it had been second nature. It was almost like, in a past life of sorts, Tarian may have been an archer.

Just as quickly as the arrow appeared, it disappeared in swirling pink ribbons of light. They turned their attention to the scene and frowned softly. Slowly, they walked over to Cloud and rested a comforting hand on their shoulder. Tarian didn't say anything, but they kept their eyes on Tenna and Spice Anon to ensure that Cloud would be safe.

Kris, in the meantime, met Cloud's other side, though stood a bit in front of them. They had summoned their shield without really thinking about it.

Yeah! Maybe you’re onto somethin’ here!

[ Jack snickered before stopping and looking over his shoulder at Tenna too when Ramb looked at him. When he saw Tenna flustered, something flickered in his expression. He soon scoffed and continued walking away. ]

Damned television.

Ramb grinned a little and playfully nudged Jack. "Gettin' a bit soft on 'im, mate?" He asked, though glanced behind Jack again. The situation had certainly changed for the worst, but the two of them were a bit further away and didn't hear, nor see, what had occurred. Tenna had a crazed look in his expression now. Ramb didn't like it, but refocused on Jack.

[Sorry for the lack of posts! Since this blog is run by a DID system, dissociation affects things, and motivation fluctuates. Thank you all for being interested in the story so far, however! :) ]

[Spice Anon smirked at Tenna.]

[Good. Stupid CRT was going to prove to them all exactly what they already knew. He didn't care about any of them. He'd just let them terrorize his so-called "beloved viewers" until one of them was dead- and oh, if these dumbasses didn't figure it out, one of them would end up dead.]

[Preferably that vessel or that half-breed, though Spice Anon would take that stupid lizard, too. They didn't like any of them, but those three in particular Spice Anon would be glad to be rid of.]

You're starting to see it, aren't you? He doesn't give a shit. Not about you, not about that stupid little girl, not about the dumbass lizard or the fluffball or anyone here. He's just going to use you.

In fact... I should prove it.

[Ves and Cloud were too close to Susie. Spice Anon had no doubt she'd make good on her threat to beat their ass if they tried something, though they made a mental note. Ves knew how to throw a punch, they'd need to be fast and catch them off guard. The lamb looked small and weak, but the pink horns atop her head looked like they'd hurt if she retaliated. Lunging at Kris would risk them meeting the business end of their sword. Ralsei wasn't even worth the attempt. Jack was the only one here who wasn't a total waste yet, but he was getting there.]

[Tarian needed to learn a lesson. On top of it, they were deaf, meaning they'd never hear them coming.]

[So, balling up their hands into fists, Spice Anon lunged for Tarian.]

[They'd all figure it out.]

Tenna was too focused on Kris to react quick enough. He whirled around when his antennae sparked, as though it was a cue, but he was too slow.

Tarian had their back facing Spice Anon. They were simply picking up some more flowers from the ground-- they had made good progress, as most of the flowers were gone by now, chosen by Tarian for lovely bouquets.

When Tarian was about to pick up one last flower, they suddenly stopped. They could feel the wind suddenly shift-- how it split apart because of an outside force. While they couldn't hear anything, they could feel the wind brush against their skin and ruffle their fabric. What felt like minutes were truly seconds, but it was as though time itself had slowed.

Power surged through the deaf individual. Their pink tattoos illuminated the darkness around them, brighter than they were used to, though if they noticed it happening, they didn't make it known. Paired with the symbols, Tarian's pink eyes flickered with light and surged with power they were not quite proficient in.

While this magic was new, their battle prowess wasn't.

Tarian was originally crouched down to pick up flowers, but when Spice Anon was close enough, they suddenly swept their foot under Spice Anon. They used Spice Anon's momentum against them, and the way they had to aim downward if they wanted to hit Tarian. The off-set balance was perfect ammo.

This resulted in Spice Anon falling forward when their legs were kicked out beneath them. Tarian was quick to stand up and tower over them. Pink light glowed from their neck tattoo and surged through their arm, leaving behind what looked like veins of pink energy. When the magic reached their hand, it began to form streamers that coiled around one another, materializing an arrow with a barbed end.

They pointed the arrow at Spice Anon as though it was a blade. They said nothing.

Tenna, however, was quick to hurry to the scene. He knew Spice Anon was trouble, but he didn't think they'd try to throw a punch at a deaf person!

He grabbed Spice Anon from the ground and curled his hand around them. He didn't squeeze, but Spice Anon could certainly feel the pressure and strength of his giant hand.

"You have caused enough trouble," Tenna growled. While his back faced everyone except Spice Anon, his sharp fangs were visible. He could easily rip flesh if Tenna truly wanted to.

"What the fuck!" Susie exclaimed and hurried to Tarian. She began to check them for wounds, though thankfully found none. Ralsei was quick to follow her, of course, double checking them and seemed relieved that they were untouched.

Susie redirected her attention to Spice Anon who was now suspended in the air. Her hands trembled at her sides, clenched into fists so tight that her knuckles became a bit discolored. If Tenna didn't have a hold on them, Susie would have put them in their place.
