Mod ✦ Character info ✦ Chimera biology tag ✦ Chimera Teto Gallery (main account) Somewhere deep in the California mountains, far from the nearest town, lies a small cabin in a forest clearing, sheltered from the unrelenting summer heat by the dense cover of impossibly tall redwood trees. Its outer walls are weathered, and hastily nailed down planks of wood cover various places where the old wooden walls gave way to rot.

A sizeable portion of the house has had it’s wood replaced with newer, more robust material, reinforcing areas that look as if they were weakened by weather damage. A patch of land beside the house has been tilled for gardening, where various herbs and vegetables can be seen growing, each type of plant labeled in messy handwriting on pieces of wood stuck into the ground. It’s truly an archetype of off the grid living. There’s no cell service here, and the nearest buildings are a few farms dotted across the landscape where the mountains recede into valleys, still miles and miles away.

In this house lives Teto Kasane, with her brother, Ted Kasane. In another home farther north, their cousin, Tei sukone resides, and often comes to visit.

Hello! This is a semi-serious askblog for my AU designs for Kasane Teto and her family! There's only a few rules here, but please respect them!

✧ This is an askblog mainly for interactive worldbuilding and to showcase my AU and xenobiology headcanon stuff to the world! how do you care for each other if someone gets hurt or sick? have any of you been in a situation where you had to go to a human hospital for medical attention? or would going to one be too much of a risk?

"We try to treat anything we can with OTC remedies, but going to a hospital isn't as dangerous for our cover as one might think. Humans have their own quirks, it's not like doctors are actively looking for signs of the supernatural, they're just trying to do their job"

do all chimeras have leathery bat-like wings and pointed tails, and if not, how wide can the variation go?

"For example, people with lineage from colder climates have more, thicker fur, and tend to take after animals that live in those climates, such as snow leopards! I think from what Ted told me, venom was a trait that came from more tropical climates, so some old part of Tei's family. Ted and I mainly take after animals from temperate climates!

HERE IT IS FOLKS!! THE PROJECT IVE BEEN TEASING!!!

I had the honor of being a part of the giant machine love mega collab for Jamie Paige's birthday, and got to work alongside Aku P for our part!! This has been in the works for months and I'm so so happy it’s finally out, come tube it nowwww!!!! This is also on all streaming services!!!!

This was my first time ever drawing for a Vocaloid song, so being a part of a project with so many well known producers was extremely nerve wracking!! This has been in the works since June of last year and I was very honored to work alongside Aku P for this project!! At the time I didn’t wanna be too ambitious and bite off more than I could chew, so I did a bit of extra art for the little producer chibis in the corner, as well as a slice of the thumbnail/album art, which is a collaborative piece by multiple artists who also were on this project too!

We showed this to Jamie a week before this premiered and it made her cry <3 she would then go on to refer to it as the most generational collab the English Vocaloid scene has seen so having that be my FIRST EVER TIME illustrating for a vocaloid video was sososo insane. I love this community so much man.

you're so lucky I had this in the chamber lol. It was originally gonna be just a piece of teto in flight as a way to stretch my wing drawing muscles but this inspired me to make it a sketchpage of everyone and their wings

Chimera have HUGE wingspans of 13-15 feet, which is really impressive but also gets REALLY tiring to draw especially for askblogs where you prioritize making art quick and messy rather than detailed to get asks out. I created the shapeshifting thing way back when as an excuse to not tire myself out by drawing wings all the time but as a result it has made me slack so hard on drawing them. So have the kasane family stretching their wings a little!! This was suuuch fun practice

"I think this thing had like... F-Zero, Sonic Advance 2, one of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games... I can't remember all of them! As for sports Tei and Ted both love volleyball, Tei and I used to tag-team Ted on the other side of the net!"

"That "someone" ended up being Miku and her friends on a trip up north! It's a miracle they let me use their phone at all considering how much of a mess I looked... I walked into that gas station covered in soot and completely barefoot, it's a miracle anyone let me near them at all." "Anyway, they stayed with me for a bit until Ted answered the phone and they could get him to meet us. We've been on and off chatting ever since!"

"Usually any time anyone's ever spotted us is in our true forms, not often in the middle of going between one or the other. Ted's got a cool story about a lost hiker he rescued though."
