Long ago, like 2 billion years ago long ago, there was a bunch of dissolved iron minerals in the oceans. When organisms in the ocean produced oxygen via photosynthesis, it bonded with the iron and formed iron oxide minerals, which sank and settled at the bottom of the ocean. Sediment settled on top, and then more iron, and more sediment, and so on in repeating layers. I thought it was pretty neat :vc ))

Speaking of acting better than everyone else, Nature! Who does he think he is, acting like a hermit? I should be able to visit his realm, I am a nature god too. But if he wants to be eaten alone by his moss and fungi, I certainly will not stop him.
Travel. She does not know when to stop trying to ask me for blessings across the ocean. I have stopped giving those long ago, and I have made it clear that anyone who is deserving of my blessing has already received it. Yet she still continues to ask.
Eugh, and Health. He is hardly a deity, he even goes and takes a human name to go by. He is a disgrace, as if helping the humans live longer is not bad enough.
I forgot I had written this a while ago but never posted it for the public. So here it is!
It's Romano x Portugal in the deus AU. For those that don't know, Romano is the god of chaos, Portugal is the god of the sea, they are referred to as Chaos and Sea in this. Okay let's go.

Normally, feeling the presence of ink and oil suddenly appear in a godâs realm would make any god wary. But Sea was the opposite. Any time he felt Chaos slip into his realm, he felt a surge of something he could only call happiness at the feeling of the god visiting him. Sometimes it was only for a few minutes, to pass through and kill some boredom, sometimes Sea would visit the mortal realm afterwards and find out an entire week passed by in the meantime.Â
Even though Chaos always tried to be as sneaky as he could, it was impossible to not alert a god when entering their realm. Unless, of course, they were asleep. Then they might wake up from the alert, or if they were known to be a particularly heavy sleeper like Sea, they would continue to sleep if the intruding god was able to mask themselves well enough. Sea had been caught off guard by Chaos in this manner quite a few times, and he could never forget the mischievous grin spread across Chaosâ face that he woke up to every time. So he made it his mission to be âasleepâ as quickly as possible every time he felt Chaos visit.
He was thankful that his choice of extra pillowing and places for napping wasn't questioned, as he started to build up more and more piles of blankets and pillows around the interior of the temple he resided in. He had realized he couldn't flop down on the floor and pretend to be asleep. Chaos knew him better than that, he would know that Sea was picky with where he slept and would only sleep on the softest of surfaces, with many blankets. It was a habit kept from when he burrowed into sand and kelp to sleep.Â
One time he was asked about why there were so many sleeping spots around his temple. There was one in every room by then. âSometimes I do not feel like returning all the way to my quarters to sleep,â Sea reasoned, and it was never asked about again. Thank goodness for his reputation of being lazy.Â
So every time as soon as he felt Chaos slip into his realm, he would burrow into one of the piles of blankets and pillows, making sure to leave his neck and shoulders exposed. Chaos sometimes liked to wake him up with a light nip. Though it seemed like today he wanted to do something different, as he instead slipped into Sea's burrow of blankets to lay on top of him surprisingly calmly. Beautiful, unpredictable Chaos. How Sea loved him.Â
Chaos played with the dangling pieces of sea glass hanging from his ear piercing. âI know you're awake.â
âI am not.â
Sea heard an amused snort come from Chaos, and he peeked an eye open to look over his shoulder at him. âPerhaps a kiss will--â Sea cut himself off with a yelp as Chaos chomped down on his shoulder, pointy teeth and all. He could feel a bit of his divine blood beading at the surface.Â
âYou shark,â he whined, feigning hurt. âWhat was that for?â
Chaos pressed a light kiss to his shoulder, as if that would make the wound heal any faster. âFor thinking you could trick me when you were smiling like an idiot.â
âCan you blame me? It is not often my favorite mischief maker comes and visits me.âÂ
Chaos trailed his fingers along Sea's jaw, and Sea easily tilted his head up into the touch, not unlike a cat. âFavorite, huh?â Chaos mused, the words rolling off of his tongue languidly. âI think I like the sound of that, kelp.â
âYes, my favorite.â Sea's eyes closed. He was completely wrapped around Chaosâ finger. âMy favorite mischief maker, my favorite bed warmer, my favorite trickster, my favorite god. I wouldn't have it any other way.â
Chaos tsked and drew his hand away from the petting. âIs that all?â
âI can go on for all day, butâŠâ Sea flipped over underneath him so they were face to face, and he gave him a grin as he wrapped his arms around him. â...I would rather show you."
Chaos smirked and combed his fingers through Sea's hair. âYou have my interest, kelp. It better be worth my time.â
