(@shaymincafe) Shaymes bowed his head to Ollie. "Blessings be upon you and your kin," he said with a smile. "How exactly did you come to know of the Magi and their blessings? Has word of them spread so far or did someone who previously met them tell you about them?"
Ollie still seemed shaken by the previous encounter, as their tail stayed firmly curled around them, hiding their paws from few.
"My teacher mentioned them once, when I was really young. I don't remember much besides that bringing them berries and water would grant those with a gift. Sorry if that's not super interesting, it's been a while since I heard the stories of them."
i wonder... do u have any specific dirt on a certain saiyan prince? u must have at least enough petty knowledge on him to make a banger top 10 video if u so chose to
Why, thank you for the opportunity to divulge…
-Snores. Loudly. I’ve received complaints.
-2 hour haircare routine.
-On multiple occasions has gotten his tail stuck in an automatic door and jumped so high as to leave a dent in the ceiling.
-Unsanitary uniform practices. Smells vaguely of mustard.
-Talks to himself frequently. Forgets to turn off scouter while doing so.
-Lost arm wrestling match with Cui. Never lived it down. Apparently it’s still a sore spot, though I’ve not had the chance to check.
-Afraid of worms. Also anything resembling worms. Origin of phobia unknown but hilarious to exploit.
Assalamualaikum sister! This is more of an ask to the blog rather than Umer himself. I’ve recently found your blog a month ago or so, and really enjoyed it, that you made your own Hetalia oc for the lack of official South Asian countries.
before your recent repost, it has been 11 months since you’ve last posted. My question is; do you still make Hetalia post or is it more of a past thing now?
Nonetheless, I enjoyed your blog a lot!
(If anything it’s my all time favorite)
And best wishes to you :)
W.salam! I'm glad you enjoyed my blog ^^ As to answer your question, this blog is currently inactive. I drop by occasionally every now and then to see how things are going, but I'm not actively creating content for Hetalia anymore.
I may occasionally post art on here sometimes though, but the blog certainly isn't as active as its glory days lol
Hey hey! what do you guys think of the other basementers? Any boss you guys are fond or unfond of?
This one's a bit of a doozy. Sorry that this took a while! Some extra notes below the cut that aren't in the comic for brevity or in character reasons:
The Horsemen are well known and a lot of people do look up to them, but War and Conquest have more controversial reputations and Connie is out of the spotlight atm. They ARE aligned with demons, but Death is referring to how they are technically being allowed to do what they do from divine forces... even if that also means their fates are sealed, if you know your Revelation trivia, Death has some things to frown about!
Famine is very fond of Siren, who is something of a celebrity in this world. She's pretty enigmatic, only talking to fans briefly and even being secretive with the demons she calls friends. Steven is similarly elusive, but a lot less outwardly pleasant.
Famine is generally cool with all the other basement-level bosses and is sort of a trusted authority figure to em all. Gurdy is a close friend, though the two haven't had the change to chat in some time. Very much a southern belle who gives great advice and even better hugs! and he often finds himself talking to Gemini. She has a rivalry with some of the sins - mainly greed and gluttony - bc of competition for business, attention and food.
Pestilence is friends with Rag Man as both feel very left behind by the world around them. RM is a very comforting and encouraging force for Pestilence, who is in awe of how confident he is despite his state of undeath. Likewise, RM sees himself as a guide for Pest while also seeing that he has more to offer than he thinks. This also puts him in good standing with Rag Mega, who is something of a familiar to Rag Man in this AU. Mahalath IS real, spoiler alert, but wants no part in the "basement bullshit" as she'd call it. She doesn't wanna fight a kid, that's too easy! Pestilence is treated with a lot of pity but doesn't feel like he has much friends. He sees through to that pity and obviously doesn't appreciate it. Who WOULD? The worms and bugs like him, but he's often too intimidated to converse with others. He is also a little forgetful and not confident enough to see and remember some interactions he's had that are more positive.
I mainly counted the other bosses for this, but Lazarus and Bethany have to be brought up. Lazarus is chronically ill, immunocompromised and a hypochondriac, so Pest is like, his worst fear. Likewise, Bethany sees Pestilence as a threat and resents him for what he stands for. She probably hates him the most out of anyone in the basement besides Satan and the Beast, just for the visceral distress she feels looking at him... Laz doesn't want anything to do with him either but ironically is more understanding even though he more or less has a phobia for Pest alone.
Speaking of the kids, in this AU Lilith is the son of the Dark One, and likewise that makes Adversary her ... also dad. Dead and "more evil" version of her dad, but he's better at raising her than DO is and claims the role more officially while DO has more or less fucked off and wants nothing to do with fatherhood. With the lineage of Samaels and Liliths throughout the demon family tree, this also makes War something of a half-brother to DO so likewise Lilith is sort of his niece, and adding Conquest to the mix with our tainted/posthumous lore, he's her dead and more evil version of her uncle. The Adversary has a major grudge against Conquest for many reasons, but is conflicted bc Connie can't remember half (and the more important part of) the why... i gotta get a good master post of all the lore going because this is a bit of a whammy without the context of previous asks.
War is seen as a bit of a disappointment, but not a total black sheep of the family because once again, he's good at sewing discord and that's all they want of him. He's chill with Hornfel here and Loki, but doesn't make too much of an effort to reach out. Hornfel does think he's totally cool. He's got an on and off friendship with the Dark One, a small rivalry with Wrath, and a big, bitter rivalry with Samson. This rivalry has somewhat subsided, but it's something everyone knows about and only wasn't mentioned above bc of the focus on the other bosses. The only thing Adversary approves of with War is aforementioned Doing His Job Well Technically and War keeping Samson occupied and away from his daughter. Not like Addy even hates Samson, only dislikes him, but he knows humans and demons mixing can be dangerous and knows Lilith is in a lot of danger as is! He's very overprotective. And yes, War is kind of that guy who really does Know A Guy for the weirdest of situations.
Conquest is certainly disliked by the main demon forces. Conquest is disliked by most people and is distant to most besides the other Horsemen and... gulp... Dogma, in a way. but Connie doesn't enjoy bringing Dogma up too much in casual conversation.
Death and Adversary really are similar personality and interest wise. They also have some shared struggles that they confide in each other with when Death doesn't want the others in his business. Death doesn't always have the patience for others but is looked up to by many of the undead and demons, and he appreciates it even if he can't show it. He doesn't make many enemies otherwise, even if people get on his nerves.
I'll have to link back my post about how they feel about the kids, Satan and the Beast, but I will say not much has changed from those earlier posts besides the emphasis on War as a rival for Samson increasing and... uh. idk. Also worth saying that Lilith dislikes both her uncle and his dead holy clone, but it's moreso annoyance than pure hatred. War and Conquest worry for her. The other Horsemen do, too, but not the the same extent as they're not related to the demons and do not see the worst of things. Lilith in this AU has a lot of mental health + behavioral struggles and it's a big focus on her arc for what i wanna tackle comic and fic wise! a bit of a bummer to end on, but I hope this was a solid answer !!
Can you draw Raiden as a baby and he is being held tightly by Nightmare because the latter is having a breakdown (something triggered his bad memories) and leaning onto Raiden’s head?
(I imagined this when I was listening to ‘I bet on losing dogs’ - Mitski)
I love them sm, him and his baby.
I've never drawn Raiden as a baby, I was gonna put him in something other than a sweater, but just decided on keeping it as the outfit I wanted to put him in wouldn't really have been seen lol.
*Destino approaches Calama in his beaten state. No matter the size of the opponent, Destino was indeed stupid enough to insult. Destino leans an arm against the big giratina in a rather relaxed pose, not a care in the world for what may happen to them.*
Destino: You know, I've seen many Pokémon in my time. Many. You're probably one of the largest. Now, if I was your size, I'd probably be pretty strong, you know? Strong enough to not let some overgrown noodle come out of nowhere and beat the shit out of me. It's funny really. Sometimes you think you're strong enough and you just end up being weaker than you need to be. Pathetically weak. I could probably lay a single night slash on you and it'd end you in a second. Judging by your state, a simple quick attack could probably do the trick. You're stupid for tackling such a strong opponent. I'd say that creature beat your brain out of you but, let's face it, there probably wasn't one in that thick skull of yours to begin with. Seriously, with that pathetic show you demonstrated, I doubt you could ever protect anyone. Then again, do you have anyone actually worth protecting? Or are all of you slimy, shriveled worms the same?
Calama at first ignored the Absol when he approached. Marshadow littering his entire body length feverishly working away to tend to their creators wounds, fussing and fretting as their tiny hands washed the deep slices while others tried to slow any bleeding spots.
As the Absol droned on and on about how superior it was and how pathetic Calama was and how easily the mortal could kill him in his weakened state the Giratinas body grew limp and sunk flat into the lake he was being washed in. His face buried itself against the earth in front of the Absol, the golden eyes of the god dull and growing duller as his listened before welling up with a slick wetness.
"Kill me then."
The Giratina's voice was faint as if the very labor of speaking burned his throat but there was also a sorrow laced in his voice that bubbled to the surface.
"Be just like those fairy types that condemned your kingdom to darkness...infact be worse than them condemn billions of innocent lives to death to stroke your own ego...to prove some worth you need to prove to yourself."
"I never asked for this life." His voice faltered. "I was a child. I was barely old enough to mass shift...let alone be sentenced to death...for the crime of having a color mutation...sent to my death by my own father just for mourning the mother I never got to say goodbye to before illness claimed her... Something you'd hopefully never have to know the pain of...14 trillion years I've protected billions of generations of lives...14 trillion years I have been battered and mauled to protect the people who put me in that position...14 trillion years I've been stuck in a life not worth living but went on anyway..."
Tears rolled down the giants face as more color seem to fade from his body he looked older...much older as his form seemed to give up and leave itself to the very fate that was sealed trillions of years ago.
"Billions of lives have always depended on me without me getting so much as a say in it...I value only a single one...her above all others and if this world ends I may rest knowing she'd be safe. Free to live a full happy life in another world where death doesn't linger on the horizon for her...allowed a life I could never have...You may end me little Absol...but I will rest knowing I gave my daughter a life worth living. A success even in the face of my defeat and you could never take that away from me even if you tried."
His sighed and his eyes looked away from the Absol staring off into the distance.
"All this suffering just because a child cried for his dead mother...all this because I wanted to say goodbye...fate sure is cruel to those of us of exceptional birth..."
