[ A door is kicked open - slammed, roughly. Not gently pushed open like it would be by the hands of a Tourist. Thrown open, left to rattle on their hinges, one after the other at a rate far faster than that of any of the typical inhabitants of the Hotel. Again and again, with reckless abandon. About 15 doors in, the entity guilty of such thing falters. Looking around, panting, glancing around in panic. Monochrome robes of black and white gently sway around a silhouette of a matching color palette, a brick-patterned cross pendant hanging around their neck. ]

"What the- Where- Wh-???"

⚙ // hello hello! have a sinner for your troubles! this ain't your typical tourist :)

Many different visitors have passed through the Hotel, all with varying levels of eccentricity. Still, something about this one perks the Moonlight's curiosity. 15 doors in... what a blessing that they haven't encountered anything yet. They eye the cross pendant around their neck. A crucifix, they see, but they can tell that it holds some sort of significance, a different purpose than the ones under the Architect's power. Looking at them as a whole, their robes remind them of something religious.

Cyan glow gathers near a closet to draw their attention, an amorphous yet quite noticeable form of light. The Architect pours all they can into communicating with this strange monochromatic guest, as they're still alive. "Greetings. You are in a place called the Hotel. Please don't be so panicked; this place requires caution, not speed."

They talk with a little more authority than they usually have, the guest's recklessness in mind. (They'll die at this rate.) Their voice nevertheless still has that veil of calm and comfort they always have.

"If I may ask, where do you come from? Many have passed these halls, though I've never seen one such as you."

[ Wide eyes snapped towards the glittering cyan, clearly bristling with adrenaline as droopy ears perked up at the voice. He didn't even have to process the words for the omniscient presence to make his heart tense. ]

[ Lord? ]

[ No, no, he scolded himself. He will not show Himself to you in the midst of a run; He is wiser than that. You only embrace Him in death. So who, then, is this new, nameless entity? A new realm was bound to be paired with some new faces, he supposed. ]

"I- I know not who you are, nor where I have found myself."

[ Sinner attempted to keep his voice steady, but the slight tremble behind his words - likely due to the pounding of his heart - made it next to impossible to mask. ]

"But my realm is likely not one within this. I am a soul seeking salvation from my God - and, it would seem, He has sent me here."

His God. A devout one, especially seeing how he's dressed and how reverent he is. Knowing their own divinity, they quickly conclude that this God is not theirs. Their dearest Celestials would not be so kind.

They pour more effort into their form to centralize their voice (Something about my ubiquity seems to disconcert him.), for now resembling some hazy humanoid. The only facial feature they present is an oddly familiar watchful eye.

"I was given the name Guiding Light by those like you, who go through these halls. You may do the same. I don't usually show myself like this, but you'll see me where I should be soon if things go as they usually do."

The Ocean can't help but be vague out of habit. They--the visitors--are meant to figure everything out on their own, and there seems to be limits to even their guidance.

"Not many know why they're sent here. Your God, you say? In a place like this..."

(To find salvation would be to leave limbo, would it not? Escaping from this stasis into an opportunity of change...)

"I advise you to continue on ahead. Like I said earlier, caution is key. Follow my lights. I'm certain you'll be able to figure out the rest."

Even with his anxious demeanor, he seems to be someone capable.

"I'm sorry I cannot stay for long. It exerts me to maintain this form and this communication."

"If you need to say or ask something, now would be the time."

[ He stepped back slightly with wide eyes at the more or less concentrated form, the familiarity of the eye driving his instincts to push him to that familiar stance. Ready to drop to a kneel at a moment's notice. To plead, to pray, to worship, to praise. Whatever the moment called for. Whatever He wanted from him. ]

[ Sinner's eyes lowered to the wooden floors for a moment, turning the situation over in his head. Caution is key; it is required, rather than speed. ]

[ A new test of his God's, then. Placing him in a new environment to test his adaptability. His will. ]

[ He would accept His challenge, then. He would prove his devotion - his LOVE - in the only way he knew how. ]

"I will trust you to lead my way in the absence of my God. I know He watches over me, and has entrusted you as my guardian."

[ The soul lifted a hand to the cross pendant as he spoke, silently grounding himself. More lessons to learn. If this place served like any of his past realms; he would likely die here. A fair amount of times. But each would serve as a lesson for the next attempt. ]

The stalwart devotion he has for his God elicits a kind of emotion the Architect can't quite describe. They almost revel in the attention that he gives them, loyalty they're given proxy to the bond he has with his Lord. Almost.

Changing view, he reminds them more of themselves--how they were with the Celestials that chose them and their fellow Architects. They don't want to ruminate on that any further. Their own loyalty, all for nothing.

"I'm grateful for your trust, and I will return it in full."

A promise they hope won't go empty. A guardian, he says. (Suppose that is the role I lead. I've lead, rather, all this time. 'To light and guide, to rule and guard.')

"For now, hold that cross close. You may find it useful."

Their ethereal form withers away with the last bit of advice, but they're not gone. They're always watching. Even with this visitor seeming more capable than the others, they know they'll see him again soon.

I like to think that whenever Tourist starts getting really bad at avoiding something (like dying to it an absurd amount of times in a row) Guiding Light kinda. Leaves them with it to try and make them get better at surviving
