Sachiko inherited her father’s need for justice, along with some less savory traits, and also feels the need be a hero because her mother couldn’t.

Honestly the LAST thing Manami wants is for her daughter to follow in her foot steps because she fears the same thing might happen to her. There’s been a whole lot of heated arguments between them about it.

NGL WHEN I SAY “BACKSTORY” ITS MORE HER PARENTS BACKSTORY(S) BUT IT STILL ULTIMATELY LEADS BACK TO HER AND WHY SHE WANTS TO BE A HERO AND ALL THAT SO BASICALLY-

Her mother, Manami, was born with the “Dermal Aperture” quirk and ever since it manifested she knew she was going to be A HERO. She trained hard, both her body and her quirk, and in high school she was accepted into U.A.’s hero program great right?

Yeah, it was really great but everything went kinda sour after the sports festival- when she went of to do her Apprenticeship/Hero Experience thing. She ended up encountering a villain with the power to heat objects and during the fight the hero she was patrolling with was injured. To disable her quirk the villain burned much of the skin where her Dermal Apertures were located.

Even after the wounds healed she was left with severe scarring that rendered her practically quirkless. Manami was forced to switch from the Hero Program to the General Ed program. That’s where she met some annoying guy with the ability to see “auras” (hint hint that’s Sachiko’s dad).

Takao Araki was really annoying, and flirtatious, and PERSISTENT. When she finally asked him what the heck his deal was he responded with- “My jokes are terrible but I really wanted to see if I could cheer you up.” Begrudgingly she became his friend- and then his girlfriend- and then Sachiko happened so they decided that they should probably get married.

Takao became a detective, his “Aura Sight” quirk making it easy to determine guilty parties, and Manami now runs a general store that Sachiko likes to “borrow” food and supplies from. They also have a three year old boy named Shigeru.

aaa okay imagine their first time hanging out outside of school!! they go to keijou's fave bubble tea shop to have drinks and study a little. (this happens after keijou mentions his favourite drink being taro bubble tea) and kei's pretty happy inside to get a chance to just relax in good company (he'll never admit to that though lol)

either way i’m always hyped for these kind of asks I’d actually planned to eventually reblog the “How to Woo” meme I’d made for my pokeblog in the past and I’ll be adopting the format of said meme for this

-How to woo-

1. Hang out with her. This one is pretty obvious and easy to do, especially considering how varied her interests are. Study with her, talk to her between classes, spar/train with her- Sachiko appreciates people setting aside time for her more than most anything.

2. Just accept her gifts. please just take the animal crackers. She’s got a bit of a mamabird side to her and her lil pocket dimensions are full of helpful items and snacks that she loves to give out. There’s few things that gets under her skin more than folks that reject her generosity. It makes her feel unappreciated. 

3. Tell lots of jokes. Sachiko loves jokes- even the unfunny ones- ESPECIALLY the unfunny ones. Is it 5:00 am and you can’t sleep? send her a stupid jokes. She will love it and will probably burst into laughter the moment she sees you the next day because she remembers just how AWFUL that joke was.

-What she looks for in a partner-

Physically- Sachiko is secretly kinda vain and appreciates it when people put an effort into their appearance. She’s undecided as far as sexuality goes.

Emotionally- She really likes people with a good or very dry sense of humor. Honestly just whomever can make her laugh the most- intentionally or unintentionally. Sassy replies to flirtation attempts? nice. Loud sputtering and an angry/flustered face? nice. Sachiko is also very much attracted to intelligent people.

-What she needs in a partner-

- Sachiko needs someone that balances and supports her. She’s got a lot of skill and feels pressured to succeed. Her partner will need to be able to tell her “no, you can’t do everything and I’m here to help you.” They will need to be either just as stubborn as she is or care so much that they are able to try and stop her despite their inhibitions.

-What to expect as her partner-

Pros- She is tall and strong and get things off shelves for you. Have you seen Sachiko??? She’s very cute. She has a near endless supply of snacks and compliments. You’ll never have to open another door.

Cons- She is so needy and thrives on attention. “Sachiko take your hand out of my jean pockets we are in public.” Good luck getting her to admit she was wrong.

Neutral- How many pet names are too many pet names?? You will have so many pet names. Sometimes she acts more like a mom that a gf/wife. “You forgot your coat so I brought one for you.”

Depends on who she’s with honestly :o

With acquaintances its just normal, tame flirting and teasing since she doesn’t want whomever she’s with to take her TOO serious or feel uncomfortable. 90% is honestly nice comments and REALLY AWFUL pick-up-lines that she knows are REALLY AWFUL and hilarious.

As for people she’s friends with, it depends on the person and how close they are. like if you’ve known her for a long time and contact doesn’t bother you she might kiss your cheek and slap your behind- AGAIN IF THE PERSON IS OKAY WITH IT LOL SHE KNOWS WHEN TO QUIT. for people she’s not as close with its more verbal like “ur ass looks real fine in those jeans”

The same kinda touch/no touch thing applies to romantic partners too- Sachiko is a very physical/ touchy feely person that just kinda likes to absent mindedly touch her partners hands/legs/arms/face/etc. If her partner is uncomfortable with touch she’ll always try to ask for permission or apologize if she accidentally goes too far. Honestly her flirty comments kinda mellow out into heartfelt compliments and just REALLY MUSHY junk.

Sachiko is the ultimate gf honestly. need her to carry your books? on it. shelf too high? she’s 5′9″ she’s got u bby.
