I had to do some research to answer this ask and omg??? Belarus and Poland’s relationship is so multifaceted and gOOD?? like I didn't know about this at all which is also why I love this blog cause I can look into histories and cultures that I don't know as well as I wish I did! So thank you for all these amazing asks! and yeah Poland and Belarus are so pure and interesting I love them

( oKAY SO TIME FOR ONE OF MY HETALIA HEADCANONS

So basically my hc is that countries aren't exactly ‘related’ to each other, instead, they can form”familial links” which means they start looking more similar to each other and just have a more family-like bond? For me, it would make sense in terms of ships like usuk (though I don't ship it myself), cause then basically the familial link can break after a time if not tended to and then the countries are no longer related so shipping doesn't get... awkward? idk it's just a hc I like to have and play around with! Through this familial link countries also gain certain features that make them similar to each other (Russias hair becoming lighter after he becomes the brother of Ukraine and Belarus for example). It's a fun concept to play around with, and especially in terms of a legend that I learned about! 

The Legend of Lech, Czech, and Rus goes like this: three brothers, Lech Czech and Rus, went on a hunting trip, followed different prey and thus traveled (and settled) in different directions; Lech in the north, Czech in the west, and Rus in the East, forming Poland, the Czech Republic, and Russia respectively.

I just find this legend super interesting?? ESPECIALLY in terms of Hetalia but I never hear anyone talk about it?? idk, I find it fun lmao and its works with my headcanon about familial links sooo I love it!
