J was rather surprised at Yuki’s sudden appearance, taking a step or two back. Needless to say, Yuki had always frightened him, and he always made an effort to avoid her and her family. That was, in a desperate attempt to save his own wealth, had loaned money from Yuki’s father and hadn’t done anything to pay him back in a while.

“..R-Right! I’ll make sure to pay you back after class!” J forced a very slight smile, pretty bothered by Yuki’s threatening words.

Yuki stepped a bit closer to him, flashing him a sharp-toothed grin.

“You better~” She said in a singsong voice that sounded almost innocent, though J most definitely knew it was very far from it.

J’s forced smile become more plastic by the second, faltering ever so slightly over time. He wasn’t even sure how much money he had on him at the time, so today could have many different outcomes. How unfortunate for J. Especially since he was paying back someone like Yuki.

“I promise.” It took a lot to stop his words from stuttering as he spoke.  He had to admit that he was a little intimidated after she had gotten closer.

“Well, I did..” J huffed, closing his eyes for a moment as he adjusted his glasses.

“But then she went to jail for a long time because she got accused of murder, came back because of lack of evidence when we were all at the beach, and then she got a boyfriend during the prom..” J laughed a little, sounding a bit awkward. “But I guess that’s..life?”
