Kitty Spy is a genetic experiment gone unwanted by Mann Co. CEO Saxton Hale and she was left on the corner of the sidewalk in a box as a baby. However, after an unknown childhood she was quickly picked up to be put through Spy training for assignment in New Mexico once she was old enough and 'good' enough at her chosen-for-her profession.

Kitty's knowledge on her origin is hazy and she doesn't know exactly the circumstances of her creation, just that she's not 'natural'.

About/Rules:

Mun is 30+ years old, with 10+ years of roleplay experience on and off of Tumblr. There will be no NSFW content on this blog - this is not a Furry kink blog and will be played pretty straight. References however are allowed, but Kitty has no sex life. There will be tags for TF2-typical violence as that is something I'll play. I will not play with players under the age of 18 (it's very helpful if you put that you're over 18 in your bio, as I read those).

I do not format posts (small texts, indentations, varying bold and italics, etc.). However, my partner is more than welcome to format. I do trim posts - usually about every 3-5 replies (including from both sides). I currently do not have icons for this character. I prefer paragraph/prose style writing, but can write dialogue/stage directions without issue.

This blog is considered multiverse. I am very okay with playing with multiples of the same muse - I don’t like to play favorites and I know that experiences with different writers can be enriching in different ways. I also like to see how different writers interpret certain characters. OCs are VERY welcome!

I have only one ship in mind for Kitty, but the nature of that ship will not be revealed (it's to another OC of mine) for a very long time. So at this point, there will be no shipping with Kitty, but crushes on her are allowed.

No god-modding or pushing me into writing sexual content. I like communication about violence toward my character, meaning I'd like to talk about it and approve it first.

Will add more rules as I come up with them lol.

He awkwardly replies, wondering if him being blunt was mean even if that's not his intentions at all.

"Oh uh probably in her garage if she's not in her room. Though if I go there I will give a heads up that she has her own off brand security.'

Hope the cat lady likes robots.

"S'okay," Kat murmured awkwardly, reaching up to smooth her whiskers against her cheek. "I'm okay. I just... don't want to feel like I was a complete waste of time and money, you know?" Kat's ears flipped up again and she smiled at Toffee. "Well, let's go say hi! Uh, you first, if you're alright with that."

"As messed up as it sounds fer me ta say this, yeah- experiments cost a lotta cash. One of our teammates is a clone and another is an experiment or something, they all were not cheap but kinda messed up that we're based on cash value than anything else."

Toffee rambles, huffing as the Engineer is not in this room and moves further on. Pauses to shrug.

"Dunno. I'm not a spy."

Kat's ears airplaned, feeling a little embarrassed. Yeah, she should have guessed a scout and a spy weren't comparable at all, despite both being staple classes apparently. "So... where's your Engineer then?" she asked, trying to keep her tone curious as they moved through the structure.

On the day that Saxton Hale became the CEO of Mann Co., his scientists worked hard to make him a creature as a welcoming present - an unholy combination of human intellect and raw animal strength. They presented the creature in a simple cat carrier, where Saxton only saw a small cub of a mountain lion with opposable thumbs. As it was only a cub, Mr Hale couldn't see himself fighting the creature, and he threatened to fire the scientists on the spot.

The scientists kept their jobs, but the cub was left in a cardboard box labeled 'Free Kitten' on the corner of a nondescript street somewhere in the United States.

Kat was eventually picked up by the BLU team and was given a job as a Spy. She… tries her best.

Kelly is the RED Soldier, happily taking the position after struggling to keep a job for years. He takes lots of pride in his position, and loves the thrill of battle. PTSD has led to him having a shaky mental state, often having angry outbursts over small issues. Despite that, he is usually nice enough, and values his friendships with his teammates.

"I want treats. What are good treats for cats? It's Halloween - I wanna be involved in the fun stuff, not just the Merasmus stuff!"

"Ooooh. Ya right. But those phrases are confusing. Either way you are missing."

Words are still such a pain to say right. Whoops. Blink blonks his mismatched eyes. Peering into a random room in the search for his engie.

"Of course! She bought me from a uhhh selective breeder? Controlled breeder I think? Meh I can't remember tiny details. But because I am human I can get a job and get paid. It's the last I can do for everything she's done for me. I wasn' exactly a cheap cat to care for."

Kat's ears airplaned in thought. "Well... I think I was expensive..." she murmured. "I mean, I don't remember it, but... I must've cost a lot of money to make right? I don't know though - they didn't keep me. My earliest memories were sitting in a cardboard box in the rain."

She didn't know the context unfortunately. Her memory from her younger years were fuzzy (ha! Cat pun!).

"But at least the Spy training had to have been invaluable... right??" She sounded unsure when she said that, knowing full well she wasn't that good at her job. But Socks didn't need to know that, did he?

"Huh maybe. Or if you have the number of the head lady maybe you can get a transfer and let them know you are not MIA.. I think I used the term right?"

Hums to himself and scratches his chin before turning back to the female feline.

"Hmn? Oh yeah I have an owner. A witch I should say, she's the only reason I have a human form and have "proper" sentience."

"I think AWOL might be more accurate, because I'm not missing - I just don't know where I am, exactly." But really, Kat wasn't sure which term to use. Either or, she was not where she was supposed to be.

Kat looked at Socks again, still frowning.

"Has... she always been your owner? Do you get paid for being a Scout, at least?"

Kat did. Could she use the money? Not exactly - people didn't really expect someone with a tail to walk into a store. Clark had to buy her books and things to try to read. But she did get paid enough to give him the money for them.

He enters in after her, peeking up at the mentioning of magic.

"I can't really do magic much myself, but my owner can. It's the only reason I'm chatting with you like this."

Pauses, glancing around as if he forgot something.

'Uuuh.... Where did you need to go again,?"

Kat chirped and looked back at Socks. "I wanted to get back to our battlefield," she said. "I'm not sure where that is in relation to here, but I'll bet if we check the transporter history, maybe we can pinpoint it?"

She then frowned slightly. "So... 'owner'?" she asked, unsure of the term.

"Never have I so far. Like I said, only by smell I've noticed."

He replies, coming up on the front entrance to BLU, letting her in first.

"I think half the battlefield would be in panic? Or at least something similar to Halloween month."

Kat nodded in thanks to the other cat and went inside.

"Well, I suppose you're right," she said. "I don't know anything about dragons. Nor magic - I don't know much about that either." She grinned with all her sharp teeth showing.

((man, i need to get on those lore comics. I wanna drop some in a thread so bad, but i need to actually friggin' draw the comics! Like, the intro comic and then the Red Sniper thing I had in mind that would be PERFECT for Halloween, but I just won't have time ;w;

Must be really odd to wake up as an animal and realize you could do human things. It was sort of like that for himself but he had a human form and grew a bit before it happened.

"Huh? Aaaaah I dunno man. I heard RED has a dragon dude on their team so I doubt yer are the scariest thing to road around here. Wish I was jokin by the way., I could SMELL em"

Kat shrugged. She didn't know the specifics - it wasn't like she remembered what it was like being a baby. She could only assume from the snippets of her child and toddlerhood.

She looked at Socks curiously. "I've never seen a dragon!" she said, a little excited but also a little concerned. "Is that what that weird smell is? Was it battling today?"

He parrots, obviously surprised at the sudden question, enough that Toffee chooses to walk backwards for a moment. Not like there's anything he could run into at the moment. Maybe trip but he could catch himself.

"Oh that. I'm not a splice like some of our teammates are. I'm just a Bengal that got magic-ed into a human with sentience. That's why I look pretty normal right now."

"Ah, I see," Kat said with a friendly smile. "I guess I'm more like your teammates... except I'm not so much 'spliced' as I was born this way. I remember being a little cub and everything... just with opposable thumbs."

Kat's smile then disappeared for a moment.

"I won't concern anybody, will I?" she asked. "I mean - I know that I'm part Big Cat. I don't know scientific terms or anything, but I know I'm kind of... a dangerous breed, if that makes sense. Everyone will be okay with me, right?"
