For all the people starting League of Legends because of KDA:

1. Don’t activate /all chat.

2. Play with your friends as often as you can at early levels.

3. Fully play through the tutorial. (It helps a lot, and gives you a bunch of XP upon completion.)

4. Do not speak in chat, unless you can already see if your teammates are chill.

5. Do not go into ranked the moment you hit Lvl. 30, in fact, if you’re just in it for the fun don’t worry about ranked. (I was banned for just not being good in one game)

6. Just have fun, it took me nearly 90 levels but I found the champion I loved playing and was good at. (It’s Pyke, I love that harpoon wielding water ghost man.)

7. Games take a while, anywhere between 15 minutes to over an hour. If you start a game, you have to commit. There’s no backfill system, so if you leave, your team is down a player the rest of match.

I hope this was helpful, I’m just assuming a lot of people are suddenly downloading League. There’s a lot more to say but I’m sick and can’t think properly. That music video was next level dope.

Alright, so WHILE I’m totally down with people being chill and playing with friends and whatnot (I have pretty bad ladder anxiety when it comes to climbing in any game with a competitive rank), I don’t think you should falsely spread misinformation. I wanted to address and call out the “I was banned for being bad in one game” because, if it’s not a cute joke or exaggeration then I’d like to talk about that. There are ways to tell if someone is intentionally feeding in a game through the graph and whatnot. You don’t get banned for “being bad” because where the hell would like 80% of the player base be if that happened (joke)? There’s absolutely no way that happened. I’ve had plenty of bad games in ranked, and all it did was hurt my pride. The only way you get banned through playing the game is if you’re toxic. And even then, you need multiple reports from different games for that to happen. AS FOR THE REST OF THIS, it’s pretty solid advice. I hope y’all enjoy the game too.
