I know itâs not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
reblog if attacking fascism is really the hill you want to die on
this is literally like one of the most justified and honorable hills you could die on??? lol??
Quick someone reply with the gifâ˘ď¸
Always reblog this if you are cool
Punk is whatever the state fucking hates so I'm sorry to announce to the functionally conservative but contemporary punk isn't leather jackets and punk rock from the 2000s, it's hyperfemininity, it's transsexualism, it's kinky leather harnesses, it's polyamory, it's Black female rappers, it's reading books from the library, it's pirating media, it's sharing your Netflix and Prime and Spotify passwords, it's patching up your thrifted clothes with cute embroidery until they're in tatters, it's "borrowing" groceries from corporations that make up inflation that doesn't exist, it's supporting small weird freaky artists on Etsy instead of buying the newest Officialâ˘ď¸ boring low effort promotional image enamel pins, it's drawing and writing the raunchiest most disgusting and freaky porn you could possibly fathom, it's showing off your tits or top surgery scars in public, it's cis women packing and cis men tucking, it's dykefags and fagdykes and boylesbians and girlgays, it's paying for OnlyFans of trans people fisting themselves, it's making up new genders and sexualities and romantic orientations and editing whole new flags for them, it's refusing to label yourself for the gratification of a government that wants to know under what misspelled drafty legislation they should legally kill you
Punk is being/supporting whatever the state currently fucking despises and wants to burn off the face of the earth, not whatever you think is Punk Aesthetic. If you wanna be punk just to look like you were born in the 80s instead of actually BEING PUNK by supporting the degenerates and the freaks and the sex workers and the BIPOC and the transsexuals and the faggots and the dykes, burn your fucking $800 corp bought leather jacket because you're not Hobie Brown you're just a fucking poser.
Punk is fighting the system beside the ones the system is fighting against, Punk isn't a Pinterest moodboard.
REblog if you are Asexual, support Asexuals, or spend most of your time actually thinking about Superheroes.

Autumnal
âAn old god comes.â
âWhat? No. Thatâs just a cold front. Itâs Autumn.â
âYes, one of the oldest gods of all.â
Isekai with male protags: "I was a loser on earth but now I'm super fucking strong and gettin mad bitches"
Isekai with female protags:
Reincarnated princess uses earth knowledge to make magitech a thing and romances sad girl
Girl romantically pursues her video game waifu
Girl is tasked to teach actual fucking gods to be more empathetic to humans
Woman reincarnated as the daughter of a magic item crafter uses earth knowledge to advance her trade
"Straight" girl is sucked into a world with zero men and lesbians everywhere and finds out she's sapphic (there's like actual plot but the gay is what matters.... to me)
A ghibli film. Need I say more
Woman reincarnated in video game as doomed villainess desperately tries to change her story
Girl reincarnated as a tiny baby spider kills monsters to level up
Like the male protag one but the lame guy's mom got isekaid with him and she's the op one.
Two normal girls fight urban legends in terrifying danger dimension
Right, should have thought of that.
In order:
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (Light novel, manga, an anime has also just barely started)
I'm in Love With the Villainess (Light novel, manga, an anime has been announced)
Kamigami No Asobi (Anime, manga and visual novel)
Magic Artisan Dahlia Wilts No More (Manga)
The Whole of Humanity Has Gone Yuri Except for Me (manga)
Spirited Away (anime movie)
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (Light novel, manga, anime,)
So I'm a Spider So What (Light novel, manga, anime)
Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? (Light novel, manga, anime)
Otherside Picnic (Light novels, manga, anime)
I'm annoyed by what SAO did to isekai again so here's some more
Girl in fantasy world responsible for executing dangerous isekaid kids falls in love with an isekaid girl who cannot die (The Executioner and Her Way of Life)
Girl who has never played a video game before builds a terrible character in full-dive VR game but accidentally exploits game loopholes to become unstoppable (Bofuri)
Fucking Inuyasha
Adorable bookworm is reincarnated as a commoner in a world where books are extremely rare and decides to make books accessible for everyone (Ascendance of a Bookworm)
If you'd consider Korean isekai, there's even more variety!
This chart is several years old and I've been in and out of the girlsekai community so I don't have the freshest recs, but some others:
What if you isekaied. What if you kept isekaing. What if you kept isekaiing the same exact year, as the same exact person, trapped in the same plot that would murder you (often brutally) on the exact same day? At some point you'd have to become a serial killer, right? Resetting Lady = Finally someone makes a girlsekai horror story
What if (the above) except it was a silly comedy? If You Lay A Hand On My Brother, You're All Dead
Some moony-eyed girl keeps dying during a zombie apocalypse and initially thinks it's some divine test of her devotion to her man. Except honestly. Is he worth this. Do I know this guy enough to warrant the trauma I've woken up to a thousand times. Survive Romance is shockingly more about friendship than anything
The first few chapters of My Mom Entered a Contract Marriage - you are the abused daughter of a fallen villainess - once the hottest royal bitch in the kingdom, she's now a commoner, an alcoholic, and extremely bitter. One day she wakes you up, screaming that she's burning. She's shocked you're alive, sobbing and begging your forgiveness. Tbh this is one that's more fun if you've read a lot of princess isekais, because fans will totally pick up on what happened, but her child cannot. Visual treat, I stopped reading because I don't trust artists like this to last long. But what a starter it was!
The Holy Grail of Eris - we need more Scarlet Castiels. Look at me when I talk to you, I don't care if you don't like me type princess. If only she could possess us all

They really don't. They grew up on tablets and phones and other closed systems that are completely different and much more simplified then a personal computer. They don't have the knowledge because it wasn't taught to them and they never used it in day to day life.
I work in tech support and I can back this up with personal experience; they're as bad as boomers are only instead of not understanding tech at all, they refuse to learn or dig into the tech. They can use it but they don't have the curiosity to understand it. And when tech breaks, they don't have the know-how to fix it on their own or to even look for how to fix it (a task made all the harder by the enshitification of the internet and AI articles that litter search results)
They consistently act surprised when 'turn it off and back on again' actually works because that's become a meme and not understood to be a valid first troubleshooting step.
The blame lies with the big tech companies, and how strongly they've pushed hardware and software that has been designed to be obtuse at best.
That last part is important, because killing tech literacy has been an explicit goal for electronics manufacturers for 20 years now.
Apple found that if you create a walled and impervious garden where the company can control all aspects of how the technology works, you can nickel-and-dime the customer for unspeakable billions of dollars, and if you make your devices literally impossible to repair for the layman and charge an obscene premium at your own vertically integrated specialized repair stores, then you can either make bank off people insisting on repairing their broken devices, or you can incentivize them to replace and replace and replace, to get used to buying an entirely new phone every 12-14 months. They started doing that long before the iPhone, but the proliferation of smart devices kickstarted the avalanche.
And there's MONEY in that, baby, so the entire electronics industry immediately rushed to follow. That's WHY your fridge and your lightbulb and your washing machine and your car comes with a smart app and an integrated processing unit with proprietary firmware now. It allows the companies to absolutely butcher to death the concept of independent repair, and allows them to shepherd the customer away from ever engaging with their own devices, away from understanding their inner workings, away from modifying or adapting them, and towards paying a premium for every single function they would like to have access to.
You know how some car manufacturers have started trying to sell subscriptions to unlock the heating in their car seats?
Yeah.
Zoomers and Alphas aren't stupid, they've just grown up in a technological environment where there very often quite literally isn't a point to engaging with tech beyond the surface level, because the companies have built walled gardens, and set up bear traps for anyone who tries to venture beyond them.
And it's not like our educations systems have done jack shit to try and keep up or teach tech literacy, so literally how are these kids supposed to have learned?

My take on how the Barbarian tribe from BotW and the Zuna from FSA might have looked like. Its a shame we never got to see much of them.

Good DM Dan.
The fact that this has almost 200 notes is ridiculousâŚ
Good DM Dan - four years and 55,000 notes later!
I made this image macro meme back in 2012.Â
Hereâs the original image. Thatâs me running 4e D&D Encounters. I used to have a really amateur web series for it. Some of it is pretty good. Some of it is ridiculous.
I have done all of the above things in the meme in real life. Multiple times even. Some of these things are good practices, someone of them are kinda questionable now that I have four more years of DM experience. Letâs run through them:
1. âGame starts at 6pm. Sets up an hour earlyâ
This is still decent advice. Game prep is important, especially when youâre running public play pre-written adventures. As a grown ass adult though, I recognize that an extra hour of free time beforehand can be tough to come by.
2. âLends dice and minis. âFirst time playing? No, you keep âemââ
Over the two years of playing D&D Encounters, I probably gave away about $200 CAD worth of dice and minis. It put a dent in my wallet, sure, but knowing that a lot of those first timers are still playing (and running) TRPGs today makes me really happy.Â
3. â âI should get a bonus to sneaking because I put sponges on my feetâ Seems legitâ
Yeah. Seems legit. Good DM advice: reward player creativity and solving problems using their human imaginations, instead of always falling back on the rules/mechanics of the game.
4. âPlayer spills Coke on irreplaceable homemade map. âNo problem, letâs say thatâs a new lakeââ
This has happened multiple times. It sucks. Iâm pretty chill tho, so long as people apologize and clean up the mess.Â
5. âPlayer fails final death save. âPretty sure thatâs jack diceââ
This is bad advice.Â
Itâs bad because player character death is an important aspect of the game. No character, or person, is immune to death by random chance. Fudging die rolls when it comes to character death is something Iâm against. Characters die. It sucks, but it happens.Â
That said, and this is my marshmallow DM side coming out, maybe every player gets a death mulligan. One, and only one per campaign. CuzâŚyâknowâŚdying sucks. Â
6. âPlayers skip over all the plot points and hooks. Isnât botheredâ
If your game is ultimately about a story that you, the dungeon master, want to tell, itâs probably a shitty game.Â
Players, and by extension their characters, have free will and can do whatever they want. This often means theyâll dick around and ignore your carefully constructed plot. Or worse still, theyâll throw a wrench into your plans and totally change or ruin your carefully constructed plot.Â
Thatâs ultimately not a bad thing. I feel like D&D isnât a game about the DM telling stories, itâs about the group coming away from the table with a story. And that story is likely not going to be like anything you had planned.Â
So donât sweat it. If players donât take the bait, then the world keeps moving on without their influence, and now they need to contend with what happens after.Â
On the off chance that you are bothered, TALK TO YOUR PLAYERS ABOUT IT! Actually tell them âHey, it kinda sucks for me that you keep ignoring the adventure hooks I give youâ. Chances are theyâll start following along. If not, find new players. Lifeâs too short.Â
7. âAll players want to do is shop. Lets themâ
Spending gold is an important aspect of the game. Otherwise why else give the PCâs treasure (aside from XP)?
If you find this boring, or you donât feel involved, turn it into an aspect of play. Actually have the players interact with NPC shopkeepers, who have their own quirks, stats, and problems. This way, sometimes going shopping can be a place to pick up adventure hooks, and other times the act of bargaining with a shopkeeper is like a verbal combat encounter.Â
Gamify that shit.
I hope this helps. When in doubt, ask yourself âWhat would Good DM Dan do?â
The best Halo clip Iâve ever seen
fuckin legendary
this is the guy who wrote the navy seal copypasta
She looks so surprised. Now Iâm sad. :(
Maybe she is the titular stray? I was starting to think it was going to be the monkey guy.
Weiss looks like she believes that if she blinks sheâll be the next to die.Â
Of course Ruby was going to say that, sheâs too pure for that world. And now sheâs going to get assimilated by the Borg.
ALSO
I was looking through some of my old folders today and I was pretty mystified by how much of a difference a few years can make.
Popped some of âem up here for comparisonâs sake anyhow since it seemed like it could be a bit of positivity for anybody who might be feeling a lil low regarding their own work. Even a little bit of perseverance can make your art so much better; Keep at it!
