WELCOME TO THE BLOG!

Heya! Tails here! I'm finally starting one of these blogs, since Sonic won't stop bothering me about it.

(Yes, Sonic. I'll send you the link. Now hush.)

Anyways, welcome! I... don't really know why he wanted me to make one so bad? Apparently it's really fun to interact with you guys, so I figured I'd give it a try! I'll do my best to answer your questions! If you've ever wondered about one of my gadgets or anything, feel free to ask!

-Rules-

Absolutely NO NSFW at all. Not only do I not want to see that (plus possible minor interactions), if we're staying in character, Tails is a minor. So just... don't.

No hate/discrimination! Hate towards any groups based on sexuality, race, gender, etc. will not be tolerated. Your ask will be deleted.

If you're going to be mean with the ask, please clarify that you're doing it specifically for the plot. I will take criticism straight to the heart (we're working on that) but just. In general be nice!!

Try to limit violence, but angst is fine! For the most part though, I want this to be a fun, happy blog!

Feel free to mention other characters! I'll specify in the tags who is who, as I will be using text colors to differentiate.

I won't be answering asks during the weekends. Not that I don't enjoy this, but I do need to take breaks every once in a while. Absolutely still send asks, just know they won't be answered until the week starts!!

-Other Important Info-

-The characters are aged up a few years, but not all are adults. For example, Tails is roughly 15 in this little AU, and Sonic/Shadow/Amy/the majority of the cast are in their mid-twenties.

-This is a game-universe thing. If you ask about the movies/shows, they aren't gonna know what you're talking about.

-I... haven't played many of the games. I'll try to be as lore-accurate as possible, but if I get something wrong, please don't hesitate to correct me! Just be respectful, please lol.

-Regarding anon events (bodyswap, gender switch, etc)!! I want to keep this blog fairly angst free, so things that might cause any of the characters distress may or may not happen. In other words, I can choose to do or not to do events at my discretion.

-I’m also a college student plus an avid fanfiction writer, so asks may take some time to be answered! Please be patient if I haven’t answered for a few days!

*Tails hears some oat milk and pours the chocolate powder in, then stirs it.*

Yum!!! I can taste the mint. Hm, I wonder if a drop of mint extract would make it better…

*Tails is now taller than Sonic, and Sonic is much smaller. He looks indignant, and his voice is higher-pitched. Tails, on the other hand, now has a lower-pitched voice.*

*Tails shuts Sonic’s bedroom door and giggles. All of this is in good fun, of course.*

Hey Sonic, what do you think would happen to Tails if he did ever get to go "Were-Fox"? You lose a lot of your mobility and gain a lot of power, but what about Tails? He relies mostly on his gadgets, so I don't really have a basis on what would happen to him.

I mean, he’d probably get a whole lot fluffier, that’s for sure. He might even get to experience being taller than me for once!

Ha, ha. I doubt I’d be able to fly, but if I get super strength, I might not need to fly.

True! I didn’t really need to be fast, ‘cause nothing could hurt me!

i'm going to prank tails *sends tails a tiny Earth hedgehog that is a bluish gray* oh no! look what eggman did to sonic!

Oh, Chaos, uhhh.... Sonic? What happened?

*The Earth hedgehog scurries away from Tails, and he chases it. After a few minutes of this, he manages to catch it.*

Stop squirming, Sonic, I've got you. Um... let me look in my lab to see if I have anything that can change you back.

*As Tails is digging through his box of gadgets (and keeping an eye on the Earth hedgehog, who keeps trying to escape), Sonic peeks into the workshop.*

Aw, look at the little guy! What's your name, lil' dude?

I- what- Sonic?!

*Sonic is cuddling the little hedgehog to his chest, who seems quite content.*

Tails are you ready for the stores to be filled with an abundance of mint flavored everything? I'm personally excited for all the mint marshmallows.

YES!! I've been waiting alllll year for this. Sonic and I are going to get groceries later, so I'll pick out a few boxes of candy canes then.

*Takes away Sonic's speed and gives it to Tails and gives Sonic the power to fly* Power swap!

[this is going to last for this ask only, because I'm already bad enough at answering things lol. Also the image of Sonic's tail spinning is soooo funny for no reason]

Woah!! Sonic, look-

*Tails zooms away, breaking the sound barrier with a loud boom. He returns a moment later, looking exhilarated. Meanwhile, Sonic's little hedgehog tail is furiously spinning, and manages to lift him off the ground.*

This is cool, Tails! Thanks, anon! It's kinda nice to see things from a different perspective.

*Tails leaps and grabs Sonic's hands, and they fly around a little bit.*

How... how do you... *huff* carry me- for so long... *huff*

How did you learn to fly a plane at nine years old?

I didn't have much else to do with my time. The village I lived in before Sonic adopted me was small, and I was... kind of the outcast. I taught myself mechanics, and planes just kind of made sense, I guess?

And now I get to use those skills to help Sonic when Eggman tries to take over! So it's all worth it!

Nothing wrong with being afraid of lightning, Tails. Blaze is afraid of heights despite her maturity and responsibilities, for example. Just means you need to work a little harder to get around it, so never give up trying!

Speaking of Blaze, when was the last time you saw her? I feel like you two share some similar vibes.

I know, it can just be frustrating at times, y'know? I'm old enough now to know how to keep myself from panicking too badly, like listening to music or watching a movie!

I think the last time I saw Blaze was at one of Amy's house parties! She was helping Amy crochet something for Cream's birthday, while also keeping Sonic out of trouble. He kept knocking things over.

Do you still keep in touch with Trip?

Not too much, no. She's great, but as far as I know, she's off doing her own thing now! I think she got a job with the Chaotix, actually! Charmy told me she helps out around the office, since Vector never remembers to clean...

*gifts tails the keys to a large get-away cabin with directions to the mountain it's located on* here you go if you guys ever want to take a vacation somewhere cozy for the winter season, there's room for everyone and it may or may not be decorated!

Woah, thanks! I'll definitely keep these on hand. Maybe once it snows for real, I can get everyone and go up there for a few days! If Apotos doesn't work out, this cabin sounds like it could be a lot of fun, too!

*Teleports a chest full of gems into Tails' workshop* Hey Tails mind watching over these for me? Don't worry these are not stolen and totally don't belong to Rouge, and if she comes around asking for them, she's lying.

*Not even 5 minutes passes before Rouge comes barging in. Shadow is following, though he looks like he'd rather be set on fire than be here.*

Tails, sweetie, did someone come by earlier with some gems?

No...?

You're lying, fox.

*Rouge bats (haha get it) her eyelids innocently. Tails sighs and hands the chest back over to her.*

Well, Sonic and I were talking about going to Apotos for Christmas... it would be nice if we didn't have to fly!

Do thunderstorm still scare you?

Honestly, yeah. It's kind of frustrating, because I'm older now... but something about them is just terrifying to me. I can handle them, but it's rough when it storms.

I thought that if I knew everything about thunder and lightning and could understand it, I wouldn't be afraid, anymore. Guess not, but that's a phobia for you!

[fun fact of the day the phobia of thunder/lightning is call astraphobia!]
