I like the idea that the other limbs could be more like mage hand or magic that turns into extra spider legs to be able to increase her agility and stick to walls.

Not dead, just super busy. Though this ship and au still lives rent free in my head.

I really want Dust's jacket... think giving him chest plate and a new winter jacket would work well given how his story is getting mixed with underswap's.

Dust realized lvl alone wasn't enough to discourage the countless genocides. So after a reset he throws himself into guard training to gain a more robust understanding of combat tactics and learn more attack types. Studies extensively under those who remain from the human/monster war and how to combat human magic.

Speaking of Blue, he kills the underground as an act of kindness. Each time Stretch has to be the first to die since he would try to stop him... Blue was never suppose to remember the resets, but he's now convinced this is the only kindness he can give those he loves. That's all I got atm

Will I write more about them, yeah, probably when I have a chance/focus.

Because the timeline is a hot mess in my au, what if Asriel became Chara and Frisk’s dad in the future? Which is more or less how I’m gonna drag the rest of the multiverse in…because inflicting emotions is a great motivator for plot lines

Yeah, so I have figured out how to incorporate the remixed utmv into retale.

Anyway, I have all of retale plotted out and I SHOULD be writing it... but damn limited time and short attention span really are working against me.

Remix au still living rent free in my head... Especially Reaper

I'm taking A LOT of liberties, especially with Dream and Nightmare. I know they are the guardians of positive and negative emotions, and that could be construed to mean "positive = happy" or " negative = sad" but that's kinda vague. So, I'm looking at negative emotions to be emotional extreme that results in harm while positive emotions are appropriate feelings at a level that is appropriate for the situation and does not ultimately result in harm to the person.

Anyway.... possible background lore

Nightmare decided to make a deal with Ink. He needed the excess of emotions to survive, but he himself could not create situations where those emotions would be formed. However, Ink was able to directly interfere and inspire. The artist could influence how the worlds unfolds. The ability to absorb excess emotions of the worlds inhabitants for the ability to directly inspire or interfere seemed like a fair trade. Ink would no longer be reliant upon the creators whims or fear his paint would run dry. Nightmare already knew what can cause emotions to run out of control, and now he can ensure those conflicts would occur. The deal was struck and the corruption and ink fused before being distributed between the two beings.

The deal between Dream and Error was unexpected. Error's inception was what broke his sanity. He was suppose to be a destroyer of worlds, releasing the magic of the aus that had stagnated or concluded so it could be reused. But his hatred blinded him to the true nature of the destruction, so he destroyed anything he deemed a glitch or anomaly on a whim. Dream and Error's paths only crossed because Dream sustained himself on emotional equilibrium and Error often disrupt this balance. At some point Dream realized that Error could manipulate codes and was in direct contact with creators... Perhaps he did not have to maintain emotional equilibrium alone and an idea formed. Dream proposed a deal, a piece of his soul could help stabilize Error's madness and sooth his wild emotions for the ability to manipulate codes...

When Error finally agreed to the exchange, everything seemed to be getting better. Error used his connection to the creators and ability to read code helped bring stability to more worlds, faster than Dream could ever accomplish. However, all things must return to an equilibrium. Dream began to experience an unexplainable push. An urge... A rabid compulsion to end aus. After all, ending a world, a story, prevented the possibility of harm or change. TLDR - Error, Ink, Nightmare and Dream more or less swap roles in pursuit of their original goals.... But in a fun twist. I'd probably say Nightmare is the god of conflict. Conflict pushes the stories to continue since it is what drives a story and the characters emotion. Ink is the guardian of emotions, harnessing the extreme emotions to create his ink, which offers reprieve to those suffering from the extremes of their emotions. Dream is the god of endings, since he's manipulating code to create resolutions and "happy" endings. Those resolutions result in a conclusions and then he is compelled to completely destroy the au. Error becomes the guardian of stories, probably after coming to terms with the actions he took while suffering from his madness. He helps the creators cope and explore their emotions talking to them about all the different possible things they can explore. Though I bet he's probably still a man child while offering his thoughts.

I also don't know what error looks like yet.

Still not sure if my remix au fits with retale on a whole, but damn is it also fun world building it when I'm also world building Retale.

In this scenario Nightmare and Ink made a deal while Error and Dream made one. Which honestly makes me wonder how the corruption would be impacted.

Well, she probably will get a different outfit, but I'm satisfied with her colours and luminescent markings... May decide she gets red spears to match her markings.

Anyway -- a little bit about Reaper and Fresh in the Remix utmv au since they live rent free in my head

As an eldritch parasite, Fresh always worried about finding his next host and meal, but things can always change. Eventually cults were dedicated to him and he now had his choice of hosts.  However, at some point the zealous belief of his power over death elevated him from just a mere parasite into godhood. But with the increase in power and the old god's fading power, it meant his responsibilities to the greater universe’s population grew. Now he acts as the harbinger of death.

Gods are often long forgotten and with that, they loose their power and eventually their life. Reaper was one of the last gods to fade from the population’s collective memory. But his power over souls allowed him a chance to cling on.  His form corrupted and power dwindling meant he was no longer a god. He was now a parasite, sustaining his own life with souls he reaped.

I'm not sure if I want to include my remix au into retale's greater multiverse or not. I have a lot of notes scattered about regarding how stories are getting influenced. It depends I guess on if I want Retale to be the classic timeline or a copy of the classic timeline.

I don't watch helluva boss, but YouTube recommended their song Klown Bitch, and gotta say. I really dug the whole fin hair and I think that actually looks fantastic on Undyne instead of giving her more normal hair. Still gotta figure out what I want with barbarian styled armor.

Also, an update. I started work and injured my wrist... so I've been thinking about maybe changing over to writing retale as a fic over a comic. I also have been thinking about possibly incorporating my remix au into the greater universe but that still remains to be seen.
