Nines raised a brow at the comment, tilting his head in mild confusion.

"...I know..? His name is Gavin Reed.."

"Why not..?" The android tilted his head slightly, looking up at the other with an almost dark glint in his eyes. "Deviant behaviour is situation based.. and as a higher model, my ability to take command and follow orders are unparalleled.. so..." He trailed off for a moment, making direct eye contact without blinking, though his LED was flickering yellow the entire time he didn't falter. A slight tone was added to his next words, still not breaking the eye contact as he took to one knee.

"Awaiting command..."

The RK900 rolled his eyes as he heard the vitriol thrown at him from across the hallway. It was early in the morning, so he could only assume that this was anger for no real reason other than Detective Reed being overly tired and hadn't slept well. So he thought that perhaps a joke would lighten the mood for everyone coming into work early.

"Alright.. would you like a coffee first or should I disable the cameras in the interrogation room?"

Every time Gavin is stressed, he uses Nines to relieve that stress.

Gavin: NINES! I just had to let a perp go on bullshit charges. Meet me in the interrogation room!

Nines: *not even looking up as he follows Gavin*

After months on end, possibly years of minimal or no social interaction, he decided it was about time to admit his flaws, shortcomings and overall failures that led to this.
