alright yall im giving up on this blog and on all my other jojo ask blogs

reason is bc i've lost like 3/4 of my interest in jojo and also bc of my declining mental health, so i don't have the energy anymore to keep it up and it just makes me feel guilty

just know that it was a blast for the time it lasted and this blog helped me a lot with progressing in art :) also THANK YOU to everyone who interacted!! sorry for those whose asks i will never answer, but thank you still for sending them

Thresher Sharks literally whip their meals into submission! These strange sharks feed on a variety of small schooling fish, but because they have weak jaws and relatively small teeth, they’ve learned to resort to a rather unusual method for catching their prey. Instead of using their mouths, Threshers stun their prey by slapping them with their long, whip-like tails. The Monad Shoal – a sunken island near Malapascua in the Philippines – is reported to be the only place in the world where divers can spot thresher sharks on a regular basis.

This strange, jewel-like little creature is Euprymna beryi, also known as the hummingbird bobtail squid! Despite the name, it’s actually a type of cuttlefish, not a true squid. Aside from their gorgeous iridescent patterning, they also have a bioluminescent organ inside their gill cavity that lights up at night, although it’s kept dim to avoid alerting predators. Definitely one of the prettiest cephalopods I’ve ever seen! I may do more of these mini-spotlight type things focusing on different often-overlooked organisms that I find interesting in the future!
