Hello and Welcome to this magical blog of ours! Ask the Attractions provides the opportunity to ask questions of your favourite wdw rides and attractions- all with their own unique human(ish) form and personalities! More attractions will join as time goes on but for now the four icons of the WDW parks are here to hear you out!

Twila Tower is coming to us from Hollywood Studios and her ride is the Tower of Terror!

Spade Earship is coming to us from EPCOT with their ride being Spaceship Earth

Carlie Castle of Cinderella Castle is coming to us from the Magic Kingdom

and Trevor Tree is coming to us from Animal Kingdom and the Tree of Life!!

All four of them will get their own proper introduction soon but for now, keep arms and legs inside the ride vehicle while it's in motion and get ready to ask away!

“To Everyone, what’s your favorite weather?”

Spade- “I like it when there’s some clouds but it’s still sunny. A little bot of shade can help keep everyone cool all day!”

Charlie- “I love it when it’s super sunny outside! It just energizes you and makes you excited to face the day!”

Trevor- “Well I love the sun as much as anyone else, a little bit of rain is always nice. So like... maybe a rainy morning and then sunshine for the rest of the day!”

Twila- “Is it any surprise I love a storm, darling? When it rains, it pours, and who knows... maybe lightning can strike twice.”

Charlie, what’s it like being the icon of the Magic Kingdom? Do you ever feel more aligned with Fantasyland than the rest of the park?

Charlie- “It’s a lot of fun! I mentioned before that it’s really cool to be the thing people imagine seeing when they visit! But... If I’m honest, sometimes it’s a little stressful. I mean- what if I don’t live up to people’s expectations, if I can’t deliver that magical moment? Not to mention firework and light shows. Everything needs to go perfect for those to work. But at the end of the day people steal one last glance back and smile... and that makes it all worth it. In terms of Fantasyland verses the rest of the land of the Magic Kingdom... I can’t deny the fact that I am a castle so we have a lot in common, but I love all the different lands equally! It’s so cool to see everyone together at the end of the day, once all the guests go home. Sometimes the different lands will argue over who the guests liked more in a given day and that’s when I have to step in and and calm everyone down- and sometimes that just means separating people. But we all get along most days!”

Does Sally Shine (the little girl from The Twilight Zone Tower of Tower) ever miss her parents and old life, Twila?

Twila- “There... are times, when things get quiet at the end of the night where I find her looking out over the park... I am not... a comforting figure. There is... not much I know to do in these situations. Her stardom continues when my ride is open, she captivates people- even if she is terrifying them. We spend time together, looking over the park on those nights- she tells me stories from before her elevator trip, and I tell her stories I’ve learnt over the years. The days when she feels terrible I take her outside of the tower. My... neighbor, Robbie Roller plays her songs, she plays with the lights around the park... and I think she feels better. I hope she feels better. The days after these nights she scares better and laughs harder at guest screams and I can’t help but smile.”

“Bee’s to meet you! My name’s Trevor Tree, the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom! Former home to “It’s Tough to be a Bug!” so I love bugs. To be fair I love all different kinds of animals! I love pranks and outdoor adventures. I can change my animal features to all sorts of different animals at will, which means I can be super cool all the time! I tend to drag people along for animal sightings and there isn’t an animal I can’t name! In my free time I like to hangout with all the other attractions from Animal Kingdom and making sure they’re as happy as they can be! Excited to go on new adventures with you all!!!”

How does Twila feel about the other towers of terror (Tokyo, Paris, California) ??? Are they siblings, cousins, alternate universes??? Also the fact that the California tower was rebranded raises more questions😭🙏

Twila- “How I feel about my fellow towers... Well, Demi Terreur- The tower in Paris- is my cousin, he can be... bluntly off-putting- more-so than I, even. And although I know I am timeless, it is... impressive the changes and additions he’s had to his storyline. I do love our time together, in the limited times we all gather. And Evie Hightower has Tokyo terrified, although it is a shame she doesn’t share our storylines, fear oft needs to take different forms. And I have to say, I am certainly impressed with her shake of things. It is... a shame about my dear sister Holly Tower. She used to be the Tower of California... She fully passed on several years ago. Not long after this little... creature came up to me... claimed to be Galax Break. He claimed to have been Holly’s replacement. Needless to say I turned him away at the door and I don’t speak to him. Although I hear- and this is simply a rumor- that he has a cousin over in Epcot now that people won’t stop fawning over. Spade might have a better sense. Needless to say, the different towers and I get along fairly well, save for the little imposter.”

Introducing Charlie Castle - Cinderella’s Castle

“Hello everyone!!! It’s me Charlie!! Charlie Castle of the Magic Kingdom! The main icon of the park and... well kinda of Disney World if you think about it. People from around the world dream of the moment they walk down Main Street and see me for the first time! That’s a lot of pressure!!! But also so much excitement!! I mean come on!!! I literally get to make dreams come true every day!! Not to mention who doesn’t love a firework show! Or a stage show! I love it all, every little bit of magic I can squeeze out from the world!! I just wanna give it all a great big hug!!! Some of the other attractions think I can be a little overbearing at times but I like to think I’m simply energetic and passionate! I’m so excited to meet all of you and I can’t wait to see what adventures we go on next! See you real soon!!!”

Hi Spade! What is your favorite method of communication?

Spade “What a wonderful question! Oh but how could I pick a favorite? Well.... I mean Art historically is one of the earliest forms of communication, along with sound. And I mean who doesn’t love art- Have you ever been to the Festival of the Arts here in Epcot? A magnificent thing to see, but that’s getting off track- and art can mean so many things to so many different people! Which- strictly from a communication standpoint isn’t a fantastic thing... I mean there’s always the written word- we don’t thank the Phoenicians for nothing!- and books and libraries are fantastic resources for communication... but can have a bit of a barrier to entry and can seem daunting at times.... I mean there’s always spoken language! Which is wonderful! But then what language do you pick? I mean there’s just so many and their all so incredible.... OH and not to mention the telephone! Breaking down distance as a barrier is an incredible feat- that’s not to say I’m not a huge fan of the telegraph- cause of course I am! And then radios and television for a wider audience but then that becomes more of just sending a message and a little less communicating. Oh goodness me! How could I have forgotten the internet! The literal form I’m using to communicate with you right now?! Of course the internet has it’s drawbacks as well... Oh and then-”

Spade diverts into a long winded rant about all other forms of communication. listing out pros and cons, but the pro side has many, many more points than cons for every form. It seems as though there may not be a concrete answer to this question.

Introducing Spade Earship - Spaceship Earth

"Hello all! My name is Spade Earship- or Spaceship Earth- or... the Epcot ball, as I have been called from time to time. I don't mind really, it's all just another form of conveying the same idea! My attraction opened on October 1st, 1982 in Epcot! I've been known to either talk your ears off or talk you to sleep... which is fine by me honestly, everyone needs rest! Just as my ride deals with the history of communication, I am obsessed with history and communication! So as you can guess I'm excited about being able to answer all your questions here on this blog! Isn't the internet such a marvelous place! I'm sure I'll see you all around! Have a fantastic day!"

Hey Twila, what's it like to be 31 years old?

Twila-"Charmed you asked dear. At once it feels like forever while no time has passed. So much has changed in the park around me, and there have been so many experiences... and yet I feel much like I was the day I opened. Is it much too on the nose to say I feel like I might have been sent into the vortex of the twilight zone to maintain my beauty... perhaps but it feels right. The most... impactful part of age has been the change amongst my surrounding attractions and my status as the current icon of Hollywood Studios- a position I am most grateful for. I am glad to still be as relevant as I am- a benefit of being timeless. The best advice I can give... perhaps you should consider taking the stairs, lest you find yourself crossing over into the Twilight Zone."

Introducing Twila Tower- Tower of Terror

"Good day all, My name is Twila Tower- I'm sure you've heard of me. My ride opened in July of 1994 in Hollywood Studios, and i have since become the parks icon. I am clearly one of the most sophisticated of the attractions, however I am fond of the obscure and bizarre. Just like the ill fated riders of the 1930's I am slightly electrified, so a touch from me is certain to deliver a shock. I look forward to being your favorite attraction here on this... blog... thing. Good day!"
