Redesign Samson

i’ve actually redesigned samson recently!

this was the first sketch i ever did of him colored, and here’s his new ref i did recently

i don’t have a tablet, so i don’t do clean lineart all that often cuz it takes me so long, but i felt like giving it a shot for my boy. not much has really changed, save for how i draw toons in general and his face tbh. he used to look more like a brute since i didn’t have a grasp on his personality quite yet.

now he’s a lot more gentle looking. oh, and he has a smooshed form too. you can see more of him over at his blog here!

don’t worry tho, i’m not cheating y’all out of a redesign in saying this! samson started out as a cuphead oc for a spin off idea called cuphead: back down to earth, so i thought it would be fun to return him to his cuphead boss roots.

i imagine his bossfight functions like king dice’s, where he stands a ways back and throws shit at you from a ways away. poor mugman’s having a rough week XD

(( hey everyone! Just wanted to let y’all know this blog isn’t dead! I have a couple asks I’ve been meaning to answer, and I plan on doing so soon. Sorry for the radio silence on my part. ;;;

The truth is, I’ve actually been working on turning this concept for Samson and his kids into a webcomic! I’ve really taken a shine to this boy and his kids, and so have my friends, so we’re in the middle of preproduction right now.

This blog is still gonna be an ask blog for Samson, but I’m gonna steer it away from Cuphead and keep it more Oc toon centric. that, and I plan on introducing more characters of mine I’ve made for the webcomic, so y’all have more people to ask! Not sure if I should change the username of the blog to reflect that there’s more than one person to ask now, but I digress.

Thanks for following this blog and your patience with me. You guys are part of the reason why I’ve committed to making this into something, and I can’t thank y’all enough. 💘💘💘 ))

He’s @cool-city’s boy and he’s jupiter in the mob. he and Nerissa get along well, even tho jove is an introverted, soft spoken boi compared to her. he hyperfixates on the old west and is a negotiating type as well which is… kind of needed in the mob, all things considered
