“Hey, you alright ‘Kichi? You’ve been pretty quiet.”
“Yeah I’m just…..tired..” *Kokichi didn’t even have the strength to put up his usual playful persona, he was physically and emotionally drained.*
“Yeah I think we’re all pretty wiped out. What about you two, you guys holdin’ up alright?” @ask-the-ultimate-poet
I-I’ve been better, but it’s f-fine. I’m just w-worried.
Yeah, same here. I think I’m gonna head up to my room for a bit.
*Vincent kissed Tetsu on the cheek, then waved at Mondo and Kokichi before going up the stairs to his room*
*Mondo seemed to have spaced out for a moment before snapping out of it.*
“Huh? Oh yeah, see ya vince.”

*Vincent nodded in Mondo’s direction as he disappeared from view, leaving the remaining three boys to get themselves together. Tetsu smoothed the fabric of his cardigan and cleared his throat after a moment of silence*
A-Are either of you hungry? I c-can make some food, if you’d like.
The Group Returns Home
*Mondo held Kokichi’s hand as the group (Excluding Shadow) walked in the door.*

At The Hospital
*Kokichi was still in shock of the whole situation. He sat in the empty waiting room as Mondo paced restlessly in front front of him.*
“Damn it…shit…why’d I let her leave the house…why didn’t I fight back…” *Mondo punched the wall as hard as he could.*
“DAMMIT, SHIT!”
*Kokichi winched at Mondo’s sudden outburst.*
“Shit…..”
“Oh, ‘Kichi I..” *Mondo Sighed deeply*
“I’m sorry ‘Kichi, I didn’t mean to scare ya I’m just…pretty messed up right now.”
“It’s fine I….I think we’re all pretty freaked out. I called Fukase and he should be here soon. Now we just have to wait for Shadow…”

As if Kokichi had summoned him, Shadow came walking from Sylvia’s hospital room. The look on his face was almost unreadable, but it was pretty clear that there was a mix of emotions in his heart. He groaned as he approached Kokichi and Mondo with his hands in his pockets. He let out a gentle sigh to calm down before finally speaking up in a monotone voice.
“Hey guys… Sorry for the wait. I was talkin’ to the docs to see what was up and I didn’t wanna leave Sylvia’s side… But I was assured that all was okay and well, they’re doin’ what they can. She’ll be alright though, I’m sure of it…” he ran a hand through his hair. “You guys okay though? That whore didn’t do anything to hurt y'all too badly, did she?”
“Nah, she didn’t hurt us too bad other than bruised wrists and knot on the back of my head. She knocked me and out first and when I woke up, ‘Kichi Tetsu and Vincent were there too, all tied up and shit, but awake.”
“Sylvia had gone out to run an errand, so it was just me, Mondo, Tetsu and Vincent. I heard Mondo make a weird noise and then a thud, so I went upstairs to see check on him. I saw him laying on the ground all tied up and next thing I know, I’m being grabbed from behind with a knife to my throat. Tetsu and Vincent came in eventually, and she told them to get on the ground or she’d kill me. Mondo woke up when we all heard Sylvia scream…” @ask-theshadowcyborg
*As if on cue, the doors to the waiting room were pushed open, and two boys walked in*
H-Hey, Ouma-san, Oowada-san.
How are you guys holding up? Any news on Miss Sylvia?
*Vincent had an arm wrapped around Tetsu, and while they both had noticed Shadow’s presence when they walked in, they paid him little attention, and instead walked over to Mondo and Kokichi and sat down near them*

Shadow didn’t seem to mind that Tetsu and Vincent didn’t acknowledge him, since it was pretty clear to him that they still couldn’t trust him. He simply just looked forward and sighed. Several questions ran through his head as he sat there, resting his hands in his lap. Where was Persephone now? Did she plan to attack anyone else? If so, who was next? He began feeling a little anxious, squeezing his legs as he tried to take slow breaths and not let his negative thoughts bother him.

“This whole shit show just pisses me off! Who the hell would wanna kill such a sweet chick? She was completely defenseless too! Who the hell even was that crazy bitch?” *Mondo caught himself before he started yelling too loud For Tetsu’s sake.*

“That crazy bitch was my mother…” Shadow answered Mondo’s question without even looking over at him. “Someone Sylvia rescued me from years ago… Someone I’d sworn I’d left behind years ago… Someone I hoped wouldn’t come back ever again.” his expression was left unchanged, but there was definitely pain in his tone. He gripped tighter onto his legs, now looking down at the floor.
“Damnit… I shouldn’t have left the house… I should’ve known that bitch would come back around to try and cause trouble to Sylvia… Had I known, I wouldn’t have even gone back to my dorm… Fuck…” he sighed as he sat back in his chair, trying to calm down. But it didn’t seem to work, he’d only seemed to panic even further.
“This is all my fault, I should’ve took extra precautions, I should’ve paid more attention, I shouldn’t have let my guard down! If I had done that, Sylvia would be safe, you guys would be safe Damnit… Damnit damnit damnit! I’m a fucking idiot!” he’d only gripped tighter and tighter onto himself. His nails were practically digging into his nails up to this point and he’d begun to breathe heavily.

*Mondo walked over as well,* “Damn right. Both of you did nothin’ wrong, and if your asshole parents ever come after either of you again, I’ll beat the shit out of em’, just like me and my bro did to my asshole dad, got it? Shadow looked at each of them, a bit of tears flowing from his eyes. His breathing began to slow a bit as he started to calm down. He looked to Kokichi, who’d been holding his wrists and let out a gentle sigh before speaking up. “Thanks, guys… I’m uhhh… I’m sorry for the trouble. I won’t let this happen again.” he said with a determined look, but one that eventually became distant. This usually signified that Shadow had gotten a thought. His voice became very slowed and somewhat out of it. “I promise… nobody will have to be afraid… ever again…”

So how are you two doing? Is Vincent taking good care of Tetsu?
We’ve been taking care of each other, actually. Even though cases of coronavirus aren’t that big, Tsu-Tsu and I have been keeping a close eye on each other. Before the whole incident at Miss Sylvia’s house, I got pretty sick, and he made sure I was taken care of.
I-It was pretty scary, b-but I’m glad he’s better. Right now, I-I’m just... worried about Miss Price.

“Hello dear, I don’t mind at all.. My job is rather simple however. I care for the orphans since they are a few months old like a mother until they are adopted. I am rather good at finding them places to live as well and most orphans end up getting adopted when they are fifteen max.. We have study time and I make sure each of them are given three full meals per day with a light snack around noon.” She bowed her head towards Tetsu and smiled.. though her eyes seemed almost numb for some reason.
T-That must be difficult to do on your own. If you ever n-need any help, I’d be happy to lend a hand. I’m n-not sure how well I’d do, b-but I think I’m pretty good with kids, s-so just let me know if I can assist you in any way.
