you know what really gets me about mando and baby yoda???

the narrative frames him as an actual Capable Guardian.

usually male characters with small children are framed as incapable or unwilling to share time with them??? or even when they are there’s always a female character to hover like “you’re doing it WRONG let ME do it” or there’s always someone to imply he needs a female character to take over that duty but HERE, like, we know dyn isn’t perfect, we SEE it, but he’s actively trying to take care of yiddle and he’s not ashamed or embarrassed to give him nicknames or food or even when other people call him HIS and it’s super heartwarming but it’s also refreshing to see a Strong Silent Male Character be such a good caregiver to a baby when being in the same airspace as an infant is seen as such a weird THREAT to masculinity!!!!!!!
